On 5/10/2024 New Buck Chimney performed repair and cleaning work on my chimney. They were paid $1000 for that service at the time of work. I also ordered a chimney cap in which a deposit of $1196 was written with a separate check to the owner George F*****. Several calls were made to New Buck Chimney requesting an installation date which they provided but never performed claiming various reasons. It is clear that New Buck Chimney has no intention of installing the chimney cap I ordered from them. I gave them a deadline of 6/8/2024 to have it installed which Ed agreed to but did not show up thus the complaint with you. They claim to be a BBB member on their invoice. Thank you.

On 8.31.23, they installed a new stainless steel liner in my chimney. It worked for a couple of months, then it began smoking up the house.  I contacted them in November, and the vm says the person you're trying to reach is not available. Then I texted him.  He said he would come out in February. Then he said one of his crew was hurt in Columbus, and he couldn't get out. I have not heard from him since.

On August 29, 2022, we had this company sweep our chimney (invoice/receipt attached). We've used this company several times, and have never had an issue with their sweep services (this time included). At the time of service, they recommended a new chimney cap ($209.95 + tax) and advised they would be installing for many people the next day. I agreed, asked for this to be added to my invoice, and pre-paid this extra amount alongside my payment for the sweep. They did not return to install the cap that was paid for. I was initially able to speak with the office manager, who rescheduled the installation after realizing that they hadn't completed it. No one showed on the rescheduled date. The office manager has since stopped accepting and returning my calls. I was able to speak once with the owner a month or two ago. He cited medical issues causing delays, so I gave him time to make things right. Unfortunately, he's since be out of touch since (hope he's okay), and I'm unable to reach anyone in the company to help resolve this. At this point, I'd be fine with having the work completed (cap installed) or a partial refund of the invoiced amount to deduct the $209.95 cap & associated tax.

We called New Buck to clean our chimney - after waiting three hours and another three weeks, they never showed up or returned calls. We had another company come out to inspect and clean the fireplace/chimney. They found that the liner we had installed by New Buck was the incorrect size and had caused a chimney fire toward the end of last year. The liner has cracks, glazed creosote, and is a fire hazard. In addition, the masonry work was done incorrectly and not up to code. The estimate to replace their work is $6,600. The company still has not returned phones calls. In response to a ******** review - here is the response I received from the "new owner" Eddy R****** Who are you if your cat poops bigger turds than you are I wouldn't want to clean that up either lol probably your a bad customer or maybe they are busy stop talking on the megaphone about the negative stuff they have been struggling since the COVID NOBODY wants to work one person trying to do everything way to go he keeps on trucking along because he tries his best give him a break your not going to freeze anytime soon calm down ?? they are doing their best nobody wants to work only the one who cares your tearing him apart he takes it seriously and is trying he's had bad employees since **** ****** has passed away can't find nobody like him 4w Eddy R****** Can't sleep at night because of people like you ?? if you do something good for somebody they won't review nothing if you do something that makes somebody mad they get on the megaphone and complain and try to ruin people's life that goes out and works a… See more Absolutely a horrible company to do business with!!!

We hired a chimney company to place a stainless steel liner into out chimney to prevent chimney fires. The company informed us that we had a crack in out flue and that this could cause other fires. We agreed and paid the full price for the liner to be installed. We recently had a new company come out to do our yearly inspection and cleaning and we were informed that our liner was only partially completed and that there was now creosote in between the liner and the flue which is hazardous. Along with the enhanced fire risk we were also informed that this could cause carbon monoxide to leak into out home resulting in harm and potential death to humans and pets. I made an appointment with the company for them to come out and verify that their work was done properly. It took one week and multiple calls to even get a hold of someone at New Buck Chimney and they canceled my appointment moments before the expected arrival time. We rescheduled for the nest week and then no one ever showed up. Now they will not answer my calls at all. We have the original quote and Bill if needed.

Per phone conversation with Ed, depending on when this work was completed, he is thinking this was done before he and his partner bought the company.  He is willing to come out and take a look at the work.  Please call him ###-###-####.
