Honda service department is ****, bought a ******************************************************************************************************* and out of P,R, and drive . When you would drive it would shake, they ended up putting a new reman transmission in. ****** mile or 3 year warranty. This was back in March 30, 2023, about 4 or 5 months later the new transmission started messing up a little bit. Called Honda service just to be told to keep driving it. It's because It's a new transmission and need broken in . Now I haul a small lawnmower and trailer from time to time and the Pilot is able to tow up to *****. After words the shifting got worst, they did a triple flush on the transmission and a software up date and said drive it for 500miles and now they are putting another reman transmission in but and said the new replacement will not have a warranty. And I also asked about the Torque converter if it would be new .Honda services said No it the same one from when I bought the Pilot. So 3 transmissions later With the same torque converter.I've worked on a lot of vehicles. And that's something that you should replace. After the first transmission messing up due to oil build up and things that could potentially Damage the new transmission. Overall, I'm very disappointed. With the quality of their work, let alone the way they talk to me as a customer they lied to me about doing an oil change that *** had done and said that my oil bolt was so loose that they could touch in, it would have fell out if that was the case,I would have oil all. Over my driveway and garage. And I asked where the camera footage is and they said they don't need cameras because they have trusted tec, that work there I call Bs,I will be taking my vehicle elsewhere to get looked at, Because I cannot trust the lima honda side service, Simple math because they also try to say that this wasn't covered because I went over the mileage on my vehicle. But the warranty was still good at ******.

Their story keeps changing. The service department was less than ideal. Originally it was our engine was having trouble because we never changed the oil and they could find any oil changes for our vehicle despite us going to them for an oil change 4-6 months earlier. Then they could only find two. I told them I had changed it myself most of the time as I have worked in many car shops. Then they said the engine wouldn't be covered under the warranty because of Honda corporate. We call Honda corporate who told us it is up to the dealership. Next we spoke to the service department who then told us it was their policy. When we asked to see the policy they were unable to produce it. Overall it felt like we weren't getting the whole story. The car itself is not that old we shouldn't be having engine issues. Currently we have 5 Hondas after this experience I wont be going back to Whites and likely will stop buying their product if they wont stand behind it.

I am aware of the situation and am sorry you are going thru this. In this case it is out of our hands. We submit the claim to a district parts and service manager from Honda of America. He requested the service records and we sent what we had. Based on the lack of documented maintenance and the condition of the engine he then declined the claim. The vehicle has a recommended maintenance interval clearly stated in the owners manual that must be followed to maintain the warranty. Again it is not how we want it. We would much rather be paid by Honda to put a warranty engine in a vehicle than to have an upset customer.

I took my Honda here for an oil change. Which has to be done at a dealer for my warranty to be valid. After waiting over an hour, the mechanic *****, asked to talk to me away from everyone else in the waiting room. He showed me a filter that was filthy and showed me a list of "things" that needed done. My vehicle was running fine. The list totaled $729! I refused to let him do anything else but the oil change. He was upset! He asked me if I wanted the filter put back in. I said yes, it got me here. I watched him go back into the garage and throw the filter on a table. I saw my vehicle in a stall with the hood closed. Within a minute another guy got in my car and drove it over to the door for me to pick up. A girl came to get me saying my car was done. I had to go to a different mechanic to pay . My boyfriend is a mechanic. I had him check everything on the "list". Nothing was in need of replacing or fixing. My filter was still in my car. That filthy filter must be the one they show people to get them to spend more money on "things" that don't need done. I can't imagine how many people they have scammed! Needless to say I will never go back to them!

First off let me apologize if you felt like we were trying to take advantage, it is never our intention to alienate a customer and we would never recommend maintenance that we didn't think was needed based on condition, time or mileage. I looked up our recommendations and they are all preventative maintenance items that I would recommend again on a 9 yr old honda with 75k miles. We had no svc history on the vehicle and had no way to know if the fluids had been changed for example. We did recommend a cabin air filter not an engine air filter so the hood would not need to be open to inspect it. We typically consult on repairs or recommended maint in private as a courtesy to the customer. I would be glad to review the list with Melissa or her boyfriend and go into more detail on why we recommended them. There was nothing "broken" and our goal is to see that nothing does break. I hope this helps.
