I hired Stanley to install flooring in my home in several areas and trim in two of them. The work was sloppy at best, especially the trim. At one point I had to point out that a broken piece of flooring has been installed after his crew ignored it and kept going. After the job was “completed” I realized that he had told me to buy nearly twice as much flooring as I needed, $1600.00 worth . He apologized and said he didn’t know how it happened. I told him I would just return it. The evening he did the work I walked into one room to find a large portion of the flooring moving up and down and some of the trim work had not been done. The contract called for floor prep, clearly it was not done. I contacted Stanley, he admitted that he should have done it correctly and told me he would fix it the next day. He no showed twice. After the second no show he texted me and then claimed that the extra flooring should be his to keep in addition to nearly $4000 I already paid him. I told him that I purchased the flooring and that it belonged to me. Originally Stanley offered to pick the materials up but I had them delivered to my house. Had I not had the flooring in my garage I would not have known how much was left. I found this very strange. Stanley agreed to come fix the area again and again did not show up citing family issues. I confronted him via text concerning the work that was done, not fixing it-and how I felt about him trying to keep the extra flooring. He admitted to me via text that he over charged me and that everyone does it. I offered to accept a partial refund which he rejected. I told him that I would have the job fixed by someone else and that I would file suit against him for the cost incurred in doing so. At one point Stanley called me irate swearing and name calling. I would not hire this company to do anything. The fact that he over measured the materials needed, offered to pick them up and then tried to keep them is suspicions.

0 stars. First, I originally contracted with another company who apparently sold the job to these guys. When I realized who they were, I originally said no way because he didn't finish a previous job I hired him for. But he gave me the bleeding heart story and like I sucker, I caved and said ok. Provided a contract for work. Was told it would be done on a certain day. Paid half down. 5 days later they showed up and did MAYBE 6 hours of work. Wasn't even all adults... at least 3 underage kids. They ruined my flower beds by weed wacking all the perrineals I had when I asked for only hosta to be removed. They kept promising different days they'd be back and have things done and never showed up. I asked for a refund numerous times. Offered to pay enough for the day they were here and have the remainder refunded. Still have received nothing back. Tried to request a refund thru the method used to pay even and no dice. Just a real piece of work who constantly lied when all he had to do was either do the job or give my money back. I'm out over $2800. Do not recommend. Hire at your own risk!
