My agreement was for labor only, one third down, one third when 50% completed. Final balance and materials when finished. Kitchen: Job was to paint new wood cabinets. Put up shelves. Do trim work to complete cabinets , 650.00 Put several pieces of flooring down and nail one side door facing to back door. Free. Bathroom: Remove tub and basin and reinstall, and take down two shelves and put up 3 cabinets on wall. 850.00. Build tub surround. 1500.00. Total for labor 3000.00 Job to be completed in 5 days. One sloppy coat of paint on cabinets. No prep and uneven coverage. One shelf installed wrong place.. Second shelf not installed. Had to have replaced large section of back splash where shelf was installed wrong. Too many holes. Paint on floor in kitchen, dining room, porch and sidewalk. Left a cabinet in middle of floor for a week. Worked one day and 2-3 hours each day for two days. Never cleaned any mess. Left paint rags on floor. Did not finish. Did not hear from them till the next week. Called and wanted to know if I wanted them to come back. We redid contract since tub and basin did not have to be removed and he did not install cabinets. He was to remove 850.00 and add repair of back door for 125.00. Did a sloppy job and dd not complete tub surround. Nailed up ceiling panel when adhedsive did not hold. No trim work. There are gaps at each end of tub and ceiling panel looks like it is pulling away. He left 5 tension type curtain rods holding up ceiling. There is a 2x4 at end of tub. He did not remove tub and basin or put up cabinets. Back door: A smaller door jam was installed and balance of area filled in with foam from what looks like a kids swimming pool noodle. It was only done about 2 weeks ago and foam is already tearing up. I paid 1000.00 down, and 1000.00 at 50%. 2000.00 total paid. The work is all to say the least sub standard. He does not appear to know what he is doing. I would like a refund of my money.

I’m sorry you feel this way and I am sorry for my wrongs. We had other things going on such as the lawsuit we are going through with another client that had work to be fixed by us. As well as a large job that had started prior to yours. Name a day and time, we will come back and finish/fix everything to your standard. No charge on labor. I would also just like to state for the record I have over $500 wrapped up in materials there anyways, so it’s not just a problem for you. Once again, I apologize.

I would not like the business to return and finish the work. I just want my money back so I can hire someone else to complete the job.

That is alright. Please give me some time to acquire the funds as I’m not in a good place financially at this time.

I would like a time frame in which I would be paid in full. I am thinking 2 weeks. I need the money in order to hire others to complete the job. I prefer the refund in cash.

I am ok with giving you a refund. If that’s what it takes so be it. I will need some time to collect the funds. Considering I’m on a low pay court related job and also on a long term site that hasn’t produced much money yet.

Started a contract for drywall with an estimate of $3,500. Do you want a 20% down, and I was to buy all the materials. The job it required installing a new ceiling, finishing, And putting knockdown ceiling. The other was to frame around a existing doorway with drywall, put up drywall over an existing wall, And fixing drywall repair on the chimney and two side walls. They were also two cut out a window in the kitchen, frame it in, and finish it. All they did was put up a few pieces of drywall, the ceiling and started the frame out of a window. They did about $400 worth of work. And that's given them credit. The work that they have started was completely shoddy and has to be redone.

From Day 1 she did not comply with contract, states she "knows how this works" and "I will give you 20% now and the rest when you are done" With the contract she signed stating differently. Among other things, from Day 1 to now, we are at this point because while I was on another job site yesterday, she went to said job site and was slandering/defaming me and my companies name over work that's not finished, then attempted to sweet talk them into doing additional work for her, which she must have thought was going to happen, except the fact that the guys called me and told me everything she said, she denied all claims and accusations. More details to come, but this is a typical case of scamming contractors, had us give her 3+ different estimates changing multiple things every time. She has been served with a termination notice with resolves, and seems to think because I am young that I know nothing. In I quote, her to my guys, "I don't like him because he is young" after having spent hours of times with me, and countless times physically touching me attempting to be flirtatious with me during said times, along with her doing this to my guys as well. Also, I keep each and every one of my guys fully informed on the scope of work for situations like this. She started making claims to them about work I had never even heard about that "we are supposed to do". She is not very civil about things and believes she makes all choices aside from work, concerning my business because she "knows how this works". Claims quality is poor, but the work is unfinished. Meaning that it's not supposed to look good when it is incomplete, she does not trust the process. I will not have my named slandered, or my companies, on false accusations when I have the contract and estimate with everything listed, as opposed to reading estimate prior to signing, she looked straight to the bottom for the total, having not read anything. BBB knows we do quality work or we would not be here. Let's get this process started.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:First... I did not say anything about anyone being dishonest...... My concern was the quality of the work. My concern was you asking for another third payment when you haven't even done a tenth of the work. That was my concern. Slapping up a couple pieces of drywall and cutting out a square doesn't consist of what I've already paid you. Contract work is normally 20% down and upon completion the final payment. And I was under the assumption that they were going to work ...  And at least show up.  So when I went there that morning a couple times, and seen that absolutely no one was there besides my roofer. I became concerned. And rightfully so. City of Lima inspectors showed up while I was at home. One of the inspectors was not at all impressed with the work. Stated the work would not pass if I were to have a permit for the work done. But because it was less than 25%, I didn't need a permit. The ceiling is already looking like it's going to fall down. They didn't even finish all the drywall hanging on the ceiling. And to top it all off, he was demanding more money because he stated the job was half done. The job was not even close to being done halfway.

Once again it had nothing about being dishonest. It was quantity and quality is what my concern was.

And the flirtatious comment is an absolute joke. I'm old enough to be his mother and if that's the best response he has; he is seriously demented.

    Sincerely,
