On 3/25/2024, Terracom allowed an over the phone ***** to set up an account in my name, without any verification and steal my *** credit that was being used with *** Communications internet service. Once Terracom entered my information with ***, I was immediately cutoff from *** and billed $50. Since the *** program is only funded through April 2024, no one is accepting new applications and I have totally lost the credit. I phoned Terracom on 4/1/2024, spoke to ******* and explained that I was not the one who called and that I did NOT want to use any of Terracom's services. He informed me that a cancel request would be sent, and I would receive an email stating that in fact the bogus account was cancelled. I have not received that email. *** will not reinstate the credit. My actual cell provider, MetroPCS has also, closed applications to the program. I have contacted and filed a report at identitytheft.gov.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. You are free to transfer your ACP services back to the previous provider. A consent form was provided when the services were transferred to TerraCom **** Enrollment information was provided by someone which caused the transfer. If we deactivate your service, you will no longer be able to transfer to your previous provider. Please initiate a transfer back to your previous provider. We are unable to approve a refund for the amount due to the previous provider. If you choose, we can deactivate your services please let us know which you would prefer.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because NONE of it is true.

*** Cable says that once the *** was transferred, they can no longer reinstate it and new applications are closed. My current wireless provider Metro PCS has also close enrollment.

A consent form was NOT provided to ME because I NEVER spoke to them about their service and their **** ******* told me the switch was made over the phone, not in person.

Enrollment was made internally to get *** money. I believe my information was from the AT &T data breach.

I ask ******* on 4/1/2024 to stop activation on this bogus account. I requested a letter of cancellation but never received it. I asked how the service would be activated and he said a SIM chip would be mailed and as soon as I started using it, activation would start. A SIM chip was never received, so NO services were ever used.

I will never receive the $50 I lost, but I hope the government investigates this crooked company for identity theft.

    Sincerely,
