This place is a trap. ******. I went to Mercy's hospital ER with an infected cheek caused by poor dentistry. I'm 75 and aware that certain medical treatments are not offered to us elderly. Apparently we are too old to live. There was a sort of interview where they asked me about insurance and do I rent. Why would they need to know about our house? Of course they forgot about my cheek. When I asked about the pills: "what are these?" they said, "Vitamins." I later read in my medical report they were giving me morphine. When I asked to see test results they said, "You wouldn't understand them." ******* times I said I was ready to go home, they would say calm down (??) and then give you more pills which put me to sleep. They tell me they will take me someplace for observation for 2 weeks and probably permanently...."because you need to learn how to get dressed, brush your teeth, use a ******." What??? So I threw the next cup of pills away, got dressed and ran down three flights of stairs to escape. Wow. They chased me until I sort of guided them to a large waiting room full of people. Also had my son on my cell phone as a sort of witness. As I told the story, loudly, they walked away. I heard one of the "audience" say "One flew over the cuckoos nest."

Do not go to any Mercy Hosptal Doctors. Dr. Woolard was rude and argued with me the entire appointment. He flat-out refused to help me and ignored my request for sedation on my spinal injections...even after I made a big deal about it. When I confronted him about it he continued to argue with me, disrespected me, and refused to give me medical care due to my insurance. Or him just neglecting his sacrd oath. I was caused more harm than when I went to see him!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away from DR *******.

My 4 year old daughter had to take a trip to the ** in August of 2022 for difficulty breathing. I was charged for various things but the ** charge was for $1172. Fast forwad to one year later and I had to take my 17 year old daughter to the ** for pelvic pains and b/c she hit her head. The ** charge for her was $4403. I tried calling to get an explanation as to why the charges were so different. The customer service rep told me the charges were different b/c of the symptoms my daughters were experiencing. So Mercy Hospital is charging me $3300 b/c one daughter had different symptoms than the other? This is absolutely ridiculous and straight up ROBB**Y. Talk about over charging and need to make money....Mercy does NOT care for the patient ONLY money. If you can absolutely explain to me why the charges are so different, I might understand. But you are already charging me for different tests, doctors and labs. Charging any patient because of their symptoms is absolutely insane. I once liked Mercy and would go there above any other hospital. NEV** AGAIN!

I called Mercy to tell them to send my bill back thru to ******** because I had talked to them and Mercy told me they couldnt do that unless they had the name of the person I talked to at ********. Who remembers a CS rep name when you call? I had to call ******** back and wait on the phone just to get a name. ******** said that wasnt true. All Mercy had to do was just submit the claim again thru the provider portal and if they had a problem someone at ******** could help them. The reps told a lie. Liar. Liar pants on fire

They're greedy and will not work with you, even when you try in good faith to get financial assistance. Do not go here unless you absolutely have to.
