    my tv was fried by a jasco surge protector

    The claimant filed a surge connected equipment warranty claim with Jasco on 07/08/24. Jasco received the surge protector from the consumer as part of the claims process.  The Engineering Lab tested the surge protector and determined it to be functioning normally without defect.  Jasco denied the claim as invalid after completing its Engineering testing and informed the consumer of its decision.

    filed a claim with this company for a failed unit, getting the run around with customer service. transfered me to a supervisor went straight to a voicemail its been over 2 weeks never got a call back from them at all.. tkt-******

    We talked to the claimant several times regarding his surge connected equipment warranty. We are disappointed he feels like his concerns were unanswered and want to confirm that we have reached out, discussed his claim, and explained in detail our claim determination.

    We sent the claimant a denial letter on October 10, 2023, based upon engineering lab testing results. It was this communication of the claim status which prompted his call on Oct 16th and subsequent escalation to a supervisor. We attempted to call back on October 17th, and were unable to leave a voicemail.

    In light of this consumers complaint with BBB we reached out to the phone number on this complaint which was different than the one we had on file.We again discussed the claim and explained the basis of the claim denial.  He was not satisfied with the claim determination.  Jasco has no further information to provide on the matter.

    My husband bought 3 **************** antennas at ******* online and they don't reply that much. He paid $60.00 dollars on all 3 antennas. And the antennas are not coming in good we only get 56 channels and that is it and the wire is not that good. We want our money back. We are recovering from covid and we are on oxygen. We are on social security disability. Resolution, we want our money back. Thank you.

    We are sorry to hear that the consumer was dissatisfied with their purchase. We contacted the consumer and explained that over-the air antennas will only pick up channels that are transmitted in their local area and the number of channels vary greatly. We explained that because these were not defective products and that they would need to reach out for a refund under the retailers return policy. They stated they tried but will make another attempt.

    This company is using the incorrect app and is making all the blue tooth products not operate. Below is an email from GE. JASCO you need to fix this issue ASAP!! or refund me the money I paid for my light switches!!!!Hi ****, The GE-branded devices are manufactured by Jasco Products. Jasco has discontinued support of these products, and Avi-on is under no legal obligation to provide support. Avi-on provides the Avi-on Home app as a courtesy to Jasco's legacy customers. As a courtesy, I escalated your request to our engineering team. They say that you are using the WRONG APP.

    Jasco Products manufactured GE Bluetooth controlled switches in coordination with the App developer, Avi-on Labs. Jasco Products discontinued the production of these devices approximately 4 years ago,however, they are still selling in close-out and resale markets.

    Jasco discussed the issue with the consumer after she had placed the complaint through BBB. Jasco explained to the consumer it has no control over the App or the App developer. The consumer confirmed the switch continues to be functional in manual mode, which is to say the product is still functioning as manufactured. The consumer was directed to Avi-on to address the App functionality. Avi-ons reply to the consumer in her complaint, appears to be saying that consumer is using the wrong app. The Avi-on Home App is stated on the developers website and in their reply to the Consumer, as the App which should be used with this device.

    I am rejecting this response because: This is a lame reply the switches are suppose to be bluetooth controlled, not go one and off like a regular light switch, I paid extra money for these switches to operate as such.

    My GE switch (date code ****) died on 4/15/2021. Yes, it is about a year ago. I emailed GE on that day and they said they were not supporting the product. So I just left it there for months. Recently I was researching this click of death issue after power outage and found out it is a known issue with these products and someone said online that you should contact Jasco, not GE, and the warranty had changed to 5 years. I then called Jasco and Jasco denied it because I contacted Jasco late and it was just out of warranty for about 2 days, even though it died long time ago. Thank you Jasco for terrible products with cheap capacitors and terrible service. I bought tons of your switches before and I will not buy anymore from your guys.

    Our ************* team reached out to the complainant and clarified our mistake in calculating his products warranty. We agreed to replace two products while maintaining two were beyond our product warranty and will not be replaced. The complainant seemed to be accepting of the offer and his complaint resolved.
