March 14, 2024 : Outside access door propped open; access point grants free access throughout the rest of the facility. Pictures provided by email to Mr. *********/Ms. *****. Endangers safety/security of all kids. May 9, 2024 : Ms. ******** ******* tried to send home child with fever. She provided outdated information insisting facility needed doctors note to administer Tylenol per the instructions on the bottle. This was clarified in December 2023 between myself, Mr. *********, Ms. *****, Ms. ******, and an Urgent Care Doctor located in Tiffin Ohio. Bottle instructed dosage of Tylenol does not require a doctor note as it does not meet any descriptive criteria in Angies Angels form JFS 01217.Box2.1-5. Resulted in further unnecessary leave of employment, putting mine and my wifes jobs at risk. May 13, 2024 : I had previously verbally expressed concern of the quality/efficiency of diaper changes, youngest was consistently sent home with feces still present from older bowel movements and diapers were not correctly put on resulting in child urinating through their clothes. On this particular day youngest was sent home without a diaper on entirely. Shows consistent neglect of child in the care of Angies Angels. May 20, 2024 : Oldest child sent home with a scrape/bruise on the middle section of her back. Angies Angels did not provide an incident report or notify either parent by other means. May 21, 2024 : Incident report of above received after Angies Angels was questioned about the injury by childs step father. Ms. ******* initially contacted me by text message saying the scrape was washed at the time of the incident and I received the incident report later that evening. Report says it happened at 10:15am May 20th and the scrape was cleaned. My issue here is we were not told immediately or at least day of, I had to ask. If I had overlooked this injury it could have had incredibly negative results for my household. SEE ATTACHMENT BBB Problem_continutation for more.

    Hi ****,

Thank you for voicing your concerns. We take all feedback very seriously and strive to address any issues raised by our clients. However, we must clarify that some of the information provided in your complaint was not accurate. For instance, regarding your concern about an access door being propped open, it is important to note that at the time, there were no children in the building as it was the end of the day and our staff was cleaning the facility. The few children present were supervised by teachers in the back playground outside.

Furthermore, we must address the primary reason for the termination of care at our facility. There were reports of you confronting one of our employees with a raised hand. Shortly thereafter, you followed another employee to her vehicle, yelled at her in the parking lot, and got too close to her, alone and after hours, while she was with her 3-year-old child. These actions made our staff feel threatened and unsafe, which is a serious concern for us.

While we acknowledge that mistakes can happen, we also want to emphasize that the safety and well-being of our staff and children are our top priorities. Your continued patronage suggests that you felt your children were safe in our care. However, the safety of our staff was compromised due to your actions, which necessitated the termination of your care with us.

We appreciate your feedback and are committed to continuous improvement. We have been proudly serving the community for over 30 years and will continue to work diligently to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for everyone.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: 1. It's another round of lies from the business / 2. they simply don't see the bigger picture of the issue / 3. They haven't addressed everything I brought up in my complaint. I provided photographic evidence to the facility that a door was propped open, and I still have those photos. I myself mentioned no kids were present in the room that the door in question is a part of. However, the problem with that door is that it grants UNRESTRICTED access to the rest of the entire facility. Resulting in a detriment to the safety of kids (supervised or otherwise.) Also, your reason this time for why it was propped open in the first place is different than the reason given when I initially brought it to your attention. This time you tell me staff was cleaning but initially you told me it was propped open because you were trying to air out the smell of poopy diapers. Either way as I stated originally, neither are an excuse to leave an outside access door propped open and unwatched.

Furthermore, the accusation that I raised my hand to an employee is blatantly false and that is the second time your company has slandered me with false allegations. Providing nothing as any kind of substantiating proof to those ridiculous claims. As for "following another employee to her vehicle" that is also false. One instance I can think of where anything remotely like that even happened was because I just so happened to park next to one of them (and if I remember that correctly she technically followed me out there.) There wasn't even a conversation. If you're going to continue slandering my reputation just because I have pointed out how you are failing as a business you should at least provide dates, times, and the exact nature of the situation like I did for you. Your employees are inept and incompetent and apparently flat-out liars. I mean if that were true, you would have at least had a police officer on scene when I picked my kids up for the last time don't you think? You had notice, since you made the decision to terminate, and I told you to have all our belongings ready to go that day. So, I either posed a significant risk to the facility where you should have had law enforcement present at pick-up...but didn't, or your claims are blatantly false and are a sad attempt to protect your reputation. To make it absolutely clear to everyone, the only threat I ever made to any one individual or group of individuals at Angie's Angels was that I would pull my kids from the daycare center. I never "raised my hand" to an employee or threatened anybody, especially in front of a child as alleged.

And just to be clear. Our continued patronage with your facility was because you were the most financially suitable to our individual situation. And for no other reason. Though we may not have felt our children were in immediate danger we certainly questioned their safety and well-being as explained in my initial complaint. And in that mindset, we requested a meeting with management individuals to address all concerns. Legitimate concerns. And your response was termination of service. Not only no meeting to address concerns but also cancelled our childcare. Then when I call out your business mistakes in what will become a public format, you accuse me or my family in general of multiple egregious false allegations to make yourselves look better than you are and protect your reputation.

    Sincerely,

    **** ********

The Angie's Angels staff have been nothing but kind and respectful to the this family. We are a small business serving the Fremont community for over 30 years. If a family does not feel we provide the criterial they are looking for in a childcare center there are other options available that may meet their needs. In this case if Mr. **** did not feel his children where safe or in the best care but it is unclear as to why he kept bringing them. There is no business out there that is going to be perfect, however, we do our best to address any situation that may arise swiftly and respectfully. If Mr. **** this many issues after we addressed them within our means again I ask why did you, Mr. ****, continue bringing your children? The minute our staff did not feel safe we ended our services. It seems that any further communication with Mr. **** escalates any type of resolution and I do not feel that we will come to any conclusions peacefully. We will continue to serve our families in the Fremont community with quality and care. We wish Mr. **** and his family luck in his future endeavors.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Angies Angels has made no real attempt to explain or rectify concerns. As a father entrusting my children to a daycare facility, I do not expect perfection. I do however expect competence. When your own handbook has procedures for sick/ill children I expect you to follow your own guidelines, not walk in to pick up my kid sitting in the center of a circle of other kids all eating food. If she's really sick to the point I have to pick her up seems like you're trying to get the kids sick on purpose, not to mention notifying me every other week nearly that one of my kids had to come home.  When a parent mentions a concern with people coming in and out of the facility or the potential for that to be the case because employees are giving out door codes to random people, I don't expect only a few months later to have to notify you why it isn't okay to leave an outside access door propped open that grants unrestricted access throughout the rest of the entire facility. When I hash out the details with a facility administrator, a regional manager, and an owner the details of their own form and the requirements for Angies Angels to administer Tylenol for fever control, I don't expect to be experiencing the same situation and having to explain to a different facility administrator a few short months later why she is incorrect about Angies Angels own form. When my child gets injured at the facility under your supervision, I expect to be notified about it day off. Not take my child home, discover it and then question why I wasn't told only receiving an incident report because I asked what happened to her under your care. Furthermore, to this day I still have not received an answer to my inquiry about whether or not my daughter hit her head during that incident. In the tail end of this whole thing you guys have been neither nice, fair, nor respectful or whatever you said in your response to me or my family. You have made at least three blatantly false allegations and provided no evidence to substantiate those claims. Proving in partner with all the information I have given that neither the kids nor parents, for that matter, are particularly safe with Angies Angels when the two responsible parties have a disagreement.
    Sincerely,

On August 15th, 2023 I pulled my children’s enrollment from this childcare center. When I did that my children still had belongings in the building. They are in possession of 4 mam infant bottles, 3 pairs of shorts, 2 short sleeve shirts, 1 long sleeve shirt, and a diaper bag. I’ve tried to contact the administration numerous times to get my items back and I only get voicemails with no return calls. At this point I don’t think I’m getting my possessions back. The bottles are work $25 and the clothes are worth $50 and the diaper bag is worth $25.

Belongings are sitting in bag inside the front door in child's bag (see attached). Parent brings one bottle at a time and it is also located in the bag.
