Daphne M of Lure Entertainment charged myself and my son ****** Pope almost $1,000 for headshots and 12 acting classes. The head shots are awful and he only did four of the the twelve acting classes. The acting classes were amateur at best and poorly ran. After the after pay was finally paid in full she dropped ****** and stopped including him into the acting classes therefore making him lose out on eight classes of what we paid for. The head shots were no better than elementary school pictures and unable to be used in any professional submission. Her reason for dropping him was because she started asking for more money and wanted an office fee for promoting purposes even though she failed to promote him or many of her clients

The classes were offered to ****** **** because he has NO training what so ever and I have a No refund policy for any services done by my business. I explained this to ********* and she was fine. She was also happy with the pictures and shared them everywhere Publically. As for ****** he was asked after I took him off my roster if he was going to continue with the classes and his response was NO. As for the reason I dropped him I had told him numerous times what he needed to do and he did not comply with anything I was saying to help him. Out of 6 classes he did one assignment and it was a week late. I give assignments weekly. I did not drop him because of money. He had a sarcastic comment about him not needing to be promoted so I explained to him that he did not need a manager if he could do it on his own. She is upset that i removed him from the role he was in on MY MOVIE. I will not put inexperienced actors in my movie. He didn't act like he wanted to be in this industry at all. He is young and from my opinion as a parent I believe it was being forced by his mother.I promoted him everywhere and even had him lined up for 2 more movies but once again Nobody in this industry will deal with inexperience. I am not debating this with this woman because she is mad about him losing the role. This industry is for the Thick skinned people and at this point I believe this is a witch hunt and slander at this point. i will not be giving any refund for services done when this issue is not why she is upset. Once again I have a No refund policy. It was also in a legal contract that they were to pay a monthly 20% of all grossed income in the contract which I did not want to take so i called a meeting with all my clients and they were all asked to pay a $50 fee a month because I didn't want to have to take their income which I can do because I have a legal contract. Everyone was fine with it.

I have several more items to send to show she misrepresents herself but it will only let me send so many. The contract and the heads shots and the acting classes are separate exactly as I stated. The classes and headshots are lumped together in one invoice. She did not provide any representation or promoting if ****** except for two post. There were no other movies lined up by her from him. She is trying to deflect the issue at hand by rambling I’m about we forced ****** into this which isn’t true. I have documentation of conversations between her and i about her needing to contact ****** to discuss schedules and assignments and not me. The main issue here and the reason for my BBB complaint is she failed to provide services that were paid on full for. We paid for acting classes of 12 she rendered four. We paid for headshots from her that we’re supposed to be professional but ending up being photos that we could not use for job submissions because they were not professional. Her movie doesn’t exist case in point she is now asking for money for it from a crowd funding site for donations. It has zero networks or studios interested in it. I have documentation showing how inappropriate her professional page is.she did try to solicit more money from ****** as an “office” fee for promotions of which she never provided. She is claiming she offered to do that instead of taking 20% of his gross income except he had no income coming in from her bookings, she didn’t get him any work so there for you can’t take 20% of zero so she asked for $50 a month. That’s where we as a family drew the line and says nope no more money. When he told her no more money her response was consider yourself off the roster which this exchange between the two went down just days after the final payment toward the acting classes went through which came from my checking account. We are glad she no longer represents ****** he now has a great acting coach and representation to be released in March. Thus claim is solely about services she failed to provide that we paid for. Once she dismissed ****** she never once offered the remainder acting classes. We paid for 12 he did for. We also paid for headshots that were unusable. At first she had us fooled until we tried to use them for work submission. If you need, I can send everything I have in an email. We are also filing a complaint with the actors guild.
