My car was repossessed without a formal notification which probably is 100% legal and fine. When I have tried to contact the bank I have to to talk to an individual that goes by “****”. I have tried to contact this person with no prevail. I understand I have not responded to every call or text sent to me, but for a company, a bank to allow this petty school yard antics is uncalled for. I have no idea where the vehicle is or what I can do, if anything, to get it back. Walked out to got to work and it was gone so I will be losing my job and most likely be homeless because somebody at a bank has that kind of power of someone else. Because I thought to get a car 7 years ago this is my fault. The average car loan length is 72 months, 5 years so how I’m paying well into year 7 without it being payed off is a bit suspicious. Of course no one wanted to explain this to me or even have the care to.

We take the action of repossession very seriously and only use it as a last resort, when all other means of contact have been attempted and exhausted. Ohio law does not require any prior notification to a borrower/member when repossession is taking place.

Contact was indeed attempted by our collection department several times over the past several weeks. We tried reaching out to him on March 2, March 10, March 28, April 3, and finally April 13. We were not successful in talking with the member on any of these dates. The last two messages warned that repossession could take place due to non-payment and to please make a payment by the deadline stated. No payment was received and no contact from the member was received prior to the action by our credit union. After we obtained the vehicle, the member called us. He wasn’t happy with the conversation and proceeded to hang up on our collections staff.

Prior to receiving this complaint, we sent a certified letter to him, with a right to cure, should he decide he wants to redeem possession of his vehicle.

We will gladly speak to him about any of the other issues stated in the complaint, as these cannot be discussed in this response. He would simply need to contact me for an appointment.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

the letter that was sent out was not even attempted to be delivered until 25 April 2023. All details can be noted from the attached picture of the document left by the USPS. car was repossessed before this notice. But I’m sure as it has been extremely clear it is my fault for not having better connections at the post office or whatever it is FF&C feels like I should have done.

The car was repossessed before official written notification, something just isn’t feeling right about the timeline.

please tell me how I can be a better individual because apparently I’m just appalling according to your branch  don’t need a bank to make me feel even more worthless and human garbage but I appreciate the pile on

    Sincerely,

    ****** *******
