    Issue/complaint to the company occurred on date of delivery- August 9th 2024. I originally placed an order for a 12x20 shed in Nov 2023 from Steel City Sheds. Due to an unexpected and very extensive permit process that was required by the city I reside in I had to delay the build and delivery of my shed. The company was fully aware of my situation and did not have any problems with it because I had already paid them $5000 in cash and they were shutting down for winter anyway. During this time I did increase the size of my shed build to 12x24 and had picked out specific shed color and trim colors. My permit was finally approved and after a few weeks of trying to contact the company, I finally got a response and they confirmed my order and stated they would start my build. The shed was delivered on Aug 9th 2024. When the shed was delivered, the delivery man drug it by one side, 500ft across my yard and up a hill to get it into place. He laser leveled it on site. He also did check to make sure the doors were opening correctly and noted that the man door was not and it kept jamming and could not lock due to misalignment. Also noted that the trim paint was not the color I requested and was also missing on some of the trim pieces. In addition to those 2 issues the track on which the garage door slid on had a huge jagged chunk cut out where youd lock the door - those channels have pre cut holes so why they didnt install/align them correctly does not make sense. I called Steel City Sheds with the delivery guy present (who confirmed the valid issues with them) and they stated they would have someone come out in a week or two and repair the problems. After **** trying to get a hold of someone in the company to figure out why they had not been out to do the repairs they agreed upon I was now met with them saying I could pay them to come back out and fix the problems and then they blocked me! I have text messages correspondence of our communication as well and photos.

    The customer is responsible for leveling of the building we do not come back out months later to relevel the building when we delivered we have a paper signed that everything is correct and satisfied we went 6 months before we heard from the customer that the color was wrong and building needed releveled we explained that we painted it to the color she purchased and releveling is the customers responsibility after many texts calls and nasty messages in ******** she was blocked we do everything we can to help our customers even when we are not at fault but after months of no communication we can't just jump up and run back out to someone's house to fix something we aren't responsible for

    The customer is responsible for leveling of the building - THE *** FOR THE SHED WAS LEVEL PRIOR TO DELIVERY AND THE DELIVERY MAN MADE SURE THE SHED WAS PLACED LEVEL ON THE ***. we do not come back out months later to relevel the building - I NEVER ASKED YOU TO RELEVEL THE SHED, IT WAS LEVEL UPON PLACEMENT. when we delivered we have a paper signed that everything is correct and satisfied - THE PAPERWORK WAS SIGNED ONLY AFTER CONTACTING YOUR COMPANY REGARDING THE 3 PROBLEMS THAT WERE PRESENT AT TIME OF DELIVERY WHILE THE DELIVERY MAN WAS ONSITE, YOUR DELIVERY MAN NOT ONLY CONFIRMED THE ISSUES WITH YOUR COMPANY HE WAS PRESENT AND WITNESS THE CONVERSATION, I WAS ASSURED THE ISSUES WOULD BE FIXED HENCE WHY I PAYED THE REMAINING BALANCE. we went 6 months before we heard from the customer that the color was wrong and building needed releveled we explained  - THIS IS BLATANT LIE, THE PROBLEMS WERE REPORTED THE DAY OF DELIVERY WHILE THE DELIVERY MAN WAS ONSITE, TRIM COLOR WAS TO BE STAINED, THEY DECIDED TO PAINT IT INSTEAD, I EVEN ASKED IF THEY COULD PROVIDE ME THE COLOR AND I WOULD PURCHASE THE PAINT AND DO IT MYSELF - ALL OF THIS CORRESPONDENCE IS IN TEXT MESSAGES FROM DATE OF DELIVERY ON, TO MULTIPLE CONTACTS WITHIN THE COMPANY, THEY DID NOT RESPOND IN TIMELY MANNER, I HAVE PROOF.  we painted it to the color she purchased - AGAIN BLATANT LIE, and releveling is the customers responsibility after many texts calls and nasty messages - THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NASTY AND TOOK NO ACCOUNTABILITY. in ******** she was blocked we do everything we can to help our customers even when we are not at fault but after months of no communication - AGAIN BLATANT LIE I HAVE ALL CORRESPONDENCE AND CAN PULL ALL MY PHONE RECORDS OF CALLING THEM WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE. we can't just jump up and run back out to someone's house to fix something we aren't responsible for 

    YOU ARE 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIRING YOUR FAULTY PRODUCTS AS YOU AGREED TO WHEN I CONTACTED YOUR COMPANY ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY WITH YOUR DELIVERY MAN PRESENT AND IN AGREEMENT TO THE PROBLEMS AND WITNESS TO YOUR EMPLOYEE AGREEING TO SEND SOMEONE OUT TO FIX THE PROBLEMS

    A. THE MAN DOOR NEVER ALIGNED CORRECTLY EVEN AFTER YOUR DELIVERY MAN INSURED THE SHED WAS LEVEL. THE LOCK AND K*** DIDNT EVEN LINE UP 

    B. MISSING AND INCORRECT TRIM COLOR - I WAS WILLING TO ACCEPT THAT YOU PAINTED IT INSTEAD OF STAINED AND EVEN REQUESTED THE COLOR YOU USED, IT WAS NEVER PROVIDED 

    C. THE HUGE CHUNK OF METAL CUT OUT FOR GARAGE TRACK TO LOCK - THIS ISSUE IS A COMPLETE LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL ON YOUR EMPLOYEES PART.  THE TRACK DIDNT LINE UP SO THEY JUST CUT A JAGGED HOLE TO RIG IT SO IT WOULD LOCK - LAZY SUBPAR WORKMANSHIP 

    THE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND INTEGRITY OF THIS COMPANY IS ASTOUNDING. THE **** THAT THEY TAKE NO ACCOUNTABLY FOR THE PROBLEMS THAT WERE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY EVEN AFTER THEY WERE MADE AWARE WHILE THE DELIVERY MAN WAS PRESENT AND BEFORE FINAL PAYMENT WAS MADE IS HORRIBLE.

    We can only give you what you paid for you didn't pay for stained trim you picked out colors off of a color chart for paint not stain were not gonna keep going back and forth with you we offered to send out some touch up paint and you just wanted to keep arguing and insisting we painted it the wrong colors we have paperwork we go off of and painted it to exactly the specs your purchased

    I ordered a shed with a loft which i have text messages showing i specifically ordered with a loft not just loft style. When i brought it up to the company they told me its in effect too far and to just put it in myself. after paying almost $2000 i would expect them to honor what i requested and they quoted. I have documentation of what i asked for and at no time while i was paying was i told i would not have a loft. They will not respond to messages and have blocked me on social media,

    The customer did not pay the 200 for the loft at the time of purchase after delivery they called and wanted us to come out and install it and i told them they would have to now pay more because its almost 2 hrs away the service tech would have to dribe out there if they would like to pay the 200 for the loft i will send out the service tech for free

    On September 2, 2023, we ordered a 12x20 shed from Steel City Sheds in Warren, OH via Facebook Messenger. We added a second set of doors for an additional cost of $250. For paying the deposit the same day that we were discussing the order, they said they'd throw in a ramp. We paid the deposit via Venmo to Jonathan ******, the owner. The shed was delivered September 20, 2023 around 7pm. It arrived without the second set of doors we paid for and no ramp. We asked the delivery man about both and his response was "I'm just the driver; you'll need to contact the office". This is where the lack of response from Steel City Sheds begins. In Sept, we had to call, text, and Facebook message several times before we were answered and told we have to wait until spring for a service call. We waited patiently until spring. But then calls upon calls and messaging attempts starting in June through now have got us nowhere. They answer 10% of the time and when they do it's with "the owner handles all the service scheduling but we'll leave him a note". We've never heard back from the owner, Jonathan, despite being given his direct number at one point. We've called the owner many times and it goes straight to voicemail, but the voicemail box is full. Like other reviewers have stated on this BBB site, I'm also now officially blocked by their Facebook page, likely since I left a comment asking to schedule us in. I did not use foul language to warrant them blocking me. Within one minute I got the attached Facebook message. Not sure why would they block me for any reason other than to break all points of contact with me. I'm pretty sure the owner & manager Denny ***** blocked my phone as well as texts aren't read (used to be able to see read receipts) and calls half ring once then go to VM. We need the 2nd set of doors for our tractor to fit inside which is the entire purpose we got the shed. We are just asking them to either come put the doors in or refund us the $250.

    We would accept Steel City to come out and put in the doors and bring the ramp we are owed, but as you can see they did not provide a way to contact them which is the main reason for our complaint. They perhaps could unblock us from their Facebook page which is how we originally communicated the order, or respond to one of our many texts or call us back.  Attached you will see proof that we clearly ordered the extra set of doors upfront, then placed and put our down payment on the order, not the other way around as Steel City claims in their response today here. Also in the conversation you can see Jordan reached out the evening of delivery to ask why the doors weren't included on the shed and they admitted it was missed on their end. I'm very unclear what they are referring to in how we "insisted on making things difficult". Asking for something we already paid for shouldn't be viewed as being difficult. We only made 2 posts on Facebook - I commented on Steel City Sheds' post asking how to get in contact with someone after having no luck via phone or text, and Jordan posted on a Warren neighborhood page asking if anyone else knows how to get a hold of the businessafter we got blocked from their business page. Asking they contact us to come out asap as we have waited almost a year for the doors.

    I ordered a deck from Steel City Sheds that was supposed to be delivered in 2-4 weeks. After the 4th week I contacted them and they said because I live in ******* they don't have anything else coming out this way so when they can put another order with ours they will deliver. They could not give me a delivery date. The person ***** that I spoke with didn't like the fact that I didn't want to accept his answer and got belligerent with me and said never mind I canceled your deck. I still have not received a refund for my deposit. I saw another add for decks that were on ******** for rent to own decks by ******. I ordered another one from him and after the order I found out it is from the same company, Steel City Sheds. I asked him about delivery to ******* and he said it's no problem, they do it all the time. He once again told me 2-4 weeks delivery. After the 4th week still no deck, then when ****** respo ded it is now 4-6 weeks for delivery. After 6 weeks, still no deck. Sunday we received a text message from **** saying they are going g to deliver Tuesday. We started asking questions about leveling the spot and where to put the bricks under it and his answered were vague. I still did not understand where I should put the bricks to make sure my spot was level. He was rude and his comments were demeaning. I slept on it overnight and decided to just cancel the second deck. I asked for both of my refund ds and the owner was still very rude and declined to refund the deposits.

    Every single thing in your review is a lie I spoke with your wife till almost midnight last night explaining the process and how delivery works she informed me I'm running the business all wrong and should provide free leveling and do spot checks of all property's the day ahead of delivery so I told her if she is unhappy with the delivery process we will cancel the order and move on which she didn't want to do so we agreed upon delivery tomorrow and moved on that's when you decided you were In charge and we were gonna do whatever you say because your the customer we have a no refund policy on all orders if youd like to prepare a level spot and have the deck delivered well be more that happy if not the we will have to cancel the order and move on to the next customer just because we don't do what you want doesn't male us rude or bad customer service you have to prepare a spot just like every other customer we deliver to unfortunately you were unwilling to do that

    What this owner is saying is a complete lie.  He talked to my wife until approximately 7 :30 pm.  His answers were very vague until the end about how the area should be leveled and reafied for the deck.  I will not do business with a company where the owner is rude and argumentative.  I want refunds for both decks and that's the only resolution I will accept.

    I did rent to own on one of their buildings in Sept last year. Ceiling started to leak several spots ruining our insulation, contacted company with multiple texts, emails, calls and all saved, the building has a leak and is very low quality. I was supposed to be on a waiting list for them to fix, here is **** and still no word. So I stopped paying for the building unless it's fixed. Tried messaging and leaving a message on their ******** page and they blocked me.

    The customer put insulation up and put holes in the osb and siding we do not repair stuff that was done by the customer months after building was delivered and was in perfect condition regardless if your making payments on it or not it's in the contract your not allowed to alter the building In anyway which you voided

    Entered by BBB staff LO Consumer ordered a shed on 3/25/24 and paid a deposit of $683.00. He was told it would take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for the completion of building. The consumer never heard back so he called the business today to see what was going on with his shed the representative began using profanity. The consumer asked the representative if they'd be able to build the shed and a time frame and the representative continued to use profanity. The consumer asked for his money back and was told they are not paying the deposit back.

    Customer was very rude to 2 different salesman all he would do is scream and tell us to shut up we made him aware of the 25% cancelation fee that I added a picture of above signed by him we are still in time frame and have offered to deliver now twice even offered to wait another week as he still isn't even ready for it we are more than happy to provide him with the building he purchased but if he would like to cancel the 5% cancelation fee will be enforced

    WEEKS BEFORE Nov 14 2023 I SEEN A AD ON ******** OF A COMPANY AVERTISING A SHED THAT I LIKED AND I TOLD THEM WHAT I WANTED IN SIZE AND DOOR WITH LIKE I DID WITH SEVERAL OTHER SHED COMPANIES. I WAS CONTACTED BY THE COMPANY BY MESSENGER AND TALKED TO THE GENTLEMEN AND WE DISCUSSED THE ***** AND SIZE AND WHAT I WAS USING THE SHED FOR AND I NEEDED THE DOOR OPENING TO BE 8FT. WIDE AND 7FT. TALL. HE TOLD ME ME IT WOULD HAVE TO BE A ROLL UP DOOR INSTEAD OF DOUBLE DOORS.WE ALSO TALKED OVER THE ****** ON THE NOV 15TH 2023 I PAID ****** DOWN.     The customer purchased a building that was onsale for **** with a set of 6x6 double doors he did not pay for a garage door that's thy no garage door was ever put on his building we offered to come install the door for a fee and that wasn't good enough either so we're at a lose we fulfilled the contract which was signed by the customer we can't give people 750 dollar doors they didn't pay for

    There was no offer to me to install a door from the company. The only comment was made by the driver that a roll up door could be done fir 500 dollars and he got in his truck and left.when I contacted the company to complain about the door he didn't mention any offer of a door. To set the record straight I didn't expect to not pay a little extra for a roll up door. All he had to do is tell me how much more it would cost. He knew I needed a door 8wide 7 tall. I'm open to a reasonable offer. I think you can install the door for what the driver told us that was there when he drop it off. Let me know I want to solve this

    On April 3 2023 I ordered a shed with Steel City Sheds. I paid deposit via Venom as requested. I was told my shed would be complete and delivered 4 weeks or less. When the 4 weeks expired I reached out acquiring about the shed. They told me the lost a delivery driver and would reach out very soon. After 2 more weeks passed I reached out again with the response of it will be delivered soon someone will be reaching out. After those two weeks passed I seen a post on ******** where someone had a bad experience and I expressed my concerns of beings scammed. Steel City Sheds then reached out to say they will. It be building shed and will be sending a refund. I did receive a partial refund. When I asked about the rest of the money I was told that since I left a bad review on a paid advertisement they would not be giving me the rest and we're paying the person who sold the shed to me instead. I have pictures of all these messages.
