On April 9, 2024, I had set up a time to drive a specific vehicle at 3:45. I test drove the vehicle (Jeep Compass) and started the process to purchase the vehicle. I was given the paper for trade in value for the vehicle I was trading and the month-to-month payment break down. My husband wanted to see the paperwork as he was not there. He would be able to go in and finalize the deal the next day (22 hours later). The car salesman (******) said that would work and that he would put the car on hold so no one else could buy it. I asked again if the car would be held so no one else could buy it and I was assured it would be held. An hour later I received a text message that the car sold and a different vehicle that was $6,000 more in cost. I was not interested and did not understand why the vehicle was not held. This is when the car salesman started denying the conversation and that the vehicle would be put on hold. Through texting, ****** started bringing up me not putting any money down, not telling him I wanted the vehicle and that he couldn’t put it on hold until the next morning. None of that was mentioned and I did tell him I wanted it or I wouldn’t have gotten the trade value and paperwork. He was trying to cover up his mistake. He then told me I couldn’t expect them to hold it for two days but it wouldn’t have been. I set the meeting up for less than 24 hours later. Upon asking for this situation to be fixed, he made it out to be my fault and should have bought the vehicle when I was there.

Customer left on April 9th stating she had to discuss the purchase with her husband and  would likely be in the next day.  ****** told her he would pull the vehicle up the next morning for her.  We were going to hold the vehicle on the 10th for her until her appointment but it was still for sale the rest of the day on the 9th.  Shortly after the customer left, another person came in and purchased it.
