I see the notes in the ***** our district manager in the area about the delivery of your order followed up on September 5th 2024 for a total refund that was placed back to the card that was utilized on the initial order.     Awful experience. I recommend going with any mulch company other than Ohio Mulch. I ordered 6 yards of mulch. They delivered 6 yards of top soil. They immediately admitted their mistake and said they would correct the mistake in 2 days. They then continued to provide ‘make up’ dates and excuses on why they could not correct their mistake. This continued over 4 weeks and u had to make 15 calls to discuss with the manager. I had 6 yards of top soil in my driveway for 4 weeks. It looked terrible, my neighbors complained, and my kids could not play basketball. Customer service was terrible. I will never order from Ohio Mulch again and strongly recommend no one else order from them.

    Mr. Lymangrover , I just left a message to apologize for the frustration and inconvenience for the mistake in product delivered, coupled with the time it took us to rectify the issue. We have work very hard in the past 40 years to assure these types of delays do not happen. I would like to send you a gift card that does not expire or dissipate in value that you can use in an effort to reestablish your confidence in us.     Frustrated with their delivery "policy". "note - we will make every effort to fulfill the delivery date and time..." This is false. They will offer to "schedule" a day but never a time of day. Furthermore, communication was poor. I scheduled delivery for 13APR. I received an email on 12APR that everything was on schedule. After 6pm on 13APR, I received another email that delivery would be 15APR (never a day I agreed to). When I called in I was told they would do their best and eventually I was told it would be before noon. When I asked about some sort of partial refund, I was told I was already getting "good discounts". I was also told there were "terms and conditions" about delivery I agreed to when I purchased the mulch. I reviewed them and the policy is ridiculous. Basically, consider the requested delivery date as a "hope" and just accept Ohio Mulch's policy is they will delivery it when they delivery it and be grateful you ever get it while charging $129 for scheduled delivery.

    Mr. Weber, we truly are sorry for the frustrations that stemmed from your delivery process and value not only your business but your patience. Ohio Mulch Supply has worked diligently on delivery processing for over 40 years in an effort to streamline the delivery and alleviate frustration to our valued customers. The trucks that are used to deliver all of our bulk products such as yours are new type trucks but the mechanical lifting mechanisms used to tip out the product are at times unpredictable and create delays this is why we do not predict times of delivery. We have 20 dump trucks alone delivering product throughout the Columbus area in an effort to assure on time deliveries.

    Terrible service. Yes they're cheap, but there's a reason for it. First they lied about the free delivery since you had to get at least 16 yards to get "free" delivery, but their trucks only hold 10 yards and only the first truck is free ... Next, the website allowed me to schedule Saturday delivery, but after buying it, I get a phone call the next day telling me they don't do Saturdays and I have to reschedule. So I rescheduled for Friday at or after noon. Two weeks ago by, I had plans for the day laid out, I get a call at 8am saying they're coming now. When I told them I can't even get my people to the site until at least 11 they didn't care, they had to change delivery because of "weather". So now I have to reschedule my help and we can't do it for ANOTHER week Trying to call anyone on the phone has also been a hassle, they badly need some customer service training. Honestly, I would avoid this compyin the future. The small amount of savings is not worth the large amount of hassles they give.

We had advertised a wonderful savings on our growers blend soil and the demand was extremely high. I see that the delivery fee was free according to the amount billed on your order. Secondly, I see the store had reached out and rescheduled the delivery do to the weather. I truly am sorry for your frustration, we work very hard to assure are customers are satisfied and we take each concern seriously. Once again thank you for your business.

    I went to purchase a cubic yard of topsoil at the *** ** ****** ********* **. location on Saturday 9/16/2023. The employee was using a bobcat with the 68" heavy duty bucket (#7272679). The bucket has a heaped capacity of 16.9 cubic feet (it says so right on the bucket). I was told I would only get one scoop by the employee and that is what they are instructed to sell as a cubic yard. Well it takes 27 cubic feet to equal a cubic yard. I explained to the employee that it was the equivalent of .625 cubic yards not a whole cubic yard. He told me he would call his manager. After calling his manager, he told me that he stood corrected and was to only give me one bucket of topsoil. He let me call the manager by providing his phone number, so I did. The manager was a man named Ron and he was extremely defensive and became belligerent with me on the phone as soon as I said that I did not agree that one full scoop of topsoil from the 68" bobcat bucket equaled 1 cubic yard. He went on a rant how he has been in the business for over 30 years and that he knows exactly how many cubic feet equal a cubic yard. He told me not to buy from Ohio Mulch and go somewhere else if I don't like it. When I asked who his supervisor was, he refused to give me a name and said "you do not want to know who my supervisor is." He refused to allow me to explain why I disagreed with him and continued to shout on the phone how I do not know what I am talking about and how he knows what he is talking about, etc. Extremely unprofessional. I told him I would contact corporate to file a complaint and hung up the phone. I will be contacting Mr. Jim Weber to let him know how unprofessional his arrogant supervisor Ron is and how unfortunate it is to have his company short customers on product they are told they are paying for. I hope more people educate themselves and realize Ohio Mulch is ripping off their customers when they request a bulk item.

    Mr. Ganoom, I am sorry for your interpretation of our conversation pertaining to the volume and sales of product equivalent to a cubic yard. I first stated the the weights and measures not only depicts that the volume of any product sold must be provided at or over the advertised volume. We sell Mulch and soils by the cubic yard and have been doing so for almost 40 years, we have prided ourselves on delivering a quality product at our established volumes. This is why we purchase the same equipment and the same bucket size for every location so as to assures that the consistency of product delivered is correct.. When I spoke to you on the phone you were very aggressive in your approach and stated we were taking advantage of people. I tried to ask you what are your calculations and you immediately stated I should receive 30 cubic feet which is a yard , I stated that it was 27 cubic feet and we have a quality assurance person that goes from store to store testing our staff on the consistency of there loads to our valued customer. If the employee misses the box test he is given a final chance to perform a correct load if he fails he is unable to load our customers for any bulk materials. Ohio Mulch prides ourselves on providing a quality experience at each of our retail store locations . As we closed our conversation you were still aggressive with our intentions so I stated if you do not feel comfortable I would recommend you not purchase your bulk product from us because we would not want any customer going away having a negative experience.

    Ordered 7 cu yards of topsoil on 4/9. Order 731949 was delivered the 25th. Began spreading the topsoil and it contained a bunch of nails, scrap metal, and trash throughout the whole pile. I contacted the store and they said they couldn’t do anything about it and to contact corporate. I called corporate about it and they still haven’t got back to me and it’s been 4 months. Says online I can return it and nobody ever let me make any returns or refunds. This whole experience has been a pain and I can’t use this topsoil as it’s a hazard with all the nails and barbed wire I keep finding all over my yard.

    Our order was only partially delivered after delays. We were promised the rest of our order would be delivered asap, it didn't happen. Then we were promised a refund, and that didn't happen either. Now we can't even get anyone from customer service to answer us. Stay away.

    Ohi Mulch delivered 5 pallets of Mulch on May 16, 2023. The driver lost control of the forklift and ended up in our woods, He than proceeded to drag the forklift with his truck across our yard leaving 2 ruts that were approximately 50 yards long. Ron Frost came to the house and assured us it would look like new when their team put down dirt, seed and straw or sod. I have watered that area for the last month with grass coming up in maybe 3 ft of the area. I left numerous messages for Ron Frost and he finally called me back on 6/16/23 only after I threatened to get in touch with the owner. He refuses to give me a credit for our mulch and is sending out another crew to examine the damaged area. For someone who is the voice and face of Oho Mulch in central Ohio, his response to this situation has been terrible. Tom S

    Mr. Schlater, I am truly sorry for your frustration and apologize for the delay. I had people on site even before the driver left and they seeded and applied soil and straw to the affected areas. I also contacted Tom who runs our landscape division to reach out to you and assure what the next step was to apply sod. I work hard to assure we resolve issues expeditiously and truly do not remember being asked to refund any products that were delivered. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assure your you are happy with our efforts to restore your grass areas to there original condition.

    Ohio Mulch is the master of the bait and switch. I ordered 5 cubic yards of top soil based on the picture and description of top soil on their website. When they delivered it to my house I noticed immediately that it looked nearly identical to the mulch that I had also ordered from them. It looked, felt, smelled and spread exactly like mulch. I have placed 5 calls to their office to get them to rectify the situation and the "manager" NEVER returned my call. The people who answer the phone are trained to say - "our top soil looks like mulch due to its premium makeup". I am 61 years old and have worked with mulch and top soil for over 50 years. Their top soil product is basically mulch and their customer service is completely missing. I will never do business with Ohio Mulch again and I strongly recommend that others avoid them if you are looking for high quality top soil.

    Mr. Liston,I understand you are familiar that our geographic region is concentrated with a clay based soil and needs to be amended for increased growth potential . We amend our soil with organic wood fiber and light sand as well as pulverized soil.

    Delivered my mulch ... A WEEK AFTER I CANCELLED THE ORDER, and 10 days after the expected delivery date AND Damaged our driveway on a delivery that should have happened. Ordered on a Saturday ,for Tuesday Delivery (for a project on the following weekend ... per there specific request on their website) Delivery did NOT Show up and they never communicated at all. I called 5 times without any realistic expectations. We went to the store to pick up order, after being frustrated, and they said our mulch wasn't in stock and that their delivery driver doesn't show up sometimes. We cancelled the order in the store and followed that up with an email to cancel as well, again without a response. A week later after cancelling, our cancelled order showed up in our driveway and they leaked transmission fluid all over the driveway and we had a graduation party the next day. After 2 phone calls to the store and a Unreturned voicemail from a sales director, I drove to the store to demand they pick up the order immediately (which they finally did) and come evaluate the damage to our driveway. Again, no response to the damages, so I sent a firm email that got to corporate and the next day the sales director called me to apologize and "take care" of the financial driveway burden. Without any discussion ... I was sent a pathetic $50 gift card to be redeemed at Ohio Mulch and i still have stains in our driveway that I will have to try to clean and powerwash myself now. (we Just had it sealed 3 weeks ago too). That gift card will expire and NEVER get used. OHIO MULCH ... Do the RIGHT thing and not the CHEAP thing!!!! In my personal experience, there system is broken and the didn't value me as a customer.
