    On June 2 around Midnight I arrived at the Rodeway Inn in South Point Ohio with my 18 year old son and his 19 year old girlfriend. My son had wanted to move closer to me when he graduated so that’s what we were doing. I reserved the room on June 1st for 4 days ( they are leaving for vacation) the next day while I was at work my husband brought my other two teenage boys ( 16& 17) to visit their brother for a couple of hours. The hotel saw that my other two boys were there and the owner began screaming at them to leave ( he said himself he simply saw them and wanted them to leave) I called the hotel from work while and the wife answered, when I identified myself she began screaming at me over the phone telling me no one under the age of 21 is allowed there and I get no refund and I’m banned from the property. Note that there are zero signs that say anything about 21 and under. When I asked her if she would please stop screaming at me and speak calmly with me and let me explain she told me I was being argumentative and now she’s calling the police on my children ( they did nothing wrong) I told her that is unnecessary and that my husband would be picking them up she then hung up. Upon further investigation I looked into their reviews and similar things have been happening here… they make ppl leave for the smaller reasons and give them no chance to explain and no refunds and people are out of money. I had been here a couple of times with my husband and I have always noticed she watches from the window as you get out of your car each time and until you get to your room. They also have some bad attitudes and are very very rude and disrespectful.

    She hide while checking inn that her son staying in room instead of her. Her son is under 21, as our policy we don’t allow anyone under 21 to stay in room by self.so we told her to stay here or take kids from here because all 4 kids were looking under age.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.

    I did get the room for my son and his girlfriend who are 18 and 19, I was not informed of her policy of 21 and under. I tried to calmly speak to this woman and she screamed at me. The two others she speaks of are my other two kids who wanted to visit their brother, they were never going to stay in that room with my son and his girlfriend they were only there for a couple of hours! I tried explaining everything and she COMPLETELY cut me off in a very unprofessional matter! She also kept calling my son’s girlfriend a boy and saying I had 4 BOYS in that room! The bottom line here is she was extremely disrespectful and stole mine and my son’s money and refused me a refund of any kind! I will be contacting my attorney if this cannot be resolved. I really hope this can be resolved!
