    My situation; Verbally agreed to quote of $1200-$1300, total was $1275 Moved 9-13-24 Moved my entire house, cracked the internal screen of my large TV. Found out 9-15-24 as was unpacking the house and the TV was not a priority to set up. No insurance, no contracts, complete lack of responsibility. Below is a review I wrote of the company that explains more of the situation. He, the father of the owner, was totally on board with "making it right, and leaving with everyone happy" until I told him the cost of the TV, $1,700, that was damaged (broken). Then stood his ground and said unless you can tell me how i can do better I will not pay for it. I not a mover and not being over their shoulders 24/7 to observe every move they make could not. I could only see my TV that was in 100% condition was now broken" The tv in question, which was loaded and secured by said father NOT the movers, received a cracked internal screen from what i assume the edge of something smacking into it. But since the exterior of the screen was intact he said it was "an electronical issue, and I don't know much about that" The exterior screen is much more durable by the way, so makes full sense that you can break the interior without damaging the exterior. He then asked my profession to ask what I'd do in a similar situation, I provided a few ways this could be prevented or safeguarded. I told him to get insurance and have contracts in place to safeguard yourself and the customer, and to maybe show the movers the electronics work before and after moving but "those cost more money and would add time to the move and would then past more cost down to the customer" I'm sorry I'd rather pay for 5 more minutes on my move than pay to replace all my broken electronics. I cannot put the entire blame on the workers themselves as they did a seemingly good job, minus broken TV. Just simply a very poor representation of ownership and personal responsibility.

    My name is ****** with Truesdell Moving/Trucking, I was emailing you in regards to a complaint we had received in the mail, complaint ID: ********. The complaint was filed on 9/18/2024, the issues was also resolved and handled on 9/18/2024.

    I had reached out to the customer after seeing a review left on google to try and resolve the issue. Customer stated he would like to have total amount of $1,700 (price of tv damaged). We personally gave the customer back his check that he paid us with in the amount of $1,275 along with $425 cash, equaling the $1,700 he had requested.

    He has since updated his review on google and was happy the situation was resolved.
