I worked with Pickens Windows years ago when I worked in Maintenance. My husband & I have a 2 Family ( which we live in the upper apt, with the original wood windows & a sash needed to be replaced. Called Pickens & Junior came and was extremely knowledgeable and repaired the window. We were turning the 1st floor unit for rental and a few windows were in need repair. Junior checked all out and ordered parts. Because of the age of the replacement windows on 1st floor, it took a little bit to get the parts, but finally came in and Junior returned and repaired. Very satisfied with Pickens and Junior, and will definitely recommend.

This review is regarding the service we received from Junior. He was on time, professional, and explained everything. We needed a new handle and its mechanism replaced. The windows were custom made prior to us moving in 20 years ago so he explained it would take a few weeks to get the parts.When we initially called *** explained the charges to come out to the house. We were aware there would not be a free estimate. We were also told we would receive a phone call in the morning to give us a time frame for the technician that day and if we didnt answer the call the technician wouldnt come. When the parts arrived *** called to let us know the exact price we would owe prior to installation. In other words we had no surprises.The best part was Junior and the quality of his work.

We purchased a house in early Oct 2021. We regretfully agreed to have two large windows repaired by Pickens vs insisting the seller replace. The two windows are high quality stained wood. Pickens estimated the repairs before the sale of the house at $800 so the seller gave them $1500 to cover all cost and anything left over would be returned to the seller. Well they finally got around to picking up the 1st windows in February. In that time they said that one of the windows was much worse than it was just in Oct and they went ahead a refunded the seller the extra money before completing the work. We had to pay just under another $700 to get our second windows back in June after my husband picked it up and installed ourselves. In this time my husband made about 20 phone calls to discuss this with incompetent people. When he finally talked with the owner, he apparently knew nothing about all of this happening. All of this, and on top of it the widows that they returned to us are nothing more than terrible sloppy work and the frame is now primed. They took windows that are stained wood never been painted and they return it primed. So we now have a partially primed set of windows that we have to paint. This will be reported to better business bureau. I would only recommend that people run from this business. They dont deserve to get anyones business given the horrible work ethic, terrible repair service and terrible customer **********************.
