********** ****** paid CDS and the amount I was responsible for was $48.80. CDS charged me $80.80. I have tried three times to get a refund for the difference and they always say 2 weeks. It's been since May. This is not first time this has happened. I hand an implant and they overcharged me over $1,000.00.. It took over a month to get that back. S********, The one in charge of the insurance, always says the problem has been straightened out and I will be refunded. It has not been straightened out because this is at least twice (maybe more for me). She showed me a list of people that they had over charged so I am not the only one. Seems shady to me....Initial Complaint

Cincinnati Dental owes me $66.80. I have the information to prove it. They don't deny the claim. This has been going on for a year. I have gone to their office 3 times asking for a refund, but they have not refunded my money. They say it will take 4 to 6 weeks to receive the payment.Customer response

My son had dental work done by the ******** ** office over 4 separate visits. I was given an estimate on out of pocket cost prior and paid at each appointment. After the appointments I was told I had a large balance that didn't make sense as I do have insurance I asked if they sent a claim to my insurance which I was assured they did but had not received payment. I then contacted my insurance company to find out no claim was ever sent. I got both my insurance and the dental office on a 3 way call and was finally able to get that resolved and insurance claim sent. A few months later I received a check on the mail for a little over 200 dollars which I assumed was from what I paid out of pocket and insurance ended up covering. I thought everything was settled at this point. About 2 months ago I get a phone call stating that I owe over 1k dollars, I immediately question this and state that doesn't make sense I paid out of pocket each time I was there and my insurance paid and I wad sent a check from this office. The person I was talking to had no clue about any of it couldn't tell me what the charges were for why I owed that much why I was sent a check and said she would have a manager call me back. That call was never received. I then get an online statement saying I owe over 200 dollars with no description of charges whatsoever. I have attached this bill. I have called this office numerous times to request and explanation of charges no one ever answers the phone or returns the phone call. We have gone from me owing over 1k dollars to now 200 all of which have 0 explanation. I am requesting an explanation of the charges that I am being asked to pay and an itemized statement including what insurance paid and what I paid put of pocket.Initial Complaint

I went to Cincinnati Dental in April 2024 to have upper and lower dentures made. I was told they send out to have dentures made and that I would have to come back in for fitting's when the dentures would come back from lab. I have gone twice in the 2 months for a fitting. I had my 3rd appointment last Thursday 5/23 @ 2:oopm, they called to remind him of his appointment that morning. I went to my appointment and when I got there I found out that my dentures weren't even back. I waisted my gas, and my time. They knew that morning and the afternoon that my dentures were not in. No kinda of communication from this at all, I just called today to see if they were back and they said no, with no explanation.Initial Complaint

My insurance paid 1192.00 for my denture & I paid 453.00 for the premium denture. I wasted my time & money at this place. They know the system really well & know how to scam people out of their money. I received the denture 8/2023 & was very disappointed because the denture did not align with my natural teeth. When I called to see if anything could be done, I was told "no". I called later & got another agent on the phone & she made me an appointment for 1/31/2024. I asked that the denture align & the color of the acrylic was not of my choice. I would think they could fix both at the same time, but no, they drug it out for 9 times when I had to keep returning & finally gave up 4/24/2024 when the elder dentist said that I would not be happy with anything & said I would get a refund. No, I will not accept a denture that glows in the dark & does not align with my natural teeth. According to this website, they have a history of not paying people back. The edgewood practice has no integrity at all.Initial Complaint

I visited this office in Jan 2024. I am a college student who came home for a dental visit. This was my first time visiting the office without a parent, despite my age of 21. I was told I should have a flouride treatment done while in the examination room without being told there would be a charge for this service. Not knowing this would costs additional out-of-pocket money (my visits are always covered by insurance) I told the hygienist to go ahead since she was highly suggesting it. When I went to leave the office, I was told I actually had to pay for this service. Not wanting to be confrontational at the time, I went ahead and paid and spoke to my parents (whose insurance I am under as a college student) on why I was charged? My father called the office and was told that as a student our insurance would cover the costs and my daughter would be refunded the balance. It turns out, our insurance does not cover this treatment. When we called the office back, we were repeatedly told the billing manager was not in (vacation, family emegency etc..) and they would contact us. We never heard back. Finally today, my father called and spoke to a receptionist whose response was that they were not going to refund my card. I would have never elected to have this optional service done if I knew at the time they offered I would definitely have to pay as I do not have extra disposable income as a college student. I am seeking a full refund for the misrepresentation made while sitting in the exam room and being highly "encouraged" to have this elective service done without being told the cost upfront.Initial Complaint

I visited this dentist in February of 2023 and started the process for dentures. They charged me $2,319 and required me to pay up front. I paid this in full, only to discover via automated text message in September that I have a "positive balance" on my account. Come to find out, I was overcharged $1,167! I went into the dentist office in November for a consultation on replacing my lower denture and requested to be refunded the overpayment. I called their billing office in December 2023, January 2024, and again in February 2024 because I had yet to be refunded. I am a senior citizen and on a fixed income so $1,000+ is A LOT OF MONEY for me to not have and be entitled to. I was told their policy is to "not release funds until all claims are settled." Moreover, according to them, because I visited them in November and that claim hadn't settled from insurance, they couldn't release the funds. I told them this overpayment predates the November visit and I should have already been returned the money. I even offered for them to bill me whatever insurance doesn't pay (if it gets rejected) but the person wouldn't agree to this. I explained to them they have been sitting on MY money for almost a year now and I don't appreciate getting the run around. The billing person said the best she could do is "try to push it through again." I'm very confused as to how a business can legitimately carry that AP on their books without issuing a refund. That seems very unethical and possibly illegal. As a senior citizen, I feel especially discriminated against because all I want is MY MONEY that I overpaid from February of 2023. I will also be reporting them to CMS because someone needs to do something about their unethical business practices.
