            on 9/2/22 I hired L&M Painting and Remodeling to paint my house. a ****** ***** came to my home wrote up a contract after looking at all the work required. Contract was for$3,300 Mr. ***** was given a check for $600 and said he was going to start on 9/3/22 which he did not. Instead, he asked for $700 more dollars before he could start stating he had to pay his crew. He started some work on and on until 9/12/22 then completely stopped working on the house saying he needed more for materials. $160 on9/13/22, $300 on 9/14/22, $575 on9/15/22, $800 on9/19/22, $400 on 9/21/22, $300 0n 9/23/22 and another $500 0n 9/26/22, At this point i started to get worried and asked him where all the material and I asked for receipts because he wasn't doing any paint work just trying to make up sides jobs to do and i said after the work on the house is done, we can discuss it. Mr. ***** would forward my calls and avoid me So i went to the Police Station with my concerns. ***** then called me making threats to hold off longer on work to my house and saying he will not finish the job if i keep talking to police. He also threatens to get more money out of me... i asked him to just give me some of my money back so I can hire someone else since its obvious Hes not going to do the job. He stated Hes not giving anything. Today is 10/1/22 I called Mr., ***** over 30 times, he forwarded my calls then called me back once i left the Police Station he was foul, yelling threats trying to get more money from me knowing he hasn't done any work on my house totaling $4,335. Mind you we already past the contract amount of 3,300. Mr. ***** also stated who's going to believe me over him. He has been paid for work he has not done. he messed my home up. I just want the money back please help me. Thank You.
