I’ve had more negative experiences with Apollo Home than positive ones, so I’m writing this review to share my experience. I’m not seeking compensation or a response; I just want others to know what I’ve experienced. I’ve read other reviews and realized there might be an issue with employee training, standard operating procedures, or company culture. Regardless, I’ll only mention a few of my grievances that hold the most weight. 1) Apollo Care Plan (ACP), false advertising, and scheduling. Their online scheduling system is inadequate compared to other vendors. As a service organization, it’s shameful to offer potential availability only to inform customers there’s none after half of the following day has passed, and then continue this practice for multiple days. Further, their website advertises, "First In Line Priority Service." Not once did I ever experience this as an ACP member. 2) Saving my credit card information without my consent. I’ve always paid annually for the ACP because I prefer not to be charged without authorization. As a working-class member, I find it unacceptable that your technician made a decision for me without communication, leaving me vulnerable to financial exploitation. I managed, however, to reach a single representative who was polite and promptly canceled the unauthorized subscription. This experience led me to discontinue my ACP membership. 3) Constant phone calls (and scheduling, again!). I've lost count of how many times I've asked your representatives to halt their incessant calls to schedule "maintenance." This put a second nail in the coffin for me regarding my ACP membership. I will not sign up again because they will constantly call to schedule "maintenance service," but when you call them with an emergency, you're nothing but a bother. They reflect that attitude by fitting you in where they can, which is almost always a few days out. What's the point of being an ACP member if you aren't there for us when we need you?Apollo Home Response

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We truly value hearing from our customers, as it helps us improve our services. We are sorry to hear about your negative experiences with us and we understand your frustration. We take all concerns seriously, and we regret that you have felt misled and unsupported during your interactions with us. Regarding the issues you mentioned: 1. Apollo Care Plan (ACP) and Scheduling: We apologize for the difficulties you encountered with our scheduling system and for not providing the level of priority service that you were promised. We understand how important it is to have timely service, especially for ACP members. We are currently reviewing our scheduling process to make improvements and ensure that availability is clearly communicated to our customers. 2. Unauthorized Credit Card Information: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Your trust is extremely important to us, and we are sorry for the error in saving your credit card information without your consent. We’re glad to hear that our representative resolved the situation promptly, and we are actively reinforcing our policies and employee training to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. 3. Constant Phone Calls and Scheduling: We completely understand how frustrating repeated calls for maintenance scheduling can be. We are reviewing our communication practices to ensure that customers receive reminders and updates in a manner that is respectful of their preferences. Once again, we apologize for the experience you’ve had, and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We are committed to making improvements and hope that you might consider giving us another chance in the future. We do want to offer you a year of the ACP at no cost to you as an apology and hoping we can use this 2nd chance to make your experience better. We will tag your account to not be called for maintenance and can await your calls for that. Please let us know if you are okay with this as we’d love to start this for you as soon as today. Thank you for your time and feedback.Customer Response

I appreciate the time you have taken to respond and address my concerns by identifying internal action items for your organization. However, at this time, I do not see any value in reactivating any membership with Apollo Home because items 1 and 3 are not isolated incidents. We may call for service in the future after a significant amount of time has passed to allow your operation to churn through changes and evolve, thereby further ensuring were less likely to have a negative experience. Having worked in leadership for a service-based organization, I understand that change can happen, and it can happen quickly, but it almost never happens overnight. I extend my best wishes for your continued success in your endeavors.Review from T. J.

Apollo's new policy of not giving you an arrival windows is ludicrous. They give you an appointment date but will call that day to tell you when they will be there. So, basically you have to be available the whole day waiting on them. We spent over 50k in 15 years and was Gold members. No more. And new management does not care. They should be put out of business for the lack of customer service and support. And the new owner, obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed. We have contacted "Don't waste your money" and they are already on this matter.Apollo Home Response

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We understand that not having set time windows may have been an unexpected aspect of our service for you, and we regret any inconvenience it may have caused. Many of our customers have found that this approach grants them the freedom to carry on with their day without waiting at home, knowing that well call 30 to 45 minutes before arriving. This flexibility has brought a new rhythm to their routines, allowing them to stay productive while ensuring they can meet us when needed.
If a more specific time window is important to you, were happy to offer the first appointment of the day when available, giving you more control over your schedule. We apologize if this wasn't clearly communicated to you earlier and appreciate your understanding.Customer Response

I hired Apollo to look at a leak coming from my furnace. It still worked ok, but i got nervous when I saw the water on the floor. Leon was the technician. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. He was able to fix the leak, and added a new piece to the condensate drain (i think that's what he called it) that will make it easier to clean in the future. All in all a great experience with Apollo.Review from Gayle W

Don't fall for Apollo's SAVINGS with their mailed coupons. A $38 air conditioning tune-up turned into unauthorized work and feeling like a senior citizen who was a victim of predatory practices.Management provided no resolution.I will never use ApolloHome or recommend them to anyone.**************Review from Carolina L

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with at the sales representative Dylan H***** at Apollo Home. We had an appointment with him on Thursday 12, to get an estimate for a HVAC system in my condo. The issue I am facing is that the sales rep was not truthful, and I was misled that the product they were in installing was a ****** when it actually was something else made by Apollo Home. He stated more than one time that the deal and installed ****** product and they offer a longer warranty for parts and labor. His estimate was over $12k and way overprice compared to ******* or ******* He tried to persuade me about the superior product they were installing. (******) the extended warranty they were offering. He says let me talk to my manager see what I he can do. He gets on the phone with his supervisor he comes down to $9500 but I need to make a decision right then and to be installed next day. After considering the offer with a ****** I said I will do it for 9k. We agreed. The crew came and installed the product next day. When I went outside to check the AC unit, it doesn’t have a brand. Also check the Furnace and it says Apollo home. No signs of ******... I called Dylan and confronted him that the product is not a ****** he said it is manufactured by ****** but it’s an ARIES a brand from Apollo home. That Information was never provided prior installation. I talked to his supervisor and explained this problem again and still trying to convince me still that I got a ****** but it’s an ARIES and it’s the same quality... etc and if I was looking for more of a discount, he was not going to do that. I am writing this review for other people to be aware. I felt cheated and lied on and accused of misunderstanding. They were not truthful, and I felt taken advantage of and when I express my complaint was totally dismissed.
I am following up on how bad I been treated as a customer by Apollo Home. I am extremely dissatisfied with the attempts of texts calls and email harassment and continued threats of putting a lien on my property infatuating how bad it will look on my credit, when I had already paid and funded the job on July 18th. The comfort advisor Dylan Helton started his texts on july 23rd until today's date. He is uniformed and unprofessional and didn't check the books of his company before making accusations. When contacting the company, I could not get a straight answer from a manager. They pressure sell you with timelines and used bait and switch tactics on his speech. I would not recommend them, and I wish I didn't fall for this scam and dishonest people and company. The product they install was not what Dylon H***** verbally agreed on.

I have used Apollo a few times prior. THIS call was to fix my rental house AC which had stopped working in the heat of July. I got speedy [within 24 hrs] service and tech showed on time. He said he diagnosed my problem which was 'my old AC unit needed replacing for $6000-9000' or he COULD 'replace coolant because there's an obvious leak which would cost $3000.' My response and prequel were that this AC has worked perfectly for 22 years. I didn't have ANY of those thousands of $s to replace or repair and that I would 'find a friend referred repair.' A friend referred a 1-man operation who also came in 1-day and not quite on time but neither was I. He replaced coolant and cleaned the exterior unit and charged me less than ****** to actually FIX my problem vs [IMO] scare me into buying a new AC system. I wish ****** had sent me an actual repairman vs an advance-man who tries to sell new expensive units I [hopefully] didn't need. Apollo have lost me as a client and I'm sad I wasted $ on a service call that gave me no service. Again, ****** were courteous, on-time, friendly and seemingly knowledgeable, BUT I spent $89 for a guy to possibly attempt to sell me THOUSANDS of $s of goods which were actually $200 from an actual AC repairman. I'll gladly amend this IF my system indeed fails or leaks coolant again. BTW, I wanted to leave a ZERO star review.Apollo Home Response

After some work by Apollo, I told the plumber that I thought it was a dishonest company. The young man then said that Apollo wanted to keep us as a customer, so he was authorized to give us their Service Plan FREE for a year--and I fell for it. But, it was a lie--Apollo is charging us monthly for the "free" plan. We called to complain, and the lady on the phone said she would reimburse the first month and cancel the billing for the future months. We have crossed Apollo off our phone list, with the notation "Dishonest--DO NOT USE."Apollo Home Response

Today, we had to call a plumber to get our leaking faucet fixed. Simply it needed a new cartridge that value at $50 ~$60 at local hardware shop. We called Apollo and requested a plumber. They charge $89 just to visit. Apollo guy came to house and check the faucet and it will cost $800+ to put new cartridge. No one in right mind would pay $800+ for this job. He charged $89 fee and went back within 10 minutes. I guess this how they make profit.Apollo Home Response
