Took car with check engine light for an estimate. Was told $2k and we went ahead with the repair. Check engine light came back on a day later. Was told another $2k for timing chain issue. Again went through reluctantly with repair. Shortly there after the light came back on for a timing issue. Just did $4k worth of work to fix the timing issues. Took it back in and was told it needed an engine which would cost $6k. That was not an option. Decided to take to a dealer and was told engine was out of time and a tensioner and phaser needed to be replaced and they we confident that’s all the issue was. The fact that this stuff wasn’t replaced or considered and their simple answer was spend $6k more for an engine is insane. Car runs fine since we had the issue taken care of at the dealership. Zero stars should be an option. They stole money from me and didn’t even fix my problem. Would never recommend this business to anyone.Conrad's Tire Express & Total Car Care Response

Is There a thing of negative stars? Purposely tightened the lug nuts about to the breaking point it took my boyfriend, a 4 foot bar to crack the lug nuts because we got a oil change and a tire rotation and they said we needed struts and we needed this and that and we don’t and the only reason my boyfriend knows this because they told us we had to adjust our back brakes so he was gonna adjust them Thank you Kathy Marken.Conrad's Tire Express & Total Car Care Response

I'm not happy with their service. I'm a longtime customer, who is treated like I'm brand new. They changed their policy towards multiple discounts, which I've bee getting consistently, Also, they weren't able to fix my car right, but still charged me.Conrad's Tire Express & Total Car Care Response

I took my wife’s ***** into the service Center last week to have her tires rotated which I do every 6k miles and was told that it was time for a new set of tires. When I asked how many miles were on the odometer since the tires were installed I was told just shy of 30k miles. When I mentioned that the ******* tires carried a 80k warranty I was told that was incorrect and that there was NO MILEAGE warantee. I went home and researched the tires on the internet and confirmed that the tires did indeed carry a 80k warrantee as indicated on the Conrad’s invoice so I called and spoke to Conrad’s about the discrepancy and was told the tires I had on the ***** were not specifically designated as EV tires so the warantee was void. I did not specifically ask for the tires on my car that is what Conrad’s put on the car 30k miles previously. I was told they would look into it. On November 4, 2024 Conrad’s put a new set of ******* tires on the ***** especially made for an EV and gave roughly a 33% discount. I believe that if a tire is waranteed for 80k and it only lasts 30k a discount of at LEAST 50% of the tires should be applied. I’m not happy with Conrad’s lying to me about the warantee and I’m not happy with a 33% discount. I won’t be returning to Conrad’s in the future and I recommend that you shop for tires elsewhere as well.Conrad's Tire Express & Total Car Care Response

If you live in the Akron Cleveland Ohio area Conrad's is a reliable and reasonable place to have your tires and other minor car work done. I have been using them for the past 5 years. I regularly use the Alliance, oh and Hudson, oh stores. I have used the Jackson, oh store which is more busy than the other stores. You can make an appointment on line. When you arrive at the facility they will have your pre made appointment in the computer. I will say they don't always review the appointments in advance so there may be some back and forth dialogue between you and the front desk staff in order to determine what will be done with your car that day. This may happen even if you already explained the details in the appointment comments. I don't know their business model from an insider perspective but I assume that the front desk workers are incentivised to promote the best product and service that your car could use. So, they may suggest a higher cost tire than you were prepared to pay for but they will not pushback if you decide on a cheaper option. The same with service, I have been there when they offered me a wheel alignment even though I was not asking for my alignment to be checked. At that time I refused the alignment and they did not push back. Today I bought tires and an oil change and checked the alignment. I did not need an alignment (different car from that one that needed the alignment) so they don't push services that are not needed.Review from Mac A

This review is for the Solon, OH location: Terrible. I went there regularly for a few years and noticed a pattern of doing more work than necessary and misdiagnosing in favor of more expensive repairs with the resulting returns for further repairs. Going to the dealer after an estimate from them started costing me from a fifth to half their price. Still recently I bought tires for my two cars, since regardless of their incompetence as mechanics, the were once courteous and attentive. When I got a flat I returned there for the road hazard warranty. Nice no more. I found Ron, an interim store manager, was treating customers like dirt, the attendants were gossipping very loudly about customers demanding faster service and not wanting to wait and a wholly hostile attitude in that shift. Then I had to return, because of course they didn't remove the nails. I really don't know what they did. Ron acted again like a bully interrupting the only decent guy there, Dan, who after Ron told me I had to leave the car all day, proposed that I leave the tire so I could go back to work. I will be looking for Dan in the future, but for now Conrad's lost even my business even the tires. The aggravation is just not worth it.Conrad's Tire Express & Total Car Care Response

This review is for the Conrad's at 450 W. Bagley Rd, Berea, OH 44017-1352. They were very nice people (met 4 of them)! Within minutes they started feeling more like family than complete strangers! My wife and I were from about 2.5 hours away and on the two different days we needed them, they were able to get us in and diagnosed the car issues quickly. First, I would like to say I do not often post reviews, but Conrad's is an amazing company. While traveling home from a volleyball tournament, my check engine and tire indicator lights came on simultaneously; honestly, since it was just me and my thirteen-year-old daughter, I was scared. I pulled into Conrad's, and the workers were closing the building. I ran to the front, and no person was there, but then a man pulled around and asked if he could help; Conrad's turned on the lights, pulled my car in, repaired my tire, and saved us. I can't ever be thankful enough to Conrads for going above and beyond. I know you have families, and opening back up for me and my daughter (was tough), but considering we were about 80 miles from home, this was probably one of the most amazing things I have ever been around or seen any company do. Thank you Conrad's I cannot express enough gratitude. I will let everyone know of your generosity and caring company. Thank you for being a company of excellence. My appreciation goes beyond words. I wish I could leave zero stars. Misleading business practices and will charge you even if the issue is not fixed. I don't suggest anyone take their car to Conrads tires in solon Ohio. I took my car yesterday to get an oil change when I dropped it off my car was fine when I got it back the check engine light was on and they are saying a knock sensor isn't working. They did something to my car cause nothing was wrong with my car when I took it there and dropped it off and the check engine light wasn't on when took the car to them and dropped it off but now it is on. Never going there again. Someone should look into why people that take there car to Conrad tires are getting there cars back with something new broke that wasn't broke when they dropped off there car to be fixed. I've had friends tell me they had this and thing happen to there car too when they took it to conrad tires.
