The amount paid in total is $30,000 for labor The home remodel started mid December and lasted to mid January. 5 total weeks. There are major issues with the quality of work. A lot of things were done incorrectly and carelessly from what was talked about and also not to standards on some things. Drywall was to have any damaged pieces repaired or replaced and we have holes throughout the house that were just painted over. Outlets that fall out of the wall, drywall around outlets are damaged. nails sticking out of the ground and screws on the fence (we have kids). We have wires exposed on light fixtures. Creaky subfloor that were brought to their attention well before the floors were finished for not being mounted properly and or uneven, contractor response( modular homes will be like that sometimes) The wrong primer was used on the walls that was discussed for a specific purpose(killz odor blocker) paint is so thin in some spots we can see the primer and also we can see the labels on the drywall from the paint being so thin. They didn’t complete the painting. They missed trim/quarter round and retainer and transition strips on multiple spots in the house.there was No finishing touches were done covering nail holes and no caulking. Contractors also left trash all over the property. Part of the contract includes things that weren’t done(building shelves and putting backsplash on the walls). French doors that were installed are crooked and isn’t sealing properly at the threshold. Once the contractors were paid they ghosted myself and my fiancé. Left us on “read” for more than a week then we had to call them off a different phone to get them to answer. They met us at the house so we could talk about what needs fixed and finished and the owner ended up raising his voice yelling at me and walking out on us. I have photos and videos of the house and conversations documenting everything. Audio and videos won’t fit on here but can be uploaded another way if needed.
