We contracted with Jason **** from February 2023-May 2023 and it was the worst decision we have ever made. We thought we were hiring a competent contractor, but we were left with a complete mess and THOUSANDS wasted. We hired him to run plumbing for 2 full bathroom remodels, install gas lines, switch out light fixtures, and assist in a kitchen remodel. Every single thing this guy touched got ruined, but here is just a few examples: - Attached photo of a vinyl surround. It was 3 solid pieces. He ended up cutting it into about 6 pieces and left gaps all throughout where there is exposed drywall. I had to have it torn out, ordered new $900 vinyl surround and installed new. Paid a second time for material and labor. - Attached photo shows his "access panel" patch job to that same bathroom shower. Had to hire another company to fix the plumbing and patch the panel correctly. - Attached photo shows just 1 example of how an exterior light fixture was left for 6 weeks because he would continually come and go and leave boxes opened and lose materials. A second photo shows another light fixture that he lost pieces for. I didn't take photos, but he broke 4 other light fixtures that I had to also order new. Over $500 in light fixtures absolutely ruined and had to order new and pay someone to install again. - Attached photo shows close up of the scratches he made to this cabinet and every other cabinet. We had custom Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets made. He installed the high end hardware on them and scratched every single cabinet during the install. Not only that, but he broke 2 of them and had to order replacements. Worst of all, check out the next photo that shows how he mis-drilled the holes! What competent contractor doesn't know how to install door handles and ruins CUSTOM MADE CABINETS? Bottom line, every thing he touched got ruined and had to be redone. This complaint is solely to save others from dealing with him.

Jason **** started the job of installing kitchen backsplash tile in January 2024.. After an ENDLESS variety of excuses, delays and no-shows, the job is still not finished. We have already paid more than the original estimate. He stopped answering texts, phone calls and voice mail messages. Now his phone is out of service.

We contracted Jason B*** and AJ Home Upgrades to pour a concrete pad for our backyard. We paid a deposit of $3000 when work began on July 5th. We were told the entire process should take 7-14 days depending on the availability of concrete. The excavation which was supposed to be a one day job began on July 6th and took multiple days to complete. This was the beginning of what has now become nearly a 12 week ordeal full of lies, excuses, delays and broken promises. Our backyard has remained unusable for ANYTHING at all for the last 11 weeks. Every time we have questioned Jason about the process we are met with either excuses, or given a promise of work being done within a few days; which of course is a lie and is never kept. Eventually in early to mid Aug., Jason told my husband that the issue was “money and guys”. He doesn’t have the money or the guys to do the work. He then told my husband if we just gave him some more money, since that was the issue, he could figure it out and get it done. We issued another payment of $2500 the 2nd week in Aug. hoping he would finally keep his word to us. NO SUCH LUCK. Instead we were met with more promises, lies, and excuses. Finally after threats of legal action in early September Jason promised us he would make this a priority and get it done. Since then we’ve had 3-5 dates for gravel delivery and concrete pouring. Only one was met… sort of. Jason had some rocks delivered (approximately 1/4 of what was actually needed for the job) but they sat in a pile for over a week. He did stop by one Saturday to look for 30 mins but no work was completed. Today 9/25/23 gravel was finally delivered but Jason was nowhere to be found. So WE were forced to pay $504 for the gravel. Then my husband spent 8-10 hours spreading the gravel around the backyard. He did in 10 hours by himself what Jason and his “crew” of people couldn’t do in 10 weeks. We now have gravel spread around the yard, but of course no concrete still.
