Beware! I go to the Godard Car Wash off of ***** ** and I noticed a while back on my bank statement that the self serve spray bay that states $2 for four minutes, is actually charging me $10. I went inside to say something and they acknowledged it and said that you must turn the knob to the off position otherwise it will charge you $10. she refunded my money. Fast forward to today(1-16-2023). I use the self serve spray bay and follow her directions after my 4 minutes were up. I then immediately check my bank statement to see it STILL charged me $10. I go inside and they refund my money. but also claim that I'm the only customer that complains about this making me feel like she thinks I'm lying. she then told me if I don't like it to go somewhere else. I leave and go ask two random people spraying off their cars if they are aware of the situation. Both were clueless and are probably also getting over charged.

Thank you for the opportunity to explain how our car wash works and what happens on our end.
When a customer swipes their credit card at a self-serve bay, the credit card processor puts a $10.00 hold on the customer’s account. Every night when the system batches, the customer is only charged for what time they used.
Since Mr. *****’s complaint, we have installed signs explaining how the self-serve machines work and that there will be a $10.00 hold placed on a customer’s account at the time of use.
On the two occasions Mr. ***** had an issue, he was refunded cash in the amount of $8.00 each time immediately at the dealership. His credit card would have batched that evening and should have only charged him $2.00 for the time he used at the wash both times. We do not have his information to follow up on the amounts he was charged. If Mr. ***** believes this was not the case, he is more than welcome to bring his statements into the dealership that shows the actual $10.00 charges. I would actually like to take that information to our credit card processors to have them fix the issue if that is the case.
Again thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint. I hope this provided a better understanding of the circumstances and that the issue has been resolved.
