Sloppy work. They’ve been out 3 times. First time was because they were short drip edge on garage. They came back with 3 small pieces and put them up. Unacceptable-they came back and fixed. Shingles aren’t straight in many areas. They are jagged, some are over drip edge, some short on drip edge. Shingles aren’t tight. Many gaps along smart vent line and roof caps. Roof caps are wavy-not neat, straight and uniform. Drip edge in some areas is not tight with connected corners. There’s a slab of rubber extending over my back porch with a metal roof that I wanted removed and done professionally. They did not remove, instead they added something over it. They did not put a new furnace vent boot on. They said they don’t remove the stack-yet they did because they initially put thick black tar sloppily around the collar. It is not professionally wrapped with shingles. It looks horrible, and it’s a new stack. They used gas to remove the black tar-it looks terrible. There shouldn’t be any visible caulk! They minimized the back of the house and garage. “You can’t see it.” The valleys are not tight. They initially placed my old, bent rain diverter on top of new shingles with black tar. They fixed that. The whole job was slapped together. The ridge and smart vents were not properly nailed as the ridge vent in areas was sticking up. The smart vents were wavy-they threw more nails in but the shingles had stuck together when wavy, so now there’s gaps. Lines should be straight, not wavy and sloppy. That is why I paid 8000.00 cash. I am an older single lady-I know how that works. I’ve been taken advantage of before. I wanted a professional, correctly done roof as the previous job was shoddy. I want vents wrapped properly-no tar showing and ridge/smart vents reshingled straight, uniform and tight. No Caulk around vents-I want professionally wrapped with shingles. I’ll send pics via email

This silver vent the first time.  They came back, removed the sloppy black tar, and made it look worse.   They did not replace this boot.   They claim they don’t mess with it, BUT, it’s obvious they removed it, otherwise they wouldn’t have tarred around the collar.

Blue Line remodeling came to my house 8/25/23.  They gave 1 hour notice-I was not home but my brother was supposed to be.   He didn’t make it.   I called them 8/27, 8/28 and finally reached “******”.    (There was no VM set up on his cell phone, and no option for leaving a message at the office).   He doesn’t seem to understand my complaint.    He was referring to smart vents they put in because I don’t have soffits.   I requested those.   My issue is things were done sloppily.   Can someone other than from their company come and see my concerns?    The roof seems functional-but it isn’t neat like it should be when you pay a company specializing in roofs to do.    They don’t seem to get it.    You wouldn’t hire someone to put hardwood flooring in, and expect to see gaps and flaws.   It should be tight and uniform.    I expect the same with a roof.   If they refuse to make things right,  I will take it a step further and take to small claims court.
Also, when he came to my house with only an hours’ notice, I wasn’t home.  He stated he came and I would not talk to him.    Big difference.    There seems to be a language barrier.   Perhaps sending someone else, not from their company, who comprehends the English language well, would be beneficial.

After reviewing the 19 photographs. The customer asked us to use a certain material
and we installed the Deck Air -Intake Vent, as she requested 12 photos that the
customer complained, was with the material that she asked us to use, the appearance
turns out different than if we would use the standard material.
Reviewing the last seven photographs, we would like to return to the property and
    evaluate the work.
Blue Line is asking for the BBB to arrange an appointment with ****** ***** at anytime
or date. So, we may review her complaints.
I look forward to your reply so Blue Line can settle this complaint.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
I think we have a language barrier.    Yes I requested smart vents as I have no soffits.   They don’t seem to get I’m not happy with the sloppy install.   Things aren’t tight and straight, to include the roof caps on the house and garage.   There should not be sloppy caulk/tar around protrusions.   Vents should be wrapped neatly with any tar/caulk exposed.   They don’t seem to understand I paid for a professional job, which includes professional install-which is straight lines, no shingles with cuts/rips in them.   Would they like pics of professionally done roofs?   What they think should be acceptable is not acceptable.   Can someone neutral come out and listen to my concerns?   Instead of shutting me down and telling me things are good???
    Thank you.

I have several concerns regarding workmanship.    And again, the slab of underlayment on my metal porch.   Instead of removing what was there, they added another layer of underlayment on top of the shingles I wanted removed, that was done by the last roofer.    I never asked for that, nor do I want it on my metal porch roof.   I stated that when the estimate was done, and a professional roofer would have questioned it.   Blue Line said they added the 2nd layer that extends over and onto the attached metal porch for “added protection, so it wouldn’t leak between house and porch.

    Thank you
