Type of complaint: Breach of Contract, and failure to remedy defects in construction as covered under written contract dated January 28, 2022 Date of transaction: March 28-29, 2022 Dollar amount: $3,074 (paid January 28th, 2022 through ****'s) Location: **** ****** *** ******, ******** ***** M & L Builders and Restoration, L.L.C. did enter my property to perform vinyl fence installation and repair. Services contracted for: Install 8' wide 6' tall custom vinyl privacy gate. Install approximately 60 linear feet of 6 ' vinyl privacy fence. Repair heaving posts at Northeast and Northwest corner of yard. Reset or reinstall other posts as needed. Contractor to use materials provided by customer purchased from ****'s. M &L Builders: 1. Did not use all materials provided by the customer, me, purchased from ****'s. $234.00 2. Did damage custom gate, $710.00 also purchased from ****'s 3. Improperly install gate posts, end posts, panels, and rails at: a. Gate b. South fence c. Northwest corner d. Northeast corner Footings are broken, and posts shifted. 4. Did, without consent or owner's (complainant) knowledge bury large pieces of concrete debris in yard, resulting in a 24-inch diameter sinkhole in the backyard. I, the complainant, and ****'s have made multiple attempts to reach M & L Builders and Restoration, L.L.C. to have repairs made. To date, the subcontractor has not responded. I am pursuing all available remedies available to have either have work properly completed, or recovery, sufficient to hire another contractor to repair and/or replace the fence. I also wish that this complaint be posted, so other consumers can make an informed decision whether or not they wish to do business with M & L Builders and Restoration Services, L.L.C. Sincerely,

The business informed BBB that ****'s assisted a veteran with a fence repair for a home he purchased. When the work on the fence was complete, the consumer was satisfied, but has since complained about other issues (such as the sinkhole on his neighbor's property). ****'s has inspected the fence and found nothing wrong. The business no longer is subcontracting for ****'s. The consumer has since sent emails to the business' ******** page that he does not have a dispute with the business.
If the consumer is still having issues with the fence, he should refer the matter to ****'s.
