    ***** I DONOT recommend Thunder Pools. We got lien put on us.I would not recommend the company Thunder Pools. We have had one lien put on us, and another pre-lien notice from a second subcontractor came in yesterday. Thunder pools eventually paid the first guy and has an excuse as to why he didn't pay the most recent subcontractor. But this is unacceptable.All during this project, we have to constantly call for answers and updates. They text and always say they are in a meeting and will call back. And we continue to have to bug them. This is a daily occurance because we keep getting the run around. They say someone will be there to do x,y,z and no one shows up. There is always an excuse as why things aren't happening. And it's never their fault, according to them.Regarding the pre-lien notice we just got, Thunder Pools has an excuse. Plus, ANOTHER sub who worked on the pool was in contact with us directly when he too hadn't been paid. My husband had to text, call, and at one point, host a three-way call to essentially facilitate this man getting paid.Regarding the pre-lien notice we just got, Thunder Pools has an excuse. Electrical is the only sub that we have not heard from about not being paid. But would not be surprised if we get a lien from them too.This statement of not recommending Thunder Pools is not based on opinion. These are all factual things that have happened.This is unacceptable and I fear how many others are being taken advantage of!

    We have had a warranty issue for months now with our new Thunder pool. When we are able to get a response from the office, it's always, "I can't get a response from the sub-contractor who did the work". Feel like once your pool is done you are on your own.

    The Project That Never Ends!Thunder Pools started our project September 9, 2023. They began immediately after we signed the contract and paid the first draw. Their progress was impressive & the job ****** repeatedly said it could be done in 4 -6 weeks. Things really slowed down after the first 2 weeks. October 23 (the day of a big celebration at our house with ************ attendance) and we had a mountain of dirt, & a raw concrete pool. Weeks went by with no one ever coming to the job site.December 30 we notified them that they removed (filled in) our automated water fill line WITHOUT even asking if we wanted it covered up. January 10th they came out and put on the preliminary pebble rock pool surface. January 30th they came out and put another coat on the pool cement. January 31 they put on the final Pebble Coat finish. February 1 water was being added. April 2024 update:Lights still are not done. We paid for a salt cell that is laying in **********. Several issues remain unresolved with the new Pentair equipment. Thunder is unresponsive to texts and phone calls.

    We contracted with Thunder Pools in April 2022 to build our pool, which was completed September 2022. Our pool was absolutely beautiful when it was initially completed. Unfortunately, we experienced substantial issues. The responses we have received from Thunder are unacceptable. We have tried unsuccessfully to work with ******* on resolving the on-going problems.Two weeks following the completion of the pool, we noticed that the deck had raised away from the pool. It took several calls and emails to get Thunder to come to our home and look at the issue. After we had to perform leak tests ourselves to prove there was a leak, pool was leaking 3/4 inch of water every day. Thunder finally brought in leak detection company. Thunder agreed that they are responsible for the leaks in the pool and are responsible for the repairs. Repairs started on June 6, 2023 and have not been completed as of July 24, 2023, pool is still leaking. We have been living without any pool deck for over a month mud, dirt, damage to yard, mess in the house, issues with dogs in and out, etc. For the past two weeks, we have been promised that they would be out to continue the repairs no calls, no shows.The significant delays and lack of communication is ridiculous. There have been too many deadlines missed, unreturned phone calls/text, no shows to promised meetings to not speak out. Our issues started during construction and have continued now for over a year. Overall, this process has been extremely frustrating, disappointing, and costly. We are missing primary pool time this summer. Thunder will also need to repair yard and replace sod/landscaping once all the repairs are completed. We cannot count the times we have adjusted our schedules to be here, and they have not shown up with no call. The unprofessionalism we have experienced is the worst part of the process. We have tried to be understanding and given Thunder too many chances.
