Obsessively reporting to the credit agency 4 to 5 times a month making derogatory marks bringing my husbands credit score down at least the lease 100 or more points.Incorrectly reported to the credit agencies acting as if they are our finance company or we financed a vehicle from them which is not the case they only gave us a title loan on my husbands car. Reporting on our credit like an auto loan and are threating to report a repo on our credit. They reported a day early that we were late so when we called to pay the next day which was supposed to be the last day to be late had T'Seana stated that it was to late and they had already reported to the credit agency they also were telling us we owed more then reported. They are charging 800 plus dollars in repo fees just to get the car back. Prior to them getting the vehicle and becoming behind on the payments my husband had a devastating death in the family that he did not take well at all his little brother was killed so we asked Tebo for some time to get things together but they still had no regard to what we have been dealing with. The vehicle was stolen my husband told the the tow yard that had the car that there was a title loan on it. We weren't able to get the car because the tow company was charging 400 plus dollars to get it out even though it had been stolen and we didn't that to pay considering my husband had just lost his little brother. Now the company that they had pick the vehicle up is refusing to allow my husband to get his music from the car saying it was wired and Tebo said not to allow him to take anything that is wired to the vehicle which it should have not been because he hadn't started to install anything prior to the car being stolen because of tebos actions it has caused us a huge amount of distress they have sabotaged our livelihood we were just about pre approved for our mortgage so that we could move from our current home that is causing us heath problems due to mold and lead.Business response

Tell us why here...TEBO reports once per month at the end of each month to both ******* and ***** *****. Both tradelines appear to be reporting correctly, per the last date reported. The last payment made on the account was January 9th, 2023. The consumer has an auto secured loan with TEBO. TEBO recovered the vehicle from Impound, because of this the repossession remark is valid. The account was over 60 days delinquent at the time of repossession. Per the terms of the security agreement, Ms. ******** signed at the time of loan, “property includes all parts, accessories, repairs, replacements, improvements, and accessions to the Property.”Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. You guys did not finance us for any vehicles that is my husband car you guys never owned the vehicle. A title loan and a auto are 2 total different things they are not the same nor related what so ever. You guys are running a deceptive business tricking and lying to your customers. That is definitely not right at all.

Tameka ********Initial Complaint

As of 11/26/22 I am fully paid up on my car loan to Tebo financial services which bought out my loan in around October of 2021 from bobs buy here pay here in Erie, PA. I had perfect on time payments up until April of this past year when I lost my job and was denied unemployment my PA. I ended up moving out to ********, and slowly paying back by car loan once I established employment out here. I had over 60% of the loan paid off at the time but the harassment would never stop. They are demanding, have no empathy, and have caused me immense anxiety. My step dad passed away last month and his car loan is through the same company. He was not legally married to my mom and they are now harassing her and his phone which we don’t have access to but can see missed calls and voicemails. They are a ******* company. I currently only owe $946 on the car loan…. I’ve paid over $5000 to the company and they are now threatening to repo me it I make one more late payment in the future. Seems they are amping up the harassment as a last ditch effort to try and steal my car from me. I’m paid up and am not late currently.Business response

TEBO received an email from Ms. ****** inquiring about a letter that was sent to them. TEBO sent a letter known as a “Right to Cure,” which is required, due to state laws, to be sent to the consumer prior to repossession efforts. The letter was sent to the debtor on 11/7/2022, and 11/21/2022, at which the consumer’s account would have been 30 days past due. As of today, Ms. ******** account is current.
TEBO reached out via email to explain this letter to Ms. ******. TEBO understands Ms. ****** would like no further contact, and will honor that. If the account should reach 30 days past due in the future, TEBO would send a letter per state laws, etc, or any other letters as required by law.Customer response

To Whom It May Concern:
In September of 2021, a previous BBB complaint was submitted by Mr. ********** At that time, TEBO and Mr. ********* reached an agreement for payment arrangements of $50 per week to be paid to TEBO. This arrangement was to begin September 24th, 2021. At that time, TEBO sent a certified letter to Mr. ********* explaining the balance and confirming this payment arrangement. TEBO instructed Mr. ********* with the account number and how to pay as he requested via money order.
TEBO has not received a payment from Mr. ********* since April 2019. The payments of $50 per week as agreed were never met. TEBO attempted to contact Mr. ********* regarding the missed payments, with no return response. In May of 2022, TEBO forwarded this account to Keith ****** and Associates for further collection efforts. Mr. ********* may contact Keith Weiner and Associates to make arrangements and discuss repayment of the balance. They can be contacted by telephone at ************.Customer response

Upon receipt of this complaint, TEBO investigated the claims made by Mr. ****** Our findings concluded a payment was made on the TEBO website using a routing and account number, matching the payment amount as described in the complaint.
TEBO reached out to Mr. ***** via telephone and explained the findings. At that time, TEBO confirmed Mr. ******s address and sent a check to him via regular mail for the desired amount of $36.00. This $36.00 check was for the NSF fees Mr. ***** incurred.
