On March 21 I walked into lux nail and spa to have a full set of nails done. I explained what I wanted and they said they would put me with someone that knew how to do the solar ac. During the process I was cut with a file 2x and had to explain that it was hurting several times. I spent almost 2 hours getting my nails done. They still charged me 100 dollars for my service. On March 25 i went back inand showed the manager/owner that the nails were already popping off, cracking, and coming apart at the bottom of the cuticle. She agreed that they needed To be fixed so I ask for my money back so I could go get them redone someplace where they knew how to do what I wanted She refused and said they don't do refunds. I ask her how she planned to fix this and she had no reply to me. I even ask her to call the police out that I did not want to leave without my money. Again she refused. I left that store with the situation not resolved. I have paid 100 dollars to have nails for 4 days. I would like to have my money back, I think it's only fair solution, no one in that shop will touch my hands again.

My daughter and I went to get pedicures today, July 2, 2022. We went to use our gift card that we received at Christmas from my mother in law. We were told that the two gift cards we had, totaling $105, were no longer valid as they expired 6 months from the date of issue. I told them that gift cards should not expire. They said they would give me a 10% discount and ended up taking $50 off my total bill of $110. Is there not a federal law that prohibits the expiration of gift cards issued from business for 5 years although they can start depreciating after 1 year. Under the law they should owe me the remainder left on the cards after the credit they “gave” me. It should also be enforced that they don’t continue to do the same to other customers.
