We had discussed with Robert M***** of Rob's Contracting LLC originally about doing some remodel work. After a few discussions, it was decided he would do a complete demolish on our current residence and build a new home for $130,000.

We paid him a deposit of $8000 to have the plans done by an architect and start the planning process. He was to begin the build on our home the week of September 1st. After the payment, we didn't hear much from him. I sent text messages and/or messages via FB messenger to inquire about the plans. We were given excuses as to it's with the architect and I haven't received a response, he is backed up, his engineer is backed up, he even sent a screenshot of a text from the supposed architect stating the engineer was behind. We contacted the architect, and he has never worked with Rob's Contracting. He requested a job and they declined to work with him.

After the initial payment and no answers, no receipts, no plans and all kinds of rudeness, I asked for a refund. He said he would mail it, we didn't receive it, he said he mailed it again, we didn't receive it, he said he would meet us to hand deliver the check, then said he received the check back and had to pay postage on it even. I never returned a letter from him, why would I when I requested a refund. He of course never showed the letter that he paid the postage for.

After the time period of no refund and him not starting the job in September, we hired an attorney to write a demand letter. He sent the letter and requested a response with the refund be sent to their office by 11/8/22 and they have not received the refund or a response.

HI, I'm wanted to reply to the email we received giving Mr. M*****'s response.

Mr. M***** has no expenses involved , the architect he claims to have hired refused to work with him and he has refunded $0 to us as of today.    We reached out to the architect who he claimed to have hired.  ****, the architect, did meet with him, originally for another job, and declined to do both jobs and never received any payment from Mr M*****.

There was no planning, no payment to an architect no work completed and no refund given.  We have spoken with an attorney, contacted our credit card company thapayment was made by since nothing was received for the $5000 payment. They are going to be contacting him as well.  We have contacted our bank for the $3000 part paid by check for the remainder of the $8000.

This situation has not been resolved.  I copied the reply below to be able to track it together for myself.
    Thank you!

I designed my side. Sent it, affimed it, hired the architect,  met with him in which **** refused until she received full payment, leaving me stuck with the bill and even refunded 5000$ of 8,000 which she knew wasn't refundable prior to making payments. I have fulfilled my end.

    Hello,

I did file a complaint with my credit card company for the $5000 paid through the card.  It is in a review status currently.  The charges have been removed from my card while it is under review.

There is also an additional $3000 paid via check that no services were rendered on and a refund should be made on this amount.  No plans were done, no architect was contracted and no services were received so a complete refund should be made.

     Thank you,
