The bill was ridiculously overpriced and had things that were never explained to me as to why they were on the bill. I filed a dispute in which it took months to get anyone to even try to help, I still was not helped and told it is correct with no call back or explanation. I was given signed and dated paper work that I would not be sent to collections yet received calls and a letter from a debt collector dated before I was given a resolution to my dispute. I called to let them know this and it took speaking to someone's boss before they called me back and left a voice mail saying they would contact the debt collector and resolve it. 2 weeks later the debt collector has no clue what I'm talking about so I call the risk manager again and she informs me they must of forgotten. She let me know she would have someone look into it and if I don't receive a call within 5 days to call her, well 5 days later I call and no answer. I left a voice-mail it has been 2 more business days and no call back. Do I need legal representation at this point? I will submit a formal complaint with this and a Google review. It has been over 7 months of me primarily reaching out to resolve this fyi...

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2023/01/19) */ Will work with the consumer directly. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2023/01/20) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The business sent a generic response and has still yet to reach out in the matter. I would like a signed letter stating my bill has been taken back from the third party collection company, as it never should have in the first place. I've been in constant stress and anxiety after being told it would be handled. It still has not. After that I would finally like an explanation on my bill and why a place with Saint in their name feels the need to add charges that should not be there and why the prices are the way they are. I would like to then set up a payment plan once everything is correct.

I visited the ER on 12/23/2019 after cutting my finger cooking Christmas dinner. I did not receive a bill from the visit until the following year. I received a letter stating my claim had been declined due to it being filed as a workman's comp claim. I reached out to the hospital twice and was directed back to the insurance company, I contacted them December 2021 at that time they reached out to the hospital and were told the claim would be resubmitted with the proper coding. They also advised me not to pay the bill until it had been processed again. I received a letter from a collection agency yesterday. I phoned my insurance company this morning and was told it had never been resubmitted for payment. After being on hold to Ascension St. Johns for over 45 minutes this morning and never speaking to a representative I am reaching out to the BBB. The current bill does not reflect an accurate account because it has never been processed by insurance. We pay for insurance for a reason and the fact that the hospital coded my visit incorrectly should be on them. They have been impossible to work with and this is their mistake.
