CAC Financial has been calling me claiming to be attempting to collect on a bill that was sent to collections. However, the sun that they indicate they are attempting to collect is not equal to the sum of any bill that I have owed. They initially refused to provide me with contact information for the company that supposedly sent the account to collections. When I contacted the provider that I actually saw (and paid In full), and asked them about my account, OU Health ( the provider I saw) confirmed I had a 0 balance on my account, that my account has not been sent to collections with them, and that they DO NOT USE CAC Financial to process Collections accounts. The company that CAC Financial claims sent me to collections, "Emergency Physicians of ************" furthermore has a reputation of sending false and fraudulent bills of people, as well as CAC Financials history of complaints for harassment and attempts to collect on fraudulent or false collections bills.Every single time I have spoken to anyone at CAC Financial they have directly and explicitly lied to attempt to manipulate me into paying them. First they said they had no contact with the provider and that I could not contact or pay the original provider. They claimed that "the bill had not reported to credit yet, and they are trying to get ahead of that." Then they falsely claimed that OU was responsible for the bill when they explicitly are not. They then falsely claimed that they had reported the bill to collections, which I have been vigilantly watching my credit report and it never has.This business is fraudulent, manipulative, and explicitly lying to try and strongarm vulnerable people into paying them money for no reason. I have repeatedly told them to stop calling me and that I will not be paying the bill as it is fraudulent, and they have continued to attempt to contact me.Business response

I had a missed call from CAC and so I called them back when I got home from work. I was told that I had two accounts that were delinquent. One of them I honestly didnt know about. I tried to set up a payment plan and the lady told me that I wasnt allowed to pay what I can afford, I had to pay the amount that she told me I had to pay and I had to pay it within six months. I asked to pay online and was told that I could not. There has been no prior communication from them to me about this debt.Business response

We have requested an itemized statement from our client and upon receipt we will mail the statements to Ms. ******** at the address we have on file. For online payments, we do allow accounts to be paid online. However, our payment portal does not have the abiHty to set up payment plans online. So I think that is where the confusion is.

I am rejecting this response because:
I called the next day and spoke to a different lady who said there was a note to contact me the next day to set up payments. When I told her the lady the day before told me I had to pay ****** every month and that she already took my card information she said it wasnt in there and that I could make payments online. Tell me why I made a ***** payment this morning because that is what I can afford and when I get home from work I notice that my account has in fact been debited the ****** plus the 50 that I paid this morning. Someone is lying and this is a real crappy way to do business. I planned on paying as much as I can every month, I could have saved the ***** at least for groceries.

I Received a call from CAC on 05.22.24 that I had two outstanding bills #******** $262.69 12/9/23 & #******** $238.38 1/24/24 for two medical facilities that I never went to. I have never received a bill, letter, or statement. I called ************, they never verified DOB, Address, SS#, Etc and they stated that BCBS of LA had paid ******* portions of the bills. I called BCBS of LA and they do not have me in their system. They told me to disregard. I called CAC back and they informed me that the debt was for ********** of ************** **** of ******* I told them I had no idea where that was even located. I called both of those Billing facilities and neither had my information nor the account numbers associated with the debt they are trying to collect. They informed me to disregard as well. The problem I have is that no one at CAC would give me a supervisor to speak to they just hung up the phone on me. I do not want this to hit my credit report. All parties I spoke to above believe this to be some sort of Money SCAM.Business response

We have had several phone calls with Kennedi *****. We show Ms, ***** also gave verbal permission to speak with her mother concerning the accounts. We can and would mail an itemized statement to the consumer if the consumer would provide a mailing address. We are showing that these accounts are not reporting to the credit bureaus currently.

I was contacted by CAC Financial and I have ALWAYS paid them when they call with bills that went into collections. I spoke to a man named Kirk twice when he called, the first time I could not submit a payment due to financial issues. He called again and we set up an agreement that I would pay $75/mo and they would not report my debt to the credit bureau. I found out today that after paying 3 payments so far that they indeed have reported it to the credit bureau which is a breach of contract. I guess I will have to change my card information since they screwed me over financially and screwed my credit too.Business response

The basis for my dispute CAC FINANCIAL CORP, Date: January 26, 2019, Account#: ********, Amount: *************************** , Date: October 26, 2020, Account#: ********, Amount: $608, ********************** , Date: January 26, 2021, Account#: ********, Amount: $694, - was required to notify me prior to 01/26/2019,10/26/2020 or no later than 30 days after. CAC FINANCIAL CORPfailed to notify me about reporting derogatory info. to Equifax, Experian, and Transunion In section 603(p) 15 U.S.C. ss 168s-2(a)(7)(A)(I); The notice required under subparagraph (A) shall be provided to the customer prior to, or no later than 30 days after 01/26/2019, furnishing the negative derogatory information to a consumer reporting agency described in section 603 (p), 15 U.S.C. ss 1681s-2(a)(7)(B)(I). Plus broke commercial law under UCC ***** that all notices were timely and properly given by dated certified mail receipt. They were not met. I asked for documentation & received no response. Also, CAC FINANCIAL CORP" failed to give me my ************** five days prior to placing this derogatory item on all of my credit reports, per Section *************** 809, which is $1000 per violation and the *********** allows treble damages.Under 809. Validations of date and Mini-******* under Section 807(1)CAC Financial Corp,**************** ****************, President failed to send me my initial communication before placing this alleged derogatory status on my credit reports further violating the ***** I understand that according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, failing to provide this notice can result in a penalty up to $2500 and can be enforced by the **** and that my state attorney general can also enforce this with a $1000 penalty as well.I attached a copy of the law and the actual document from the federal reserve CAC FINANCIAL CORPis held liable as well for defamation and in the *********** a creditor is who collects their on debt is considered a debt collector under FDCPA. ***** v. I had received in the mail a letter detailing an old (too old to litigate) physician bill. The letter told me that since the debt in question was too old, that admitted validity was unnecessary. (I also questioned the validity of the debt to begin with since because of extensive illness I have been on State insurance for well over 20 yrs.) Not soon after, I received a phone call telling me that this person(who talked very fast and ran her words together) was calling from an attorney s office.. and, "was I ready for my delivery?" I asked what delivery are you referring (I had been notified that I was part of a couple class action law suits prior to this call from CAC). She said, "I'm not sure, but most people are aware of these deliveries." I replied," Im still not sure who you are????" Then she hangs up...when I reverse look up the no, it came back to this company CAC Financial. NOW, out of nowhere, I have an $845 debt from this company showing up on my credit report. (Which I have disputed.) I believe this company is lying about who they are and representing themselves as attorneys with possible "deliveries" for people (especially those they know are part of any class action suits.), to get some kind of false acknowledgement that they owe these debts. Their practice is fraudulent, and they grossly misrepresent themselves for why they are calling. **"I have worked hard to improve my credit, and their working hard to decry that. On top of this.....this is a debt I am quite sure is not even valid, due to my having no knowledge of owing or even being at MWC hospital in over 20 YEARS!! AND, as I have previously stated I have had kidney disease and psoriatic arthritis for years that has caused me to need state funded insurance that pays 100% of any and all medical bills/debts. Please, help in investigating this practice. I certainly do not want any other people harmed by their lies and fraud. Can provide letters they were sending prior to this fraud call.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:************ is commiting fraud in order to "attempt" obtaining some kind of "recorded" acknowledgement about debts that are no longer subject to litigation to resolve. ************ is not taking any action to investigate why their employees would represent themselves as "attorneys" with a "delivery that you should already be aware of...", they should most certainly begin there. (In looking at the date of said debt, which claims it's from MWC physician's; I have not stepped foot, in a MWC hospital in over 20 YEARS, BUT it is also during the 20 year period that I have been medically insured through the Soonercare program ....which pays 100% of any and all my medical needs.)Why would any company allow their employees, possibly even train their employees to misrepresent themselves to obtain "liability", or in other words prevent plausible deniability through recorded conversations. Is it no coincidence that when the other party begins to ask questions or deny "their delivery", that the call is abruptly disconnected??
