on 9/16 I hired Rent a Husband/****** ***** to remodel a wall in my family room--remove paneling from the wall, add drywall, paint and trim the wall. When he was here he pointed out other issues with the house--the gutters needed cleaning, power washing deck and roofing, replacing a shutter, he wanted to redo the roof, said the chimney needed fixing, etc. He ended up giving me a quote of $24,000 total (plus the $1500 that I had already been quoted for the original work) and then proceeded to start 5 different projects and none of them have been completed. He went out of town for a week, was not in communication again until 10/7, then came back and showed up at the house on 10/8 and as I started showing him all the incomplete work and what I wasn't happy with he started yelling at ME---calling me a b***h and a c**t (actually said the "c**t muscle was in full force". I told him I didn't want him touching the roof or the chimney at this point. I have paid him a total of $12,832 so far and none of the work has been fully completed. And he wanted another $17,000. And...he took a power washer and ladder that belonged to me. I have a lot more pictures of the incomplete work that I can provide. I've attached copies of the itemized work and quoted prices along with copies of the checks that have been paid and the advertisement that I found him through. I would like to be refunded for incomplete work on the gutters/leaf guards, power washing, interior wall remodel, roof work and chimney work. I'm happy to pay for work that has actually been completed but not for work that is incomplete and still needs fixing (i.e. he broke the fireplace mantel when he took it off the wall). And I want my power washer and ladder back. There are 2 large trashcans of his that are still here on the premises that he can retrieve.
