In March I went to their shop and picked up a n54-700 and dropped off a core. They were supposed to inspect the core to make sure it was a running core. When I pulled the core out of the car it was running. Only tapping slightly. They inspected it said it wasnt useable as a complete core and could only give me ****** out of the advertised ******* core. I didnt agree with the findings. They showed pictures from my core and the issues they had. Im not sure it was even my engine. I reluctantly told them I would take the ******. As of the end of May, they still havent sent the core money. *** called several times and had to leave messages. No one answers my calls or messages. Ive also sent numerous emails. I advised them I would be filing a complaint if I didnt hear from them by May 29th. They continued to ignore me. Since I have had to go through this issue with them I am wanting the entire ******* core fee back.Initial Complaint

The first interaction between ghassan automotive and myself was last june (06/30/2023). This is when I was looking to get my cars engine fixed by them. I sent 50% which they requested and that was just over $7k on 07/27/2023. They had the car in their possession at this time. I shipped my vehicle from ** to OK on the 22 of July. I did not receive my car back in ** until January (01/15/2024). The car was supposed to be finished before the end of October, then a problem came up, pushed it back, and this kept happening over and over again. The full balance of the car was paid in October so at this point I was waiting on them to finish the job they were supposed to do. The communication during this time was very poor and I was always the one reaching out for an update. Fast forward all those months to when I received my vehicle, in less than 10 miles of driving, my engine light came on and was back at a local shop to diagnose the car because it was driving poorly and the light was on. There was a missing part and they didnt install it correctly, however ghassan kindly reimbursed me for the part and labor. The local mechanic told me the engine was making a loud tick noise so I called ghassan and spoke with *****, he said it was fine and was just the upgraded internals. Not even 2 weeks after that, after turning on my car in my driveway I got a message that said it was overheating. Turned it off, got it towed to the local shop, and come to find out Ghassan did not install my water pump correctly and was missing bolts. This process was way too long trying to get a refund for a problem that was not caused by me. March 4th, the car has rod knock and that tick that I advised ghassan about was this. I got in contact with ghassan about this and the owner himself said New developments may cause us not be able to service your engine as well in the new future. I responded to that email he sent in regards to get my engine fixed and have not heard anything since 03/14/2024.Initial Complaint

On December 15th. 2023 a wire was completed for the engine rebuild project for $9685 which you all have received for payment on invoice #****. Since then, there have been many delays with this project and at this point, all communication has ceased and we've received no updates since April 9th about the status of the engine rebuild or if it's still in process or delay. We have not received anything from you all in terms of the product we purchased or a refund. We would like to be given our funds back as nothing we paid for has come to fruition. The company has not been responding to any calls or messages for the past 4 weeks since I had one of their motors put it. ********* was installed by a *** master tech at a performance shop. Once in with all new parts from the dealer, ********* had issues with the Cam sensor implausible via drivetrain malfunction (NEW VDO Sensor was put in Intake/Exhaust, new vanos, new actuator) and timing issues. The tech had to go into the timing after installation as it was assumed the motor was put together correctly but it was off by two teeth. Fixing the timing unfortunately didn&#**;t remedy the issue, A NEW DME was put in to rule that out but the same issue exists. During this time I tried calling the company daily with no response as this motor is under warranty. It seems I can&#**;t seem to get a hold of anyone to discuss options or the next steps. All the added labor is an additional cost as the initial cost was for swapping, part purchases, and installing the motor. This motor is just a complete nightmare. Awaiting a response from anyone at the organization. I&#**;ve contacted companies nearby to advise if this company is even operational with no concrete response.Initial Complaint

We ordered a remanufactured engine from Ghassan back in November of 2023. They stated at the time of ordering that we would need a core to be rebuilt or we could purchase a core from them. We did not have a good core so we purchased their remanufactured engine package for 9k and a core for a little over 5k. Communication during this time and over the time of the build was pretty good. I would have to follow up with our sales representative, ******, but I would usually receive a response within a few days. I have the invoices to provide if needed. The engine shipped February 27th and all seemed well. Our technician installed the engine. Upon completion of the engine he went through proper *** start up procedures and initiated start up of the engine. The engine did not start up smoothly and produced a check engine light within minutes of running. We also have documentation of this. Our technician checked the spark plugs and the bank 1 plugs were not firing. After some further investigation we found that bank 1 was shutting down shortly after firing the engine. We then checked the *** to see if there were any updates available. There were so we updated the ***. Now that the *** is running we still receive misfire codes as well as cam correlation codes meaning that Ghassan timed the engine incorrectly. My issue in all of this is their warranty states that they will cover defects and labor reimbursement but they will not respond to our emails or phone calls. I emailed them when we first ran into an issue. Waited days with no response so I emailed again with no avail. A week or so went by and I received an email that apolgized for their delay, they were short staffed and someone would reach out to us. That was a month ago and I still cant get anyone on the phone or someone to respond to my emails. We paid nearly 15k for a remanufactured engine that has to be half torn down because it was assembled wrong. This is coming out of my pocket currently and thats wrong.Initial Complaint

A rebuild engine was purchased by this business with a warranty on the engine. The engine failed shortly after it was replaced and now they dont even respond to phone messages or emails regarding replacement of engine since December 2023 the auto dealership has been trying to get someone to resolve issue.Initial Complaint

With the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances we are going through, we have been unable to focus purely on his project. I shipped my vehicle to be serviced by this automotive shop in 04/2023 because they stated on their site that they are specializing in working with these types of vehicles. They have not been truthful in the fact that they are incapable of obtaining the specific parts which my vehicle repair requires. We agreed upon a sum. They stated that we have to pay $4000, and then they added on $2000 for other parts. We have already paid the company $4800, and the vehicle is nowhere near to being serviced. They do not answer the phone, do not respond to any messages or communication. When we contacted them previously, they would tell us different stories as to why the work has not been started and each time it is a different response. On one instance they told me that they are backed up servicing other vehicles at the moment, another instance they said they have not been able to get the part yet, and the last communication, I was told that the shop is closed for the season and will be re-opening in March 2024. It has been a year since I initially shipped my vehicle to this shop. The agreement was that I will pay the remainder of the total sum for the work after all the repairs have been completed. I have my doubts that the work has even been started. They are now contacting me stating that I need to send them another $10,000, otherwise, they will not return the vehicle to me and will also charge me a fee of $20 per day to store my vehicle. This shop is a scam and I want my vehicle back, and a refund for the work that has not been completed and/or started after a whole year has passed. The customer arrived to our facility in ******** unannounced yesterday and was given a tour of our facility and a complete review of his situation. He has approved the work and we will move ahead. I am rejecting this response because:I arrived to Ghassan Automotive which is located in ******** from my home in ************, which is over 1300 mile drive because the business was evading all communications. I have now not only lost money by travelling 1300 miles to a different state, my vehicle has certainly lost value in this time. It wasn't until I arrived to the shop that they attempted to resolve my issue. I found my vehicle in complete disarray, the engine was taken out, parts scattered all over the shop, the windows to the vehicle were open and all of the interior along with the parts were all covered in dust and debris. I am now in communication with their manager via text and he is assuring me that they have everything they need except for a part (crankshaft) which they will be ordering. Although he is assuring me that they will be ordering the part and are in communication with a seller, I am not confident in this. I am aware that this part is very difficult to obtain and that is the only reason that I used this shop to repair my vehicle. They stated on their website and all previous communications that they specialize in such vehicles and obtaining parts will not be an issue. I have requested that they send me order confirmations of the part, and am only sent assurances. I would like to receive order confirmations in order to feel confident that the work will actually be completed and we avoid wasting any more time getting this done. Please see attached images and recent communications after the business has replied and claimed that the issue has been resolved completely. I will happily settle this complaint once I have received more than assurances.

but I didnt have to rejoice for long, the situation is repeating itself again, all deadlines have been violated, and there is practically no feedback, only different excuses, I get a response in 2 weeks

I first took a 2012 *** to have the engine rebuilt in March of 2020. It has been more than 3 years and the car is not fixed. The two times that I picked up the car, I didnt get far before it started backfiring. The last time that I pick it up in January of 2022, Ghassan loaded the car on my trailer. When we went to unload it, the car was in limp mode. This is after I had paid for 3 repairs. The local shop had to replace an injector, plugs, coils and changed oil and filter. After that, we just changed the oil once before the engine that he built blew up. I paid him 3 times, I paid the local shop and I havent had the car for more than 3 years. Every time that the car was returned, they kept it for more than six months and failed to repair it. This last time, the car has been there for 10 months. In April, I was told that they were taking the engine apart and I would receive a call in a few days. When I picked up the car in January 2022, I was told that I had two years guarantee and 20k miles. A few months later and just about 4K miles, the engine blew up. I have paid this business over 10k. To just get it running, I had to pay about 2k to another shop. More than 3 years have transpired and the car is still broken down.Business response

This is the second engine provided by Ghassan. The first engines be blew upon 3 hours. Before installing the second engine I had **************** inspection done. It was the same engine. The first engine blew and exposed me to toxic vapor. I stopped the car and it was full of coolant vapor. White toxic smoke. Ghassan personally harassed me Made threats across state line a felony in ********. That is a separate issu I am handling. Be aware this shop is a scam. They do not remanufacture anything. They assemble junk yard parts to complete their orders. I of course dont bring this lightly. My life was at risk because of their fraudulent manufacturing. Ghassan went so far as to threaten me! I have two children and dont expect a retail Operation to threaten me!! DVOBusiness response

Hello *****,
In regards to this situation, we have attempted to do everything possible in good faith to assist even though you went outside of our warranty to disassemble the engine we provided to you. You agreed that this was an impulse decision and we still allowed the engine to come to our facility for warranty inspection disassembled. We then remanufactured a new engine that you can see has a different serial number and sent it to your shop. Since we do run all of our engines on an engine test stand for an hour minimum, in your case on the second engine even longer, we ensured that the product you received was a fully functioning engine. Your second engine was sent to you with the result of your shop again going through the process of disassembly to the engine we provided. We explained to you that this again is a void to your warranty and addressed all concerns you had. Regardless of this, we provided you with the option to send the engine back to get a full refund, in which case you said you are keeping the engine to put all upgraded internals. No threats have been made from Ghassan Automotive, we have only received harassment and consistent threats from your side. It was at that point the company as a whole decided we could not work with you further. The company attempted to handle this with you with civility, however it was met with only poor manners and unprofessionalism.Customer response
