We called in advance to confirm a pet fee twice and they told us $25 flat rate. When we went to check out they charged us $25 a night. We were told at checkout we signed a form confirming that rate. However, we were never presented a form at check in which means they never had us sign any documentation confirming a daily fee. They would not negate the pet fee at check out citing only a manager can. Management will not answer the phone so we can not reclaim the fee we never signed off on. They stole our money and cannot be trusted going forward.

We are very dissatisfied with our stay at the Garden Place Hotel on 7/17/2024. We had been given a handicapped room 103 since our son has a vision disability and sees out of only one eye. More space is beneficial to our son when navigating and walking. As we entered the room we noticed that the furniture was very outdated, rugs stained, ceiling cracking, chairs stained, and lamp was almost tipping over. There was also a very strong musty smell when walking down the hallways and within the room. Besides, all of the above mentioned, our family was unable to use the bathroom in the room since it almost overflowed when we flushed it. In speaking to the front desk, we were told there is no maintenance available until the following day. We were told we could change rooms, but that would be difficult with our child with ADHD / vision disability who was hyper and ready for bed. Instead we had to use the hotel bathroom outside our room which was a big inconvenience and especially hard for our son with his vision disability needing more space and having to transition outside the room. We spoke to the front desk at checkout today 7/18/24 and were told we could contact Nick S after 9:00 am. At 9:00 am, a voicemail was left for Nick S. We never heard back and we called the hotel again at 12:00 pm to followup. We were told by Brian at the front desk that Nick S was in meetings and wasn't able to listen to voicemail, but will get back to us and we left our number. It is 7:15 pm and we have not had any correspondence from Nick S. It is not acceptable to have been charged $208.97 for the night for a handicap accessible room which our sons needs and wasn't able to use the bathroom. It is unprofessional for our calls to not be answered and for not taking into an account the needs of a child will a disability. We feel we should be fully refunded on our credit card on file the $208.97 that we paid in cash at check in due to lack of accommodations of a child with a disability.

During my stay 9/8/23-9/10/23: On 9/9/23 someone entered my room and stole my computer bag, dressing gown and underwear; apparently by using my bathroom towels to conceal the items. The hotel staff made no effort to determine how it happened, no apologies,. About an hour after I notified the reception desk of the theft, I ask a room cleaner in the hallway for fresh towels-he gave me 2 soiled damp towels. Between 11:30pm and 1:00am 2 males had a loud pushing shoving match directly outside my room door. I checked out at 3AM. Never rec'd any acknowledgement about these incidents-filed a police report upon returning home.
