They placed a dump in my driveway with out my knowledge on said placement. When it was removed. they drove over , cracked , and removed said rail road logs from original placement, the gravel contained by these has spilled out. They also snapped in half a property survey stake.

    Business response

    01/10/2023

Kerrigan installed a new roof for Ms. ********* on 11/23/22. Kerrigan reached out to Ms. ********* on 11/21/22 letting her know that we would be installing the roof that Wednesday and that the dump trailer would be dropped off the day prior so it was there first thing in the morning for the crew on Wednesday. We placed the dump trailer in her driveway like we do for every single job we complete. We had a phone call with her a few weeks after the job was completed and she was insisting that we should have put the dump trailer in the alley. We told her that would be ridiculous as the alley way is around 30 yards away from her house and we would not expect our crew to have to carry all the materials torn off the roof 30 yards to put in a dumpster.

In her complaint, she's also stating we drove over, cracked and removed the rail road logs from original placement. You can see from the before and after pictures we have attached that this is not the case. She also doesn't even have enough gravel to "contain". Either way, you can see in the after pictures that the gravel is still being contained.  You can also see in the before and after pictures that the property survey stake is in the same spot that it was before we did the job. Ms. ********* had requested $400 to replace this property stake which we told her we would not be giving her.

Kerrigan Roofing is a 4-5 million dollar roofing company and we try to go above and beyond to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied after a project is completed. Kerrigan completes over 300 jobs each year and this is the only complaint we had this past year.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. They Broke a property marker in half and left it  on the ground.  It was was paid for in regards to a boundary Issue and was surveyed in place.

    2. They Just re-hammered in the broken stake. In its alleged place. The steak that was broken is a full 1/2 foot shorter than the other 3. I PAID FOR THIS STAKE

    3. This stake is a semi perm marker, and included were the permeant metal ones in the ground.

    4. They Mark not only the property line but where the permeant marker is in the ground. In the picture they submitted was in December.  They were told and advised of this issue prior to their pictures.  Their Job was to be  on 11/18/2022. It was not completed until Nov 25, 2020.  To prove this point is there an address that I can send the  revised statement  for the completion of their work. Into you. In order to correct this I must pay the survey company to put the stake back in its proper place.

    5. Additionally I have been harassed by their team members prior to this. I have been called multiple times at hours that were not  9-5. I have been called at 8:30 and night on more than one occasion by *****. I have been called more than once a day; sometimes 3X a day. I can get a call log with the calls on it from sprint.

**** Called me an threatened to put a lean on my house. He was very nasty. He Refused to listen to me.  Even when I tried to  explain that I had not yet gotten to the bank because my refrigerator broke. They accused me of spending my insurance money on a new refrigerator instead of paying them for the roof..  As well as my dryer broke on Dec. 19/2022  They called  me on  December 27th.  I got Harassed by **** when I explained I had not been to the bank because I had my refrigerator broken on Christmas eve.  I also stated the dryer also broken  in my home.    ( I had made arrangements with their office person Belinda to pay them after the holidays and I also explained thatI could not just write a check as the funds were in my savings account.) Which to me meant after Jan 1, 2023.

I instead took the money out immediately on 12/28/2022 They were Paid the very next Day.

The refrigerator was purchased on October 18th  @ Appliance factory.  It broke on 12/25/2022.My Dryer broke on 12/18/2022. Incidentally the dryer and the refrigerator was purchased before I received insurance company re-imbursement for claims arising from my roof. I did not receive reimbursement for the recoverable depreciation from usaa until Dec. 22,2022

    Phone calls were as follows  12/27/22 @ 9:12 a.m.  12/20/2022 @ 1 pm  12/6/2022 @ 3:39   10/13/2022 @ 3:45 p.m. On 2 occasionsI was called at 8:30 p.m.

The issue was I did not receive recoverable deprecation, yet from the insurance company.  (additionally I can contact my insurance company and prove this. Because of said harassment I requested them not to come to my house at all for any reason.  I requested police assistance for harassment. I  was told that if they come back I should call the police department and they would be removed from property.

    6. ***** came sometime in  December when I was on my way out  way out leaving for a doctors appointment. I returned home later that day to find that the railroad ties that were uprooted from the ground where replaced. and placed back in with their rebar. The broken property stake was hammered into the ground.

( I seen the dump removed and they drove over the property stake and the rail road ties were  unpinned from the ground. )(Additionally I was behind my house with my daughter watching them)  They blocked the whole street with their truck . This dump truck was  removed when it was getting  dark out.  As well as they placed this truck w/o my knowledge on day between 3-5 pm.. I left at 3 and come home to this truck in my only drive way for my car.

Further more their Original contract was also signed in October 4, 2022. They took a deposit at that time. The check for that was cashed a $ 2,000.00 on or about 10/21/2022.(date when it cleared the bank account) When they revised/amended this contract the completion date was 11/18/2022 They did not honor or uphold this contract. The roof was not installed until the following week on or about 11/28/2022

I am concerned about the shingles not being covered by the manufacturers warrantee as  when they began this roof it was  below 35%.

I respectfully request time to  collect and gather the pictures I have, call logs etc. May I have  some time so I can  submit this information via us post office.

    Sincerely,

    *** *********
