This is the 2nd time I've filed a complaint as the 1st one disappeared. A person from this company called and left me a voicemail saying that my driver's license was in jeopardy and I had a possible warrant. They told me they were working for the police department in McCurtain, Oklahoma. I called them back and they made no sense whatsoever. She asked me for my personal information which I would not give her. She could not give me a warrant number or any sort of charge against me. She told me that she was working for the police department. She got very angry when I would not give her personal information. I hung up and called the McCurtain, OK police department. They told me no one worked on behalf of them because they only had 1 police officer and and I was talking to him. There are no warrants against my driver's license. I have no outstanding violations. I live in Washington and work in New York and I've never even been to McCurtain, Oklahoma. I sent the officer a copy of the voicemail she left me saying that my driver's license was in jeopardy and asked him to please call her and straighten it out. I'm sure he did. But when I look here this lying company has an a plus rating with no record of any complaints. I find that hard to believe given the fact they tried to scam me. This company does not work for the police department. It is a debt collection agency which misrepresents itself in order to scam people out of money.

    Business response

    12/29/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/20) */ WE DO CONTRACT TO TOWNS AND CITYS IN OKLAHOMA, I DONT NOT SHOW HER EVEN IN OUR SYSTEM IS HER FINE IN ANOTHER NAME? IM MORE THAN HAPPY TO SPEAK TO HER IF SHE IS IN OUR SYSTEMS THE TOWN MAY HAVE SUSPENDED HER DL ALL SHE NEED TO DO IS CALL THE DMV TO SEE. THIS COMPANY IS NOT A SCAM CHECK FACTS FIRST... Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/09/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I refuse to accept they're denying the nasty phone call and voicemail they left me. They do not work for the town of McCurtain, Oklahoma according to the one police officer which McCurtain Oklahoma employees. I have a locked voicemail which this woman left me telling me I have a possible warrant and my driver's license is in jeopardy. I have no driver's license issues at all. There are no warrants for my arrest against my driver's license or anything else. I've never even been to McCurtain, Oklahoma. I challenge this company to prove they work on behalf of the town of McCurtain, Oklahoma as she stated in her voicemail to me and on the phone conversation that I had with her. She does not work for them in any capacity. I suspect she has done this multiple times with multiple persons in her attempt to either collect a debt or to obtain money from persons for which she has no formal right to do so. You cannot say you work for a police department when you in fact do not as that is illegal. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/09/27) */ WE ARE NOT LYING WE WORK FOR TOWN OF MCCURTAIN SHE CAN CONTACT THEM XXX-XXX-XXXX SHE DOES HAVE A WARRANT WITH THEM WE ARE HERE HELP HER BE ABLE TO MAKE PAYMENTS SO IF SHE DOES NOT TRUST US SHE CAN CALL THEM DIRECTLY AT THE NUMBER ABOVE Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/09/28) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They called me yesterday at the number they left me the voicemail on before. We determined the person in question is someone born in 1998. Since I am 61 years old they have the wrong person. I suggest she take her own advice and check facts first. I have never even been to McCurtain Oklahoma. There is nothing against my license as I am a Medical contractor who does government jobs and my background is checked. thoroughly every 30 days. I do not wish any further contact from this business now or in the future.
