This group called saying that they needed to verify my Google My Business account, that these accounts are free for 10 months but now my rankings are low and they need to re-activate it. They were very convincing in verifying my account, and sent a text code from the number Google uses for two-step verification. They said there was a one-time verification fee of 99USD, and I gave CC details over the phone. They then emailed a receipt and I saw it was from GHyperLocal, which raised the red flag. After the call I got another call asking about my satisfaction with the transaction.

On April 26th a lady called me and stated that she was from Google and I needed to pay $130.18 in order to have my page continue to show on Google, she took my credit card information and charged it. After I seen the charge was from "Go Marketin" and not Google, I contacted Google and they stated it has nothing to do with them. I tried to contact both numbers Go Marketin called me from but they are now not in service. I have also not received an email confirmation as I was told would be sent. I would like a refund and my card information taken off file as I do not want any further charges in the future.

Scam: Ohio Attorney General is on Notice:We were contacted by an agent called Anna D she gave me an ID of G2*** she said she works for Google and said that my Business google account was under review for being inactive saying I would have to pay a one time fee of $99.00 USD for the period from for 2021 to - 2025 and emailed me a confirmation saying that it was a monthly subscription. I was not in agreeable to having any monthly subscription as it was suppose to be a one time fee to put my ad as a Verified google business and giving me a more target search for my business and I was under the impression that it was an employee from Google. He sent some google verification codes on my phone and then took my credit card info and charged me $99.00 saying this is a monthly charge and a phone number he was texting me on also. He said I would receive another e-mail confirming that it was a one time charge and I still have not received this email and when I tried to contact the company by phone no answer.
