July, 2004 AC goes out. *** dispatched through American Home Shield. Two service calls, many calls and messages to ***. Many calls to AMP finally getting *** to clarify what the heck is going on. They need to replace the whole unit. They called for almost $6K in "modifications" to put the new unit it. AMP didn't have do do any modifications other than cut a PVC pipe to attach to the existing pipe. They didn't have to re-attach any ducts, run any new electrical or thermostat wires. They initially installed the inside unit upside down. Then AC wouldn't kick on but was blowing heat. Third try, they take the thermostat off the wall. Tell me that the problem was that the wires were crossed, making the heat come on. They tell me that "We'll take care of you for a year, one year warranty, just call us if there's any issue." Note- that they left their trash and screws in my garage floor. Unprofessional but is what it is.November We turn on our heat, and no heat. I call AMP, they tell me, despite what I was told, I have to go through *** and file a claim. So, I call AMS, they tell me I had 30 days to say if anything was wrong. I told them everything seemed fine but I didn't recheck the heat again after they left in 100 degree heat. So, for AMP to come back out I have to pay the service fee.Frustrated, I called a local HVAC tech. He comes out on 11/21/24. I tell him everything I have typed up here. He pulls everything, pulls the thermostat and guess what.... the wire for the heater wasn't even connected !!!!!! He felt so bad for us, he didn't charge us a *****! Took him about 30 min. AMP just pulled wires off, to either get another service call or just because they're dumb. Either way, very poor workmanship. How frustrating that I am expected to pay a service fee on a NEW HVAC system. NEW. Everything should be perfect.AMP Mechanical Inc Response

Failed to service on original installation after a new Daikin heat pump installed. Their tech said all was ok. I hired AirCo as the unit ran non stop. The root cause was overcharging of R-410A coolant!! I stopped payment with the lender to get reimbursed for the service call by *****. AMP paid. January 16 2024 we woke up to 56 in the house. Both of us in our 70s. AMP Mechanical was called they told me to turn on Emergency Heat! You dont do that with a brand new heat pump. It is to automatically sense the need to use Emergency Heat. They would not come out for 3 days. I called AirCo again. The unit had a bad panel for emergency heat. It was replaced at $475. I had to hire an attorney as their receipt for installation said 12 years parts and labor. Labor apply IF They do the labor, not another company. They paid $300 of the $475 and told the attorney to tell me dont ever call them again. I have AHS home warranty. I called last week for the free spring AC(Heat Pump) tune up. AHS assigned AMP mechanical. Today ******************** shows up. I called AHS to find out why AMP did not come. AMP requested that the service call be assigned to another provider. If I had know then what I know now. I never would have purchased a brand new beta pump from AMP Mechanical. I will gladly pay going forward to have my unit serviced Correctly in a prompt manner! Very unprofessional and unorganized. Some technicians are knowledgeable but some are not. They also try to do a hard sell on you to buy new units instead of repairing. If they make a mistake they will not take responsibility for the issue. The scheduling is unreliable - they forget to make your appointment and then won't make it right for you.Review from William B

Amp mechanical is or go to hvac business. Fast friendly and always provide top level service. We just installed a brand new system in our house in Oklahoma City. Amp installed and serviced our unit We are very happy.

We had our air conditioner check up and they discovered that we had a drain from the unit upstairs That was blocked. And quickly fix the problem I will call him every year for the check up...AMP Mechanical Inc Response

American Home Sheild works with this Scam Company! We replaced our a/c unit in August, and we were told to be looking for a rebate program information in October from our electric company that would pay for the unit. Nothing ever came. So, i kept calling AMP and leaving messages to call me back no one ever answered until December 2nd. They told me to call the electric company so i did. The electric company said that the rebate program ended in June and that AMP is not contracted through them so we would not receive a rebate anyways. First, they lied then they second when i called AMP back and they said we don't know much about rebate programs and that its past the 30 days after installation so they can't do anything and hung up on me. Now we are stuck with over $8000.00 in debt because of their lies!

thank you for reaching out, unfortunately we do not have any control over when the rebates expire or are avail as there are so many utility companies that give rebates, we always tell customers to inquire about them but it is the customers responsibility to reach out and apply for these rebates. customers can take advantage of any local rebates avail and AMP is not required to be contracted for them as many customers HAVE received these rebates when they were avail in 2022. we do not work at these companies directly so when rebates expire or run out of funds we have no control over thatReview from Susan P.

******** *********** (***) sent them to fix my Air Conditioning Unit because it wasn't cooling. In the Hottest Summer ever in Oklahoma, it took them 5 days to come out 7-10-22, which I understood because a lot of AC Units are failing. The 1st Tech said I needed 5lbs of Coolant and charged me $375 and I think they ripped me off because the coolant isn't the problem. Flipped gages to tried to convince me it was low, but never showed evidence. I told him the Condenser wouldn't turn off and he found that my contact switch was broken and told me they would be back in 2 weeks but my AC would still cool. Well it didn't cool at all. The Temp in my house averaged 86-92 degrees and outside was a sweltering 100 to 109 degrees. When I contacted their Customer Service Rep 'Amy', she actually told me that I needed to calm down...little did she know I was very professional and she really didn't want to se my bad side. How would she like to be sitting in a house for 2 weeks that was 86-92 degrees on a daily basis!!! I convinced them to come out the next day instead of 2 weeks and the 2nd tech installed the contact switch and said my unit was over-heating and unplugged it. He said his Supervisor would have to come out to determine why it was overheating. I called and texted for several days with no return phone call or text. Got *** involved and they finally got me an appt a week later with their AMP's Supervisor. He came out and said nothing was wrong with the unit and plugged it back in. It cooled for 1/2 a day and wouldn't cool again. I proceeded to call and text AMP to no avail. Three didn't people came out and NEVER fixed the problem. Got *** to assign someone else who I've never heard of. Don't EVER use AMP...they won't fix your problem and they will NEVER call you back if your issue isn't resolved the first time. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with and the worst Customer Service I've dealt with.
