Today while looking for a vehicle I came across on that fits our budget. After talking with my wife we were willing to possibly go to New Philadelphia Ohio to look at the vehicle. We found out that this vehicle is at auction however it’s still on their website which is considered false advertising. So now I want this company to face a penalty for false advertising a vehicle they don’t have. I have the screenshot of this vehicle which says in stock

    Mr. *******,

I reviewed the communication notes in our customer relations software and I was glad to see that we were able confirm with you that the vehicle was not here before you made the trip.  As I responded in the other complaints that you made regarding this non-transactiion our inventory changes literally on the daily.  We do the best we can to make sure that our inventory listings are as up to date as possible, and sometimes one falls through the cracks!

I can see a couple things based on the screenshot that you sent.  Number one, I did not see anywhere that it indicated "In Stock" as you stated.  Number two, the screenshot you sent is from ********.  Unfortunately I have no control over their feed.  I also know that the feed that they publish has at least a 24 hour delay from the time that we make a change.  For the most up to date look possible always visit us at *******************.  It will have the most accurate reflection of availability.

At any rate, I'm very glad that you did not have to make the trip over here to find out that the unit you were interested in was not here!  Call us anytime and we'd be glad to check our stock before you make the trip!

Please let us know if we can help with anything else.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I know several people who work for ******** and it’s the responsibility of the dealership to communicate if the vehicle is on the lot or not. So again this falls on you not ********. I’m in contact with the Attorney General’s office from ************ to get this matter taken care of if the BBB don’t help.

    Regards,

    ******* *******
