I initially made contact with Titan Concrete on May 5, 2022, requesting a quote for a 10x13 slab of stained concrete that would serve as the base for a greenhouse structure. I reached out again about the quote on May 12, 2022 after not hearing back from them. We were given a quote on June 1, 2022, and informed there was a 2 month wait on the project start time. I signed and returned the contract for excavation and removal of spoils, 10x13 slab of stained (dark brown) concrete for a greenhouse and sealant on June 1, 2022. Titan Concrete never came to the property before quoting and the picture of color options was very skewed (picture was of a very dark brown) but ultimately was a light brown color. I checked back in on September 2, 2022, after not hearing from them since June 1, 2022. We were told the start date was another 6 weeks out. They next reached out on October 17, 2022, notifying us it would be another week or two. After not hearing anything, again, I reached back out on December 7, 2022. They came to pour on December 12, 2022. We had to reach out to them again in April 2023, as they had still not been back to remove the forms or apply the sealant. They informed us they would be out on May 15, 2023, to remove forms and apply sealant. After expressing displeasure over the fact that there is a 10 inch drop from the back of the slab to the front and not usable to build a structure on and the color was many, many shades different than what had been shown, Titan Concrete came out on May 12, 2023, instead, with no notification, removed the forms and applied sealant with somewhere between 6-12 hours before it poured rain for two days (a well predicted storm event), instead of coming on the 15th when there would have been a stretch of several dry days. With no notification we were also given no opportunity to shield it from the water and now the slab is spotted from the diffusion damage done from applying sealant with an inadequate amount of dry time.

I explained to the ************s we were booked for the season but I would fit them towards the end of the year as the season winded down, or I had any cancellations. They stated that work for them, but needed it finished around spring.
They color options are bought through Ernest Concrete which is a concrete supplier Titan Concrete purchases the products from. The color chart they chose from states colors could vary in pigment. Titan did give multiple dates to start but weather delayed us from doing so, which is typical in my trade.
I explained to the ************s I wanted to leave forms in place and seal the concrete around spring when the weather was fair enough to apply sealer. You cannot apply sealer under 40 degrees. We returned to seal when the weather permitted and applied sealer. The sealer only need 30-45 minutes to set. Rain 5-6 hours later will not penetrate the sealer.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I would like to know the sealant product name/brand to check the accuracy of the dry time claim.  On average, concrete sealants take 3 days to fully cure and become waterproof and prevent the spotty discoloration.  There was also no mention of the 9" drop from the back to the front of the 10 x 13 slab that was meant to be the base of a structure.

    Sincerely,

    ******* ************
