I wish we would have looked further into ****. He is extremely convincing so beware. **** was full of all kinds of bizarre excuses. He took our deposit in August 2022. He did small job for us in October (installing a ceiling fan) and then did not return until first week of December to start our actual basement remodel. He came for a few days (4 ish hours) for about 3 days to do framing and then he started not showing. additionally, he installed drywall without any insulation behind it on exterior walls, he said he would correct this right away and he never did. He had every excuse on why he was not coming but each time he came he would ask for more and more money. AGAIN, he seems trustworthy, but he is not in any sense. He has taken 18,900 from us and we have next to no work to show for it. I am beyond sick with the amount of money we have given this con artist. This is our February communication with **** Feb 2 - 10:30am-11:30am at house Feb 3 - 12:30p-2:30pm - stated he would be back with more supplies, never returned. No communication Feb 6 - text that he was sick with the flu and he would be back on Feb 7th Feb 7 - text still sick, will return feb 8th Feb 8th - text at 245p that he will be back feb 9th Feb 9th - text stating he will be back on Feb 10th with drywall, if raining he will start on can lights Feb 10th - no communication Feb 11th - no communication Feb 12th- Sent text expressing disappointment. no Response from **** Feb 13- responds with apology - states he will without a doubt have our job done by April 30 Feb 14 - no communication Feb 15 - *** asked when he would be back, he responds he will be back the 16th by 930 Feb 16 - 905am not coming, new person no showed. Back and forth communication about disappointment in current work. Reassured us the job would be done by April 30. States he will be back Tuesday the 21st Feb 21 - text at 11am, going to Home Depot then will be over. 11:40am arrival left at 1240 to go find a camera to run cam lighting. Texted at 3pm that can’t get camera until tomorrow, will be back in the morning Feb 22 - did not show, did not text with any update

Signed an agreement on April 19th 2022 with Bella Remodeling to finish our basement. Agreed to pay $4,451.15 in 13 installments as the work/progress was made towards completion. The estimated total payments made would equal $57,865 but was dependent upon materials that we chose for the job. The agreement stated that the job would be completed by 8/30/2022. The project agreement included $16,400 allowance for materials to be chosen by the homeowners. Eight payments were made to Bella Remodeling for work done on the basement. The 8th installment was for drywall to be hung. This was never completed along with the remainder of the project that would have included the homeowners (myself and my husband) choosing materials such as vanities, flooring, stone, etc for the project with the $16,400 allowance built into the 13 payments that would have been paid. We paid 8 of the 13 payments and did not receive any of the built in allowance for selections. Just like the previous complaint made against this business, we received numerous text messages or no messages for no shows that were related to "family issues". We made numerous concessions to help the owner get through this difficult time in his life as he said to us. We fronted the owner money because he was cash strapped and couldn't continue without the upfront money. The job completely ended in November when the owner no longer responded to us and no longer showed. We made every effort to work on this dispute with the owner asking him to refund the 8th payment made for the drywall to be hung. This did not even include the allowance built into the payment schedule for "owner selected allowances". We have received no response from the owner regarding this matter. Our basement is not finished and this project was started in May of 2022. We have waited for a resolution by the business owner but have now contracted with another business to finish the project.

We signed a contract with Bella Remodeling in August of 2020. He agreed to add a bar and bathroom in our basement before December 7th. As of March 20th **** did not start the bathroom and the bar was not completed. He provided excuse after excuse on why he could not show up. He also asked for multiple draws of payment throughout the process without work being completed. Dont fall for his lies like we did. He seems like a trustworthy guy but believe me we are out thousands of dollars without the work to show for it.

     Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and agree that we are working toward an agreeable solution.

We are currently happy with the progress that is being made and the communication from the contractor. Our agreement is to have everything finalized by 4.30.22 so would be able to provide an update as needed in a few weeks.

    Thank you!
