I had a racist experience about a year ago and after not being followed up with on this I wanted to reach out again because my experience was that bad. The person I spoke with recently was extremely nasty and let me know that since time had passed he had no plans on addressing the staff that still works there on the issue. Racism is not okay and not matter if a few months pass or 5 years pass people should still be held accountable for their nasty service.Review from Sarah W

I originally went online looking to trade in my car and I was contacted by LA and he said he could assist me, I sent him all my information, he pulled my credit said it was good to go, went to go let them look at my car and they gave me 1st options, told him what I can afford upfront, but tried to have me pay more, he then said okay we are going to keep looking and give you a call, NEVER received a call back, so I called them again LA said we are working on it, it is 2 weeks later again he NEVER even called me back. Why pull my credit and why promise to call me back if you were not in the 1st place... I guess if no commission can be made, they will just forget about you and never call as stated. They make you think they can help you instead of being honest with you and just assume you will never follow back up with them.Review from Mallorie H

I bought a brand new Cadillac *** at the Jake Sweeney Lebanon back in 2020. Had a pleasant experience. Fast forward to April 16,2024. I needed to upgrade my vehicle to a bigger car for family purposes. Using Jake Sweeney Chevrolet was the biggest mistake. Dave S****** was my sales guy. I spent hours looking at different vehicles and dealing with the paperwork. Flash warning, ********** does not honor their manufacturers warranty if the car travels from Canada to the States. Well, I did not know that when I bought the car. I was told that the vehicle was still under manufacture warranty until 50,000 miles (I was told by Dave). I traded my car in for this ********** that had some scratches (told it was going to be fixed) a missing power window button (told the part would be ordered, never ordered) and cleaned (it was never cleaned) when I traded my car in 3 days later after all of that was supposed to be fixed. Also, I was told an oil change would be done before I took the car (it wasn’t). 1 week after having the car, oil light comes on. I have to come back to get it done after I was told it was already done and then told that I needed a brake line flush (that was suppose to be done as well). 2 weeks after having the car, check engine light. Make an appointment 4 days out until the next available opening. Then 2.5 weeks of owning vehicle, car loses power while driving with my 15 month old son in the back and almost get rear-ended. I regained power and drove home. Take my car into JS for the appointment and then told since it’s under manufacture warranty, they can’t do anything about it and needs to go to VW to be fixed. I call **, they can’t honor because it came from Canada. FINALLY, after Tony L***** (sales manager) finds out.. he gave an option to trade in my car (an eat the loss) or get my car fixed at no cost. I wanted to trade my car at this time. I find a car that is “okay” and this time James (sales manager) tells me that is not an option d/t too much neg equiReview from Trena S

If I could leave no stars or negative stars i would, because my experience with this company has completely horrible. I recently went up there to buy my first car, Im building my credit so unfortunately i didnt want to get a new pre-owned car because my payments would be at least $500-600 a month and i can not afford that. Lets not forgot i have a relative that works there so i would think i would be in good hands. (NEVER THINK THAT) so i had gotten a 2014 ******* ***** Fe and loved eveything about it, i have two kids so it was perfect for us & after having it for only 20 days probably less than that, i had to turn it back in because the catalytic converter on the car start messing with the battery & sounded weird when i pushed start. So they ended giving me a whole new car, i was pretty upset because i was so use to the other car & the new car the given me was smaller, no sunroof, no all wheel drive, no push start so the adjustment was hard but eventually i gotten use to get. & now after having the car for only 28 days the engine blew up while me and my kids were in the expressway so i got the car towed up to Jake Sweeney on April 16th & i havent had it since. They couldnt even give me a loaner car cause Mike A**** the manager from service department said they didnt have any (which i know is a lie) he is rude, no professionalism, customer service skills are terrible and when i spoke to him today he hurried up & transferred me to someone else which they didnt answer. Ive been so patient & polite to them when i shouldve took it more seriously & been more hard on them because me & kids couldve gotten hurt & i should be taken care of. I do NOT recommend getting a car from them at allReview from Tina H

I wish I could give snake sweeney a negative 0. Ishmael decided that I needed sealant and interior warranty plus a 3,500 dollar warranty. All I wanted was gap insurance he marked it as if I declined gap insurance. I called the loan finance company they said I had gap insurance and shouldn't be charged for it. Vincent from snake sweeney told me and my sister I had to go through my insurance to get it. My insurance said i was supposed to get it at the dealership. My signature is clearly forged on a few papers I didn't even see. I asked them to cancel the warranties I didn't want they claimed they can't. Ishmael told me every one is charged for the sealant and interior warranty. I don't ***** about sealant and interior so I shouldn't have to pay for sealant they choose to put on the cars. I was cool when the 10,000 dollar loan plus the taxes and paperwork fees. Ishmael said they are requiring me to pur down 4,000 I did the car was 14,500. Well it ended up being a 19,000 dollar loan minus 4,000. I'm just gathering all my information before I seek legal advice/action that's dealership fraud. I wouldn't recommend my enemies to do business with snake Sweeney. The kemper location is the one I'm complaining about.Review from Callie M

As we are getting ready to leave the house (4:15), the same gentlemen (David S******) calls and asks if we are on our way. We stated we would be there about 5, as it was almost an hour drive for us. Upon arrival, the guy comes up to us and states “Let’s get this done and over with”, at this point I look at my husband in complete shock, that he said that. I mentioned that we were planning on trading in my car, he then proceeds to roll his eyes. Again, I was just speechless. He asks that we pull our car around and meet him on the other side of the building, which we do. When we get out, he takes my car key, gets in my car to get the information, then meets us inside. When we got to his desk, he said “This is not going to be a good outcome”. At this point, I was ready to leave, but my husband wanted to look at numbers as he knows I needed a new car. He starts asking questions about the amount I owe, if we can put any money down, then stated maybe we should try to look at a different car. We then tell him no, that we drove an hour to see about this suburban. He starts plugging things in and trying to, I guess do his job, but then realizes he lost the keys to my car. I just laughed as I could not believe this was happening. Once my keys were found and they were able to take it back to get an offer, the guy says “I hope you guys planned on putting quite a bit of money down.” I said “Well we can put some money down, but we would like to see what we can figure out” He then states, which this was what did me in, “Honestly it’s the end of the day and I am ready to get out of here, so maybe this just is not the right vehicle for you” I could not believe what was actually happening. When the guy was out looking at my car, he was using an umbrella. When my husband walked to the drivers side he looked at the roof of my car and there is a large scratch and other scuffs from the umbrella! We have called, they asked us to send over the pictures, so we did and have yet heard back.Review from Katrina H

Having the absolutely horrible experience with the service team. Mike was absolutely ignorant over the phone with me. Who in the speaks to customers saying "Hey lady, what do you want." After I ask the status on the Camaro and identify myself. He didn't even realize I was the owner of the car. I originally requested a tune-up and a diagnostic test to see what was wrong with my camaro. They authorized repairs themselves without speaking to me, stating that they called my father because he dropped it off for me. On serveal different occasions I called and gave my contact information on the 9th and 12th. Not once was I called, they took an old number from a previous service from 3 years ago and listed as my current number. Mike is supposed to be an advisor but has no communication skills. He called me everything but my name. And when I got upset and addressed it, that my name is Ms. ***** he hung up on me. The supervisor Mr. C******* didn't take nothing I said seriously. This is a nightmare, I cant trust them while away working to provide any type of decent customer service. How is it legal to work. They didn't even do the service I requested. All I'm getting is excuses why they did what they did instead of an apology. They took my father's information, instead of requesting my information. All Mr. C******* or Mike had to do was apologize, and state they made a mistake. And instead of resolving or requesting my information all I'm getting is excuses and arguments. This is a true nightmare. Im only in Cincinnati so many days. Why should I be responsible to pay for something I never even spoke to them about and get hung up on. I have every right to upset, Mike O**** wasn't even smart enough to get my information. When requested the appointment I submitted all the correct information and called several times explaining the situation. Why should I be obligated to pay for Mike's mistake.Review from Jeanette S

Buyer beware!!!! We purchased a used car for my daughter. Unfortunately, we are out of state so we needed it to be delivered. For a "small" fee of $800 they would deliver it, but of course it ended up being almost $850 since instead of a separate line item it was added to the cost of the car, which you guessed it gets taxes taken out. When we were looking at the vehicle, I made it abundantly clear that we did not want a smoked in vehicle since I am highly allergic to the smell of cigarette smoke. We were assured that it did not have a smell and a video of the vehicle was taken. The delivery driver drove the vehicle from Cincinnati all the way to Virginia by the car itself. Adding miles instead of actually putting it on a flatbed truck like every other delivery service I've ever dealt with before. I never got in my daughter's vehicle until about 5/6.days later when I smelt the cigarette smoke. She stated that she smelt something, but didn't know what it was. I even saw all the cigarette ashes on the center console where we assume someone put their hand while holding the cigarette. Contacted them and the text was a too bad so sad message because the delivery driver just doesn't smoke, and well since it's been soooo long since they delivered the vehicle then it was another story. The veiled accusation that it was us was totally uncalled for since I told her that we couldn't have a smoked in car at least 10 times. Oh and then she added the stop messages button just in case I wanted to pound sand. This was never in any of the messages from earlier, and it took weeks to get this deal completed. So stay away unless you absolutely need to get a vehicle desperately and don't mind the unprofessionalism.Review from Steve H

We bought a 2016 ***** from them 5 years later the transmission went out they gave us a lifetime power train warranty that they did not honor. We had to pay over $8000 for a rebuilt transmission. It started leaking transmission fluid right away because they didnt replace the seals. Took it back and they say its not their fault! That its going to cost another $900 to fix it!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!! THEY DONT HONOR ANYTHING AND DO CRAPPY WORK!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT!!Review from Clifford W

have bought 3 trucks from Jake Sweeney. The first truck I had no issues so I went back to do a trade in picked a 2021 *** the first week of having it I had to put it in the shop do to motor issues and they had it 4 days I picked it up and 2 weeks later the motor was going out in the truck so I had to put it back in the shop and argue to get a rental and after Jake Sweeney having the truck a month and me still paying for it I was told that they didn’t know how long it would take to get it back to me so they agreed to do a collateral swap so I went picked out another truck which turned out to be a nightmare do to Jake Sweeney failed to pay off the truck that had motor issues so it was reported to my credit report that I had not paid for the truck that they swapped out and after calling and arguing with them they finally paid it off but my credit score was still dropped and all I was told was sorry for the inconvenience. Now I have had this truck going on 6 months and I am having front end problems so I took it up there they said they here the popping but would have to keep the truck and didn’t know how many days it would take to get it back to me and told me they didn’t have a rental vehicle available for me. I explained that in 7 months I have had 2 trucks with mechanic issues I bought from them and I have to have a vehicle so I can make it back and forth to work and that I paid 58000 for the truck I’m driving but they tell me sorry that they don’t know what to tell me. I’ve tried several times to contact service managers and also the president of Jake Sweeney Fred m******* and never receive any call back. I have ** warranty and every other warranty possible for my vehicle but that doesn’t matter to them. It’s a horrible experience and I’ll never return there to purchase another vehicle nor would I refer them to anyone.
