On Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, Formica was contacted by me to look at our driveway drain that has been backing up and needed cleared out using a high powered jet. We had this work done a few years ago and so were familiar with the procedure. Formica came out that same day and said they were able to complete the work at that time. I agreed, by phone, to have them use a camera and high pressured jet to clear the driveway drain, which runs out to the street. The work was completed and paid for by my wife, who was present at the house. The plumber informed my wife, as well as me by phone, that the work has been done, that the draining should be improved because they removed some debris from the drain, and that they recommend additional clearing of a nearby downspout if we wanted to pay for additional improvement. Both plumbers on site communicated well and were very nice. Following their work, it has rained several times and the drain is still holding water and flooding, similar to how it was before they did any work. Any improvement is minor and not very noticeable. I reached out to the business to let them know on 12/17/24 and was told a supervisor would call me back. On 12/18/24, John called me just before 4pm and we discussed the issues. I asked for them to return to clear the drain out to the street with the jet, as we had witnessed other plumbers do, and he declined and offered to do the rest of the driveway to the street and the downspout for an additional cost of $500. For the original $559, we would like to see the jets clear the full drain, as we was the original agreement. Note: nothing was said about separate basins or additional costs for a full driveway clearout in the original phone call when the work was agreed to.

Formica Plumbing and Sewer located at 1445 E 289th St, Wickliffe, OH 44092 is scamming me with the service work they performed on the home's pipes. They stated that if they replace the entire sewer system's pipes and dug up my yard, that there would be no water in my basement and that there would be no more issues with my downspout or leakage. They did not reconnect the downspout right away until I was extremely persistent and told them I was filing complaints. Then, they did not place enough backfill dirt on the yard that they dug up and I had a huge sink hole. Until I was extremely persistent and told them I was filing complaints, they did not fix it for more than a week. Then, the scam is that I still had water in the basement and they are asking for additional money to properly fix it and keep telling me that they never intended to fix it with the work they did even though the paperwork and the verbal agreements were to fix the problem of clogged pipes completely. This has been a real scam and a complete bait and switch of events and charges. I have disputed with the credit card company and think this company needs to refund all my money. They are totally going back on what they were supposed to do - No customer would ever invest and pay 9000 dollars not to have a complete job. This is unacceptable and a total scam.

Formica Plumbing and Sewer Co. provided an estimate to ******** **** (copy of estimate attached) in the estimate it states that we will run the camera in storm sewer out to main to verify condition of sewer and locate clean out riser, also test storm sewer and verify flow when section of sewer was completed.  When the estimated work to replace section of storm sewer was completed, we did run the camera and found that there were further issues with the storm sewer, and just like it is stated on the estimate (~If sewer is in poor condition out to main, a quote for total sewer replacement including new trap and riser will be provided).  The issues we found was there was more tree roots in the sewer that we could not get the camera past, so we made attempts to call ******** **** and get approval to snake out the sewer which was not a part of the estimate, so we were unsuccessful in our attempts to get ahold of ******** **** and could not proceed without getting approval so an estimate for snaking was sent.  ******** had then reached out with issues of topsoil settling and discovered a downspout that came apart and wanted this fixed on 8/21 or 8/22 and it was handled as requested.  The estimate was again brought up to ******** **** and she was unhappy that there was more work that needed done and from this point was unresponsive to any calls or attempts by Formica Plumbing & Sewer Company.  ******** **** then requested that we come back and add additional topsoil after 2 consecutive days of flooding rains and requested we snake the sewer at no additional charge.  Even though none of this work was part of the estimate we proceeded with her requests and added topsoil for the third time and snaked out the storm sewer and found that there was more work that needed to be done like stated in the original estimate.  So additional estimate for this work has been provided to ******** **** and we feel that Formica Plumbing & Sewer Co. has gone above and beyond to resolve this matter and the estimated work was completed and we deserve the reversed charges of $4,438.43 be paid in full.  There is a limit of documents and size that can be attached so if any of the emails, pictures, phone calls, or any other information is need I can provide all upon request.
