My name is ******************************, My father ******************************* passed away 09-14-2022 and left me his **** GMC ****** ****. He purchased this truck brand new in ****, Due to health issues my father never got around to fix up this truck. I walked in JOPAC Industries on October 17th and spoke with ***************, the owner. I began telling him exactly what I wanted done to the truck, including the exact brands I wanted to go with. I requested a full brake job with ALL new components and suspension lowering kit. He immediately took my $3,000 deposit. Approximately, 1 month passed before reaching out and trying to find when the truck will get the work done on it. He tells me theyre waiting on 2 boxes to arrive and he will call me. 3 weeks pass, I follow up again and he tells me the brake shop hasnt shipped out the calipers. I decided to do my own investigation and reached out directly to the manufacturer of the brake kit and found out he has NOT ordered a single part from them. I quickly called the owner and call him out on the situation. With no true explanation, he said, he will order the parts. He then, decided to go behind my back and ordered knock off parts to save money on his end. Once again, I verified this through the brake manufacturer. He performs the work on the truck and calls me to say the truck is done. I took the truck on a test drive, relying on his professionalism. I lost 80% of the brakes and barely got the truck to a safe stop. I called him and said, the brake pedal is very soft, this is NOT acceptable & safe. He took the truck back for 2 additional days to look into the issue. He reaches out & says, its completely normal. At this point, With great frustration. I lost all hopes in the integrity and morals for the shop owner. I pick up the truck and found out they lost the wheel lock key to the wheels. They took my truck around back of the shop and physically try to the beat the wheel locks out. All I'm asking is for them to make things right.

****** came into the shop 10/19/22 and spoke with a counter sales associate, ordering a suspension lowering kit, front and rear disc break conversion kit in addition to coating the chassis of the truck black to prevent more rust.  The parts were ordered, drop kit came in first and was installed on the vehicle. After waiting a while for the brake parts to show up, the rear conversion kit showed up like it should and was ready for installed.  After talking to the company that supplies the brake conversion parts we were able to get the part number for the front calipers and order directly from the manufacturer of the parts instead of LSMFG being the middle man. The exact same pads, rotors and calipers were installed that supply. The only difference is the supplier, there were no "knock off parts" installed on this truck, the only difference is the warehouse that they shipped out from.

Now, due to the excessive wait time on the parts, the shop was able to discount $******* off of the invoice for the inconvenience.

Also, ****** is correct that there was damage done to his wheels by an employee who was let go...  We were in the middle of working through this with the customer when he stopped communicating. He asked if we could pay the $600 it would cost to powdercoat the wheels and we agreed, then he stopped communicating. We would happily cover the cost to repair the wheels as agreed.

JOPAC Industires has since closed down but I would sill like to make things right with the guy if they would open a line of communication.

What has happened now is the assets from JOPAC have been sold and transferred to another business that the previous owners have moved away from and ******* and his family/friends have been leaving reviews on a business not related to whom they dealt with and it is frustrating for the folks who bought our assets and business.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I did NOT request a discount. The owner took it upon himself to take off money from the grand total. This was out of pure guilt, The only reason he did that was because he gave me the run around for almost 2 months & never ordered a single part. I walked in & requested a refund for my deposit. He said, He spent my deposit & did not have any money in his business account because he works project to project. He then, decided to order knock off parts after I requested a specific brand & company name. After the terrible brake job, that almost caused a severe accident. His shop technician then, Loses my wheel locks & destroys my wheels using a cast iron hammer & bolt extractor to remove the locks. He accepted liability for the damages, gave me his personal phone number & ghosted me. He stopped answering all calls & text message 12/12/22. He moved shops & changed business names. Thinking that will solve his bad business practices. What I need to resolve this issue is for him to pay the damages for destroying my wheels & reimbursement because I had to hire an actual qualified shop to fix what his shop neglected in the first place.

Discount was due to the situation, not guilt.
No brakes were ordered WHILE the other parts were on backorder.
He was told that a refund could be given when parts showed up and were returned. We spoke, offered the discount and mutually decided to continue.
The LS kit for rear use **** Cadillac rear brake calipers. They make the brackets for those to work with the truck.
The LS kit for the front uses FACTORY STYLE CALIPERS, what LS does is buy the calipers, the rotors then sells them as a kit. Due to the wait time, we used our wholesale accounts to find the same part numbers offered by LS and buy direct from the manufacturer. This is where the idea of knock off parts came from.
Someone in the shop DID damaged the wheels by trying to remove the lug nut without a key. The customer was texting us and we agreed to pay the $600 that he wanted to cover the cost of the damages. I have no notice or phone call saying WHAT was "wrong" or "faulty" on the brakes.
JAN 18th, the customer filed a chargeback on the card processor we used at the time. $1500 was taken from the the bank account and I'm assuming returned. The claim that I changed business names and moved shops to run away is FALSE. We were located in OKC but due to city rezoning and economy made more sense to close. The business was dormant for a while until a deal was worked with a friend to take over assets and equipment. This process of leaving the business has allowed me to pursue other endeavors while also being able to advise and contribute to their new business when asked.
This customer has been leaving reviews on a ****** page for a business that has nothing to do with people he feels have wronged him. For the serenity and peace for my friends and their family, I would graciously ask that those negative reviews be removed from that business profile and just dealt with here.
I tried to call ************ and ************ to talk about this but there is no answer.

Please let me know how to proceed.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    Sincerely,

    ******************************

The best way to proceed is for the owner of JOPAC Industries to repair or replace my damaged wheels & reimburse me for what I have spent to get the vehicle safely drivable. Lets not forget this neglect was done by the shop technician, when the vehicle was in JOPAC industries care. I asked the owner to give me his shop insurance, because I knew he didnt have spare funds for situations like this & he refused. Also, An extremely soft brake pedal is NOT normal on what are supposedly brand new brakes. The vehicle was claimed to be test driven & it was likely only test driven several hundred feet to be taken out of the shop & parked. Losing brakes on the highway during traffic hour with both of my kids could have ended in severe tragedy. The front brakes were NOT ordered through the manufacturer & that was confirmed through Little Shop manufacturing. He attempted to pull a fast one & failed. The owner thought I wouldnt conduct my own investigation & reach out to the company. The front brakes were ordered from a 3rd party company & that is *NOT* what I requested. I will NOT remove any reviews from ****** until you do what is right. Once again, What is right is for you repair or replace my wheels & reimburse me for what I have spent due to YOUR shops neglect. I did answer your phone call & you were extremely rude & disrespectful.

A dispute in the amount of $1500 with *************** was filed on December 12th, 2022. The same day, Dusty stopped answering me. However, He was quick to answer my bank. My bank reached out & told me that the owner answered & said, ************* services to customers satisfaction. Which is an ABSOLUTE lie. He claims that money was taken out of his bank account due to the dispute but that is NOT the case because he continues to tell them a whole another story.  As of 03/03/23 his story remains the same according to ****
