Laundrymat itself is good. Machines are effective. Comfortable and clean environment. Free wifi and reasonably priced snacks. They do use generic cleaning products with small portions. What is something I do not recommend is their laundry services. I opted for a two day service. The items were washed and folded, however one of the shirts were bleached. I went inside to speak to the owner there. She was rude and nasty! Didn’t bother getting off the phone to talk to me, she acted as if I bothered her because I interrupted her gossiping over the phone. She told me to provide proof that I paid for the shirt, which I did via an app I purchased it on, and she said the shirt was one years old (it’s actually 10 mos old), and it wasn’t that important. She stated that she would check with one of her girls and possibly give me half off for the price of the shirt that they ruined! Stating over and over that the shirt was over was close to a year old and it wasn’t that important. It was important! It was my son’s previous cycle martial arts uniform! We collect those. She did not care to hear this and did not bother to make eye contact, apologize, or attempt to seem remorseful. Very nasty, scowling at me, acting as if I was the dirt on her shoe. It’s been close to a week, haven’t gotten a call, email, anything to rectify this. Wasn’t really expecting to. I will never, ever, go to that establishment again. There are other washing machines and laundry services in the area and I would not, use that one. If you are OK being treated like trash and like a second class citizen then yes possibly. But as an owner of two businesses, I know that’s no way to treat a customer. Even reading the responses they make to reviews that aren’t 5 stars, will tell you what you need to know about their customer service. If you do decide to go on, do know that you run the risk of your clothes being ruined as well as getting crappy Customer Service as well. Do not recommend.Centerville Cleaners Coin Laundry Response

Shantell, You are correct, the Laundromat is good, not only good but excellent. We provide an excellent coin op enviroment for customers to wash their own laundry and we also provide an excellent Wash, Dry and Fold service. We DO NOT use generic laundry products. As far as the portions used, the amount goes right along with the size of the load being washed. When you spoke with me, I was not on the phone gossiping, I did make eye contact with you and yes, I did ask if you had a receipt of how much you paid for the garment you state we ruined. The receipt that you presented to me off of your phone showed a date of April 2023. That is 15 months ago, I NEVER stated that "it wasn't that important". The garment looked worn and older. My staff is very good about letting me know of any issues that may arise and this was not one of them, I did ask you what you were wanting and you stated simply, "to let me know". I did speak with my employee who processed your order and she stated upon folding that there was no shirt that looked like what you presented to me. I am sorry you are not pleased.Customer Response

Julie, You are not sorry I am not pleased. Matter of fact, you have presented not one, but two untruths in this “response” alone. The shirt was purchased in August. August the 21st to be exact. Do not forget that I have the receipt and can provide proof to you (again) as well as this platform. Secondly, you reporting that you use name brand products is also something that you told me before I used your services. However, with my own eyes, I saw the jumbo-sized, Kirkland products being used to launder other customers’ products. So, unless you used Tide/Brand Name for me, and only me, I can conclude that that isn’t true as well. Lastly, it doesn’t matter if the shirt was “old” to you. It served as great importance to me, and as a business owner, if your staff ruined property that was paid you to clean, you should at the least try and rectify it. You, as a human (who does not know me, my story, or my son’s journey), do not get to decide what items are of importance to another person. You are not entitled to do that and at your age, you should know better. Instead, your response to this was that your employees didn’t know anything about the shirt (which you did not take a photo of the shirt to present to them. I’d assume that they see hundreds of shirts per week…you didn’t even do your due diligence to even attempt to LOOK like you tried). Furthermore, you, in fact, did not ask me what I wanted, because if you did, I wouldn’t be here writing this response. It would have been rectified instead of me having to go directly to my credit card servicer and refute the cost of the shirt. Please do better. No only with your business acumen-ship, but in your abilities to be truthful when confronted. Have the day you deserve, Julie.Review from Shirley K

Centerville Cleaners Coin Laundry washed my bed comforter and destroyed it. It was in excellent condition when I gave it to them but when I got it home and removed it from the plastic bag there were rips in the fabric and the filling was bunched up into the center of the comforter. It looked as though the machine agitator was set too high and the employee mishandled it when wet. There is absolutely no way that the employee did not see the damage when it was removed from the washer. Furthermore, the king-size comforter was carefully folded so the damages were not visible through the plastic bag. When I called the owner, Lesa Hunter, to discuss the problem, all she did was criticize me and accuse me of lying. She said about a third of the comforters that are over two years old will bunch. Why wasn’t I told this in the beginning? I have searched for a replacement, but Macy’s has discontinued this bedding collection. I have spoken with experts to get it repaired, but the consensus is that the damages are beyond repair. Several people in the area who are familiar with Centerville Laundromat have told me of problems with this business. I wish the problems had been reported so I would not have used this laundromat. The large machines are faulty, at least one member of the staff is inexperienced and deceitful, and the owner is a viscous bully. This company should restrict its business to customer-operated machines. They are irresponsible and not capable of managing a staff who must provide quality services to all clients. I understand that owning a small business is hard work. Successful businesses take pride in their services and strive to grow. I prefer to support these businesses. My recommendation is to use caution with the services at Centerville Cleaners.Review from Am H

Rude establishment I have been using the wash/fold service for months now. I usually drop off a small/medium order in the am and get a message to pick-up later in the afternoon. I hadn’t gotten any messages for order pickup in the afternoon this time so I called the laundromat to inquire. The employee, who later told me that she’s the owner’s daughter, was incredibly rude and angry upon my inquiry. When I came back to retrieve my order that hadn’t been started, I just wanted a reimbursement and to leave but the same lady refused to reimburse me until I listened to her rant about how I should be thanking her for business. I wasn’t upset about the policy or that the order wasn’t started, but rather the employee’s harassment. No customer in any situation or of any racial background should have to put up with this behavior. I spoke to the owner who not only did not acknowledge the situation but rather told me something along the lines of good luck finding another place here. I found a place online later that day. They offered same day and next day services. They came to my location to pick up and drop off the laundry and they were even cheaper than this laundromat plus they were actually kind and thanked me for my business. I will be using this online service from now on so that’s a plus. However, rudeness and harassment of customers is not ok.Centerville Cleaners Coin Laundry Response

This review was made by a Wash, Dry, Fold customer. This customer has been coming in once a month since February of 2022. With the exception of August and December. She usually drops off a minimum order which would be 10lbs. On several occasions, the orders have been slightly larger. The normal practice for a drop off customer is, drop off and your order will be marked for return "next day by 2:00 pm". We take in many orders daily that are well more than just the minimum of 10lbs. There may be the chance that when a customer drops off that they may get a text that their order has been completed and can be picked up that same day, NOT ALWAYS. It depends on many factors. When they drop off there may already be alot of orders already in line ahead of their drop off to be completed. We do our very best to be accomidating. Just so happens that on the day this customer dropped off, we were slammed and very busy and same day return was not possible. Fortunate for this customer that previous orders have been turned around quickly, same day. The employee that this customer is stating that was incredibly rude to her, is the exact, same employee that has turned her previous orders around for her same day. Customer on these same day turn arounds had previously raved about this employee as been very fast, sweet, so kind, etc. But now that the owner took her order in and it was not going to be turned around same day she gets angry, doesnt like being told it won't be same day this time and feels enlitiled that it get done, she gets mad, comes into the business to pick up her order, gives the employee a hard time infront of other customers (and I have spoken with them) and states that her 1 review will ruin my business. We were happy to return her money to her. I take great offense in the fact that the customer throws out the racial statement. We are not racial by any means. We take great pride in our business, our customers and are a very friendly, upbeat establishment. I welcome anyone to read our many positive google reviews.Customer Response

I read the owner’s response. Misrepresenting the employee’s behavior and lying about what I said and did might help the owner in ignoring my complaint but we both know the truth. No customer should be treated this way regardless of their racial background. In this day and age, thank God there are other options for my business and I do not have to put up with this rude behavior. However, ignoring this complaint only means that it will happen again and to other customers. That means the owners will eventually have to address their own behavior at some point.
