I have several issues with the jobs done by Schwamy's Construction LLC. I have tried to work this out with him but, he says "my complaints are cosmetic" & "the job was done a year ago & i'm complaining now". I told him most of my complaints when it was finished to which he blamed it on things out of his control " bad wood". I paid him & I shouldn't have. We had a verbal agreement of 10k for roof 8k for soffits & siding...he later said he didn't include soffits & needed 2k more. My fault too for not getting it in writing. I specifically said I wanted foil backed siding for more insulation & chose my color...he told me my color wasn't available & I picked another. He ended up getting non foil back siding without telling me. The garage has a few issues, Gutter is shorter from one side to the other. The longer gutter dosen't fit together correctly, you can see white metal where the joint is & water comes out weirdly. He just keep saying the gutters were done a year ago, which they were done in October 21 with the roof. The house has issues also...The siding on the driveway side is put on so seams show when you pull up, looks terrible. A piece of fascia came off, he did put it back up with screws not nails like the rest of the job, tacky. The soffits are wavy and not vented, he says "they are attached to bad wood (which he never informed me of like he did with the roof and got paid to replace). When it rains the water comes out between soffit and gutters because gutter is attached with gaps he says" it's attached to bad wood". The metal wrapped on the bottom of the house isn't even screwed in, in places. This he did for "free" but should be done correctly! No vents in the soffits he said "weren't there before so didn't put them in". There needs to be vents put in for the roof to breathe! Didn't caulk really anything. Siding was done in March of this year. He got paid $20,300 to do these jobs & he says he did all this free stuff. I never asked him to do anything for free.

[[BBB TRANSCRIPTION VIA TELEPHONE CALL W/THE BUSINESS 6/24/2022]]

Business stated the original job was done over a year ago. His business has been back to her home multiple times. He has gone above and beyond the scope of work she was originally contracted to. He stated he did a lot of extras for the consumer at no cost and actually lost money with the job. He stated contractually everything has been completed.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I don't understand how he can think the job got done a "year ago" when the roof and gutters were done in October of 21 and the siding was done in March of 22. His quote was for foil back siding and he bought non foil back siding. The metal wrapped around my house is falling off, because they didn't screw it in. One gutter on my garage is cut shorter then the other. When it rains, the rain leaks between the gutters and the soffits. You can see the white plastic where the downspouts connect to on the garage. He never even put vents in my soffits to ventilate the roof. Pulling in my driveway, you can see the seams of the siding. On the garage there are 2 sections that you can still see the wood. They didn't even put any caulk on my windows. A guy came over to put the siding back up the first time it fell off. Apperently not correctly since its laying in my grass, again! That's the only time someone came over. I don't know what all this stuff he states he did for "free" is. He never wrote out a quote for me, it was all verbal. I also paid him a extra $2000 from the price he quoted me on my siding. He says it's all cosmetic things I'm complaining about but siding and gutters are cosmetic. He is the business owner and as the buisness owner, I would think he would want his jobs done correctly. He needs to come and fix what was not done properly.

    Sincerely,
