Charged $238 to fix a crown in January. It fell off twice after that in the space of 8 weeks because they didn't do a good enough job the first time in January. Now the dentist is charging me another $230 - for 2 additional visits for the crown they failed to recement properly twice, hence 3 visits over this period. I was told both times that I would not be charged for this recement problem). See document attached.Business response

Good afternoon.
I have reviewed the information provided and was able to determine that, the charges being referenced here are accurate. **************** was seen for two limited exams. These were billed to insurance and the claims were denied because the coverage had terminated. Therefore, those charges became patient responsibility. Our office manager had offered to provide a discount off of these charges which was denied.
The charges have been confirmed to be valid as **************** was seen.
Thank you kindly.

This business owed my daughter a duty of care that they did not complete properly nor in a timely matter. If we had gone to a more competent orthodontist to begin with we would not be having the issues we are currently dealing with. They pulled only one of my daughter's teeth and I expressed concern and my dentist did as well because it did not make sense to only pull 1 tooth. ************** reassured me that this made sense and it would work out. I expressed concerns of asymmetry and I was told it would not be a problem. We were transferred to a new location as the old one was no longer doing orthodontics. I expressed my concerns with ****************** who also said it would work out and everything would turn out ok with my daughter's treatment. At the last appointment my daughter had ****************** told us that "they can't make the body do things it can't do" and that she would need 3 more teeth pulled. I am obviously livid as I suggested this in the beginning and throughout the course of treatment and was ignored due to the incompetency of this office. I met with a new orthodontist that advised me teeth are pulled in pairs and this course of treatment never made sense. The new orthodontist also said my daughter still has a severe overbite and roots protruding that shouldn't be. Basically the orthodontist wasted our time and did nothing the past 28 months. I would like every cent of mine and the insurance company money backCustomer response

Good morning.
I am sorry to hear that you have these concerns with your child's care. I would be happy to look into this for you. In order to do so, will you please provide me with your daughter's name and date of birth to locate her chart? Also, I will need a HIPAA release to be signed to allow me to respond in this audience. Otherwise, you can email me directly at ***************************************** and we can work together towards resolution.

I had some bridgework installed to fill a gap which finalized Feb 5th. I told the Dentist that I was feeling quite a bit of pain in area. I missed the next appointment due to a medical condition. When I called to setup a new appointment on March 27th to address the pain issue I was told I couldn`t be seen until Jan 17 2025. I thought I had misheard her and asked her to repeat the date as it was more than nine months in the future. She again said Jan 17 2025 after which I told her I couldnt live with the pain that long and I would find someone else to repair what they had done. I also asked for a refund of the money I had prepaid for an extraction which they hadn`t done yet. I have heard nothing from them after that conversation.Initial Complaint

Fell and shattered dentures. 1st appt mid January. They only took x-rays claiming they had to get insurance authorization (even though I gave them the info before appt) . Then had to go back 2/1 for the mold. Next appt 2/26 thinking I was getting dentures. Much to my dismay they told me they would be back on 3/11. Told them that was unacceptable as I needed this weekend for an event I was partaking in. The dr told me he'd put a rush on it. That did not happen as still scheduled for 3/11. I've had to cancel my event. There's no way it should take almost 2 months. The local office was very nonresponsive in following up. I feel the prolong process is to bill insurance more. Called again today 3/1 told me dr wasn't in, office manager wasn't in. Terrible experience will never use them again. The lab they use is very slowBusiness response

Good morning and thank you for the opportunity to respond to this concern. Unfortunately, being that our team does not fabricate dentures expediting cases is not generally a possibility. Getting dentures is a multiple step process - each step takes 2-3 weeks. The team did what they could to get the dentures completed to ********************** satisfaction. The dentures were delivered on 3/11.
Thank you!

In January 2021, I had a cap on my left front tooth that chipped over a weekend. They were the only dentist that took my insurance at that time. They removed the damaged cap, shaved down the tooth underneath to prepare it for a new crown. They put a temporary crown while I was waiting for my permanent to come in like usual. I had paid for everything they stated it would cost me to have this corrected only to receive a bill for an amount that I was never informed of and now are wanting me to pay. First bill was for $1000+ . A female I spoke with said "he" would return my call. About a month and a half goes by and I started to notice a brown spot/circle on that crown that they replaced. I monitored the tooth for it to turn into a full brown circle on my tooth... I did not have the money at the time to have the tooth corrected else wear so I had to live with this tooth that was brown on the front for almost a YEAR almost until I was able to afford to get a new one at a reputable dentist within the area that I lived. I was sad and emotionally drained from constantly having to hide my tooth from people and I am in the business industry for my career.... I finally was able to see a new dentist who stated that the nerve was THANKFULLY not dead and when corner set the new crown it possibly had fluid on the tooth or blood which I was fearing because of the way the tooth ended up. Time goes by and I get another bill for 3XX on top of collections calling and I informed them of the issue and they sent it back to corner to have them justify the situation.. I have left reviews NOTHING i am not paying that bill for their wrong and I can pull my dental records to prove this issue and the amounts I've paid to rectify their mistake. I had to pay $1700 out of my pocket to get a new tooth on top of what I paid corner already which put me into financial burden. I was NOT allowing for them to touch my tooth, teeth, or mouth on kids or I ever. This experience has ruined my dental faith.Business response

Good afternoon.
I have been attempting to email to get a HIPAA release to be able to respond. However, my emails are returning. Once I have a HIPAA Release, signed by Ms. ********, I will be happy to provide response to her concerns.

Thank you for submitting that. I have reviewed the chart and found that in November 2021 and February 2022 Ms. ******** had reached out to our office with concerns with treatment provided. At that time, our team requested the records (notes, treatment plan and xrays) from the provider that she had seen subsequent to our office. We were going to have a thorough clinical review completed to determine if a refund was warranted. To date, we have not received those records.
If Ms. ******** can provide those records here or have them emailed to me at *************************, I will be happy to have that clinical review completed to determine next steps.
Thank you kindly,

My wife had some dental work being done at the Sylvania Branch of Corner Dental, how ever it has been billed to ** from the ****** location. For almost a year now we have been going back and forth about an $1800.00. Each month we receive a bill for that amount and nothing else on the invoice. We have continually tried to talk with the person in charge of this, called and left messages to which a call has never been returned to us by them. We have asked them for for a detailed bill and yet, "crickets"! That's all I want, a detailed bill so I can review and get it paid. The lack of communication from them, or not providing the bill makes me wonder what are they hiding in the billing process.Thank you,******Business response

Good afternoon.
Upon receipt of this concern, I initiated a thorough billing review of your wife's account. It appears that there was a miscommunication as to primary/secondary insurance. As a result, the payments did not post to the account, correctly. Our billing team corrected this for you. A new invoice will be sent to your wife at the email we have on file, for her.
Thank you kindly,

Three months ago I went in and had a tooth removed and one tooth shaved down. I was given a small grade pain reliever to help with the pain. About two weeks after I called to schedule my follow up to have the shaved tooth removed. I was scheduled for a few weeks out but two days before my appointment they called and told me they dentist needed to reschedule me for two weeks later. Two weeks later came and I received another call stating they had to reschedule me again due to the dentist not being able to come in for the procedure. Yet again I was rescheduled this time for over a month later. Finally my appointment date arrived, I showed up to the appointment and to my surprise an entire new staff from who I had seen a few months prior. The dentist was very unprofessional and after she pulled my tooth, told me she could give me ibuprofen for the pain. I explained to her I was unable to take them due to stomach problems, and she told me then I could go to the store and get some Tylenol and told me to leave. I asked her why I couldnt be prescribed what I had previously and she said she didn’t feel like I needed it. Most unprofessional and unpleasant experience of my life. I am truly disappointed in Corner Dental Oregon and will be filing a complaint on their reviews as well. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone.Business response

Good morning.
Thank you fr the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Without a HIPAA release, I am unable to provide specifics. However, I can speak generally to prescribing. The difficulty and invasiveness of a procedure will often determine if a prescription is written and which class of medication will be prescribed. Generally, if the extraction is what is considered "simple" IF anything is prescribed, it is usually ibuprofen. If Mr. ***** is willing to sign a HIPAA release allowing me to discuss PHI with the BBB, please share and I can respond more specifically.
Thank you!

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: despite voicing my pre-existing health condition with the dentist, my health condition was ignored and I told to leave after the dentist told me that I needed to just “go to the store and buy something” for my pain. I had a tooth cut out and expressed the pain that I was in when I was disregarded by the dentist.
Sincerely,

I am unable to respond further without a signed HIPAA release. Apologies.
