Hello, I have a bill for $950 which I believe is improper. I believe my insurance should cover. John’s Hopkins Medicine (Sibley and Suburban hospitals) have sent every bill over the past year or so in the wrong amount to me. After I repeatedly call and write, they fix it. For example, when I was pregnant, they improperly billed me for maternal care (John’s Hopkins used wrong billing codes!). This was an ER visit for a young child after our primary care dr referred us. I believe Johns Hopkins negligently charges families more Than they owe and does not bill insurance correctly.

I have got concerned about hearing of my son ****** *****. We saw the pediatrician, she referred us to John Hopkins All Children Hospital in New Port Richey, Florida. We made an appointment to check his hearing. We came to the appointment, they checked his hearing and we left. Later I got an estimated bill from them for about $850. I called my insurance, they said it's correct as the hospital filed this claim as an outpatient visit. I called the hospital and ask why they didn't tell me that this gonna be so expensive. They answered that their department of Financial Clearance should have called me before the appointment and given the estimate before we visit a doctor, also they should have sent me the estimated bill about 2 weeks before our appointment. I didn't receive their call, I didn't receive a mail from them before our appointment which was on 04/18/2023. But after the appointment I received the estimated bill. I called Financial Clearance. It took me many days to get an answer from them. They told me they are the ones who make the estimation but the other department Financial Counseling should have called me and sent me a mail to make every parent aware of the cost of the upcoming appointment. I called Finacial Counselling. But until now I can't get any answer from them. I called the billing department again. They told yes, I should have received a call and mail from them before the appointment. But now it's my responsibility to pay that bill. Billing department 855 *** **** Financial Clearance 727 *** **** Financial councelling 727 *** **** 2 other phone numbers I received from them 727 *** **** 727 *** **** Customer service 727 *** **** I did try to call all the number, but nothing helped. If I new how much they charge, I would never go to them. I would got ENT office and pay $40 co-pay. 4443 Rowan rd, New Port Richey, FL 34653 It's the address of the hospital. I also attach the screenshot when I received the estimate from them.

Complaint Type: Problems with Product/Service My name is *** ****. I received a $300 bill last week from Johns Hospital Medicine for a Microslide Consult on 5/19/2022. On the bill, my Guarantor # is *******; Service # is ********; Provider Name is ******, ****** MD; Service Date is 5/19/2022; Service Description is Microslide Consult; Statement Date is 9/15/2022. I believe it is the wrong bill. Because I did not have and request such a service. I did not receive any result report for the service either. Also, from MyChart account on the Johns Hopkins webpage, there is no such record and I have never had any communication with the Provider ******, ****** MD. With my primary doctor’s referral, I made an appointment with Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Oncologist ******** ******* in March. Since the Oncologist is not in my ****************’s network, the appointment was canceled. Also, with my primary doctor’s referral, I had an annual mammograph at Advanced Radiology on 5/9/2022 and the report was forwarded to John’s Hopkins Hospital. I have not had any business with Johns Hopkins Hospital this year except a canceled doctor appointment and there is no reason to do a Microslide Consult for me, especially without any notice or communications. I request to void the bill.
