I started online courses at UT May 13th and since the start it has been nothing but hellish experience. UTs staff has been pushy and rude from the jump. The online courses were not helpful or educational at all. I decided to withdrawal after 3 weeks in the program. I was met with emails saying I owed thousands of dollars. As I didn’t even finish a course I am very confused as to why. I was not and have still not been provided any information about loans or financial aid to help me with these payments and when I ask for help they tell me the payments are my responsibility and there’s nothing that can be done. I really need help with this situation. I make 15 dollars an hour and was only trying to better my life by going to school and this doesn’t feel like that. This feels like a huge hassle and gaslighting by a university

The student was provided with a specific email (attached hereto) from her online student advisor which, based on University policy, set forth the deadline dates for withdrawal/refunds.  Additionally, the University has a standard practice of sending an email from the Registrar's Office to registered students prior to the start of each term which covers a variety of topics, including the University's refund policy.  This refund policy is established by the Treasurer's Office and is available publicly at the following website, ***********************************************************************************.  Because of the date on which the student withdrew and the University's established policy, the University is unable to adjust the billing for this student.

University of Toledo is overcharging me $600. In the attachment it is shown that I have paid around $4,100 and that my total charges are around $6,100 yet I still owe $2,600. When I call to figure this out no one answers the phone. They have a whole finance department working full time yet no one is their to answer my calls. I’ve called multiple times at different times. Left voicemails with my name, number, and what’s going on.

I keep getting text notifications from this university. My phone number appears to have belonged to a student there prior to me getting it. I've called them multiple times now over the past year and a half. I've talked to their IT manager and I've talked to the CIO's secretary about this. The IT manager just told me to have my phone provider block the texts. Doesn't work when it comes from multiple numbers at the university and I shouldn't have to do that. The university should be fixing this on their end.. The CIO's secretary has assured me that this would be taken care of but the texts are still coming in. And that's been at least 8 months ago. I'm not affiliated with this university and never will be. I have no faith that they will actually remedy the issue without solid proof that they have taken care of at this point. I've been led around by them enough at this point. At this point it's turning into harassment. I've been as professional as I can be up to this point but it's getting old.
