My mother (****** *********) was hospitalized, and I keep receiving bills on her behalf for medications used while hospitalized. This bill should have been processed through her Medicare or her supplemental insurance. She has never had to pay full price for medications and never for any hospitalizations. I have no idea how Remedi got my address, email, and phone number but these were never my mother's address, email, or phone number and I am not responsible for her bills. This bill needs to be processed through her insurance.

This complaint is on behalf of my father who is on Medicaid and in an assisted living facility. His name is ***** ******** and he lives at ******* ******* **** **** ***** ******** ** *****. I am his POA. Remedi Senior Care began filling prescriptions for my father and sending the bill to me. Since he is on Medicaid, he cannot be billed for his prescriptions. I have spoken with the company on several occasions to try and explain this, and I first asked them to close his account and not send any more prescriptions to the facility in Feb 2024. In May 2024 I wrote them correspondence via snail mail asking them to close my dad's account and not send any more prescriptions. I received yet another bill this week (July 2024). For reference, my dad is in the hospital now so if they keep sending prescriptions, and billing, I will also document that. I asked why they send prescriptions without checking on billing first and was told over the phone that the company sends AND THEN bills, which is absurd. This company is preying on seniors, and in the case of my father, cognitively impaired seniors with no financial means. Again, my dad is on Medicaid and cannot be charged, and I request a letter from the company stating that his account is close and his bill is 0.00. Any company filling prescriptions should have the ability to check the patient's insurance before filling the script. This is unacceptable.

My mother lived in an Assisted Living facility. She received her prescriptions through Remedi. I, as her POA, instructed them that any over the counter medications were to go through me, because she gets those free from her insurance. Apparently, someone at the facility changed the orders I gave and she was being billed for over the counter meds. I moved her in with me on the morning of September 21, 2022. She got a bill for prescription medications as well as over the counter medications. I sent them a check for the prescription medications, but did not include the over the counter meds in my payment. I emailed them stating she will not be paying any more money to them. They have also billed her for medications that were supposedly given to her AFTER she moved out. I don’t know who received them, but she didn’t. Mom has paid all she is going to pay them. She got another bill from them for $73.11 stating it is past due. This amount includes medications for after she had moved out. I informed the assisted living facility of this and told them they can pay this bill, since someone there changed the orders as to not giving mom over the counter meds from Remedi. I have gotten no response from them.

My mother (now deceased) who was a resident at Oakleaf Village and was receiving medication provided by Remedi SeniorCare. Remedi filed a prescription for my mother which was not prescribed by her physician. It was prescribed by a ********* **** a Nurse Practitioner in ** ***** **. The prescription was ONGENTYS, used to treat Parkinson's disease, which she didn’t have. She was billed $606.05 and $345.27 (attached) on her November and December invoices total of $951.32. I spoke to customer service on two different occasions. The 1st conversation I was told that the charges would be taken off her bill, which did not happen. The 2nd conversation I was told by the customer representative that she would send this issue to quality control, I never heard back from anyone from this company. Someone made an error by filling this medication and no one wants to be held accountable for this error. As you can see from the attachments, I did make payments for both November $174.81 and December $179.37 which are for the medications that were prescribed by her physician. This issue is should have been resolved in December 2021.
